*I'm deaf in my right ear which is why I'm not wearing headphones. I know, it's a bummer not to get the panning sounds. It's also been a bummer to only have one ear my whole life for lots of other reasons, like, playing telephone growing up, I was terrible at it. But, I'll be ok, and I'm getting both channels in the earbud, thanks for your concern :)

“Perennial” live at Wacken Open Air is one of their finest performances. Also, “On The Top” in Kiev (Napalm records) is another really good one.
Features a ten second note right after a four second note and some displayed agility in switching between clean and screamed vocals.
Plus all the other stuff they already all do. Ghost notes. Taps. Great riffs. Interesting time switches, etc.
There are two versions of that exact song and concert going around...one of them (which is the one Napalm uploaded) has the harmony added into the song towards the latter half...the other versions is 100% raw feed and does not have this added harmony. Both are amazing and sound almost identical, but that is something to note. The Kiev concert has actually been uploaded in it's entirety now without any editing from what I can tell is the same source used for the "On the Top" Kiev video. He should probably look to that if he is curious about what she can do with 0 post production...having seen them live, the entire band is amazing.

I’ve seen many reactions to Jinjer songs and yours are at the very top quality-wise. A lot of reactors just sit there and watch and say wow or only mention the growling, while you try hard to interpret the lyrics and discuss the craftsmanship and production. It’s very much appreciated. Thanks for a great video.

In particular, Who is Gonna be The One is a great encapsulation of Jinjer's sound. It's an older song, but still one of my favourite Jinjer songs
You need to watch a truly live performance like Perennial at Wacken, Who is gonna be the one or On the Top Live in Kiev. You'll be blown away.

Fun reaction and great analysis. I take that dynamic you talked about, smiling to show she can't be broken, as echoing the idea of "unblamable morality" she mentions in Pisces. I'll add my voice to the calls for Perennial at Wacken. They have a lot of great live performance videos, including some good full set releases by Napalm, various venues, and even bootlegs. Perennial is a great showcase of everything they do so well in concert though. Stay safe. Cheers!
Each song different so you'll have a hard time telling what is coming but you'll also know it is a Jinjer song when hearing it because they have their own style while being so unique. They also have great official videos and please continue to react to the lyrics because Tatiana puts a lot of effort into them.

The lyrics sites all get that part wrong. She says “She gave a hint I was the clou of her mass”. ‘Clou’ is a word that has fallen into disuse, it means ‘the point of interest’ (or attention). I’d never heard that word before, it took a Ukrainian metal goddess - for whom English is a second language - to introduce it to me. 🤔 www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/clou

We use the modern word variant "clue" in a different context, although still a "point of interest". Bear in mind that when I was a kid, people used the spelling "clew" as well. I don't see that one now either.
Tribal Talker But the modern “Clue” (a piece of evidence or information; a hint) doesn’t fit the context at all. “...the clue of her mass”? The old word (especially when interpreted as “center of attention”) fits the context very well. One lyric site uses “clown of her class” - which she *clearly* does not say. Both AZ and Genius lyrics have corrected this. Metal kingdom added a “d” - “cloud”; probably a typo. Edit: I was pleasantly surprised to find that “most” lyric sites no longer contain this mistake, as I asserted in my first comment.
@@cyberia55 Ah, misunderstandings... "Clou" is correct, I was simply adding more detail. A modern related word/remnant is "Clue". Even for this, the spelling is changing, was recently "Clew". Language being modified as it is used. Unrelated example: "Hello" used to be an expression of surprise (as in "hello, what's this?") and only recently has become a greeting. In old books, you can see "Hallo" and "Halloo" as alternative spellings. Words, fabulous but transitory.
Great reaction and glad you are digging into the lyrics. Tati is a brilliant lyricist and all Jinjer songs have some real deeper content. Obvious Tati and the band have talent but they are more then just that. Really liked how you saw that she was not talking about just schools but all those in power over you. Note Tati went to university as a literature major with teaching as her career. Her parents wanted her to teach.
Glad to see you do this one!! Great reaction to a brilliant song. Another astounding aspect of Tati's abilities, is she improvises almost all of her vocal work in the studio on top of their tracks; Eugene (bass player) says he, Roman, and Vlad are always amazed at how she just shows up and lays it all down, coming out of her completed with almost no preparation. She just has it all inside her. A real gift.

Yea, I normally don't listen to growling.. very specific songs, from a very select number of bands. But, I love listening to virtually everything jinger does.. I don't know if there is a different quality to her growl,, or female growlers in general.. don't know.. But, I love it.. I too started out shocked, but by the second listen it was "This is very interesting... but I think I LIKE IT.." from that point on, I'm addicted.. Really love the Metal Core sound.. They incorporate it all.. "the stops" the "blast beats", etc..

Who is going to be the one live. There is a growl that Tatiana hits in the song that is just ridiculous. It is a live on stage concert video no post processing. As for that growl, when the bassist confuses Drax with his thumb and neck that's your clue that its coming.

Interestingly, there's a video from the band of Eugene (bassist) playing his part at one of the tapings for this. While it's a bass-centered video, you can hear Tatiana's vocals going on as well.
It's not as clean as in this produced audio, but even the raw footage shows the quality of her vocals.

I thought your breakdown was pretty spot on. I'll listen to Aretha, Patsy Kline, Whitney, Ann Wilson, Stevie Nicks, Pat Benatar, etc., but there's just something about Tatiana's clean tones & range that may make her my favorite & believe there's not a genre she couldn't sing. I believe I mentioned them after your Pisces reaction, but I'll ask again for a Band-Maid reaction please. Just a few days ago they released a live performance video on their official channel of the song "Domination" as a little teaser for their upcoming DVD release. Thank you.

i know being nice is hard and giving people the benefit of the doubt is hard. pretend for just a moment that i setup a camera, microphone, lights, green screen and operate a computer because i am able to read. so okay, you figured out i can read, then what next? why would i choose not to read a video description? is it possible because this is a reaction i purposefully avoid easily obtainable information? couldn't i just google what all these songs mean to other people and just be done with it all? maybe there's something more to it...... and be nice in my comments :)
Really good that you go through the lyrics and think about them. Tatiana would approve! I think the song is a bit more generic in it's message on overbearing authoritarianism, it is not just religion but also parents, governments, societal mores and personal prejudices. Your example of how people are realising that sexuality isn't a simple binary choice was a good one.
I think you should react to "Who is gonna be the one (live)" Napalm official video next. It is really very, very good. Tatiana's stage presence is impressive, too.
When (if) you choose to react to Perennial, everyone will tell you to do the live version. But they've already seen the "official" video and so I suggest doing both, maybe in one sitting. You'll only need to go through the lyrics once, so it won't be doubly long. The video version is beautiful and will help you understand the vibe of the song better. Then watch the live version, primed and ready.

The line that is most relevant to me in this song is...
"Don't let the schools make fools of you, because the teachers may be fools too."
To me, that speaks of indoctrination in our colleges more so than at a religious school. Because more often than not, students come out of college dumber than when they started. Their minds get cluttered with a lot of SJW nonsense that makes them not being able to discern what is really true or not.
