I'm assuming this takes place after Postal 4: No Regerts, when the Dude kills the original, passing the Demon onto him, or the Demon seeing him as the true successor and attempting to take over. I don't think the Demon here and now is dead, on the contrary, I think he's still alive. But he's been "pushed" or "cleansed" from Postal Dude's brain. Because it's an entity that creates mass-murdering psychos and killers, like the other demons mentioned in Postal Redux's co-op mode. He's not gone so easily, and even states that killing or ignoring him makes him stronger. But the Demon for now is gone, and in all honesty... I think the "Guardian Angel" from Postal 4: No Regerts has something to do with it. It's mentioned that he's looking out for Postal Dude and Champ, some influence from him may be why this Dude was able to fight off the Demon, contradicting how the original Dude pretty much gave in. Overall, if Postal's lore is to be taken seriously with a few grains of blood covered salt, I think it's a daring and dark story that I'm all here for. We'll see in the next Postal game!
I think the original postal dude may have been more easily controlled due to his situation, which was more shit compared to the other dudes, basically he didn’t care bout anything and maybe due to his moral going down every thing he passed through, the demon took control of him without problem
