Jamaica is a n island with a rich history especially where slavery is concerned. It is good that someone is very interested in highlighting so that those who love history will be enlightened
Alex. You need to trace plantation owñer's family and get them to help restore the place with all its rich history for education and tourism. I dont find ave histpry embarrasing or unnecessary. O thonk we need tp know more about where we are coming from. Thanjs, fir you very hard work.
I am always pleased to listen to you applying the knowledge that you have discovered to the past struggles of our ancestors and how you emphatically explain how abandoned and untapped resources impact our present communities. I hope everybody was listening when you talked about the disproportionate distribution of water which is being channeled into large corporation while the poor folks that live in the same districts/communities have no water supply at all.
@@EliteJamaica Exactly! Remember I've been in Gargie and Trinity Ville so you are telling the truth. Even the more developed Seafort has pockets without supply. The Govt. should repurpose this aqueduct. So people can utilize this water. It’s a shame. Water water everywhere and not a drop to drink. Drinkable but not available‼️
Been a while since I’ve watched this channel and I had no idea that it expended into exploration content. Needless to say, I really enjoyed it, had my attention the entire time. Big up Elite 🎉

New Year’s Day and I just discovered this amazing eye opening vlog/documentary. I grew up near a canal in Westmoreland and now I want to know more- it must have serviced a plantation. We were never taught the history of these people and places: thank you tremendously. Keep up this valuable work.

Yes, I did enjoy this video so very, very much. Give thanks to your friend for helping you on that journey, and thank you very much for walking me through the path of my ancestors. As you walked the path of the aqueduct, I imagined how very difficult it must have been for my ancestors to have accomplished such an elaborate construction. I said to myself, these people must have had previous knowledge, prior to being captured and enslaved by these wicked demons. I imagined how hard it must have been to walk so far, carrying rocks back and forth at such far distances in the heat, probably being whipped and tortured at the same time. In addition, how our leaders have no vision, as these places could be excavated to attract tourist and make a lot of money for the Jamaican people. All they are interested in doing is to sell out our lands to foreigners. More importantly, the people of Jamaica would be able to benefit from the hard work of our ancestors, and to feel proud of the great feat and accomplishment of our ancestors. May God rest their souls. And again, thank you for walking me through the past, and walking the path of my great, beautiful, wonderful ancestors. But don’t worry, the sun is going to deal with them for all the evil they’ve being doing to us until today, and for what the enslavement, murder, rape, and torturing of my ancestors.
I hope you continue to do these types of videos, I think it's really important and I've often wondered whats left of these plantations. The aqueduct is really impressive and to think about the conditions it was being built under.. We must never forget that. I bet there's so much more to discover on the island in terms of the colonial history. I think you're doing a great job. It'd be good to have a bit more historical narrative from yourself, it helps to give more context and understanding. I love the camera angles as it makes me feel like I'm walking with you both though the bush!
