- One of my favourite scenes of "Blood Simple". All copyrights belong to the makers of this movie and the distributors and what not.
You know, you know, a friend of mine a while back broke his hand and put it in a cast. Very next day, he falls, protects his bad hand, and he breaks his good one. So he breaks it too, you know. So, now he's got two busted flippers. So, I says to him: "Creighton," I says. "I hope your wife really loves you, because for the next five weeks, you can't even wipe your own god damn ass." - Фільми й анімація
The way that girl walks away from the car is so rehearsed 😂Great dialog! Epic scene!
Such a fantastic scene. The whole movie is great, but this is the best part, mainly because of Walsh's ability to be so sleazy but likable at the same time. Thanks for uploading!
I like how the shadows make him look briefly like a monster when he laughs at 1:42 it’s shows how evil this guy is even before there’s mention of murder
Walsh & Hedaya,a classic film couple, the Coens lucked out with these actors. Thanks for posting.
M. Emmett Walsh is a great actor...ever since the first time i saw this movie i never have forgotten his monologue....."the world is full of complainers, etc."
that look of "goddammit will you do it or not" always gets me
The first time I noticed M. Emmet Walsh was in Little Big Man in which he played a terrified stage coach driver being attacked by Native Americans. Little Big Man was a stage coach passenger who tried to take the rifle from Walsh who would not give it up and screamed "No, it's mine!" If the Coens were better know in 1984 Walsh would certainly have been nominated for an Oscar for Blood Simple. He was brilliant, a combination of sleaze, psychopath, and smiling good ole boy. Check out all his facial expressions in this scene, ranging from self-amusement, disgust, contemplative. Incredible actor.
God, i piss myself each time i hear the busted flippers story!
What a great film! 🎥🙂
my favorite moment in this entire movie is 2:24 walsh's face before and after hedaya says "it's no joke." without the laughter all that's left is weary contempt and a fly crawling on his temple. perfect
Well, if it pays right and it's legal, I'll do it
It's not strictly legal
Well, if it pays right ... I'll do it
That is the perfect line to describe the greatest Coen Brother Villain - M Emmet Walsh's PI - unlike Anton Chigurh in No Country for Old Men, who goes by his twisted moral code, This guy has no moral code
yeah, in a weird way Walsh plays a more evil character than Bardem, but both are truly awesome defined villain characters only Coen bros can come up with.
@@ronny0ragtroll The Coen brothers didn't come up with the Bardem character Cormac Mccarthy did.
I love this character. The first and (I think) best psycho killer the Coens ever wrote. He's bizarre, eccentric, funny, and completely psychotic.
And he has some of their best lines. "Stick your finger up the wrong person's ass?"
LOL....How can you not LOVE a line like that??!! Tells you all you need to know about the attitude of this great villan.🤣🤣
M. Emmet Walsh is such a great actor. Even when he plays a disgusting character such as Visser.
He passed away today. 😢
"Creighton, I hope your wife really loves you, 'cause for the next five weeks you can't even wipe your own Goddamn ass!"
The Coens are masters at capturing the perpetual folly of mankind, thank you so much for uploading this as an individual clip, man.
From parole officer to hired killer...M Emmitt Walsh
a common theme in coen bros movies, established right here in their first, is for characters to have an established set of ethics (or lack thereof), especially in the killing or villain business. this makes the character feel more three dimensional than just a nice character design. every action they make is dictated by how much they are willing to adhere to their own moral judgments.
walter sobchak in the big lebowski and larry gopnik in a serious man come to mind immediately. they are both kind of on the extremes of navigating a hellish biblical panic attack of a life. and both react to things going wrong (in their point of view) extremely fitting for their character
Sorry no comprenday is there a full version of this film available to watch on you tube not just film clips
IS there A full version of this film available in you tube to watch
Do yourself a favor & buy a physical copy. Also own No Country For Old Men. Western neo-noir at its best
WALSH: "...better hope your wife loves you 'cause you ain't gonna be able to wipe your own ass! (laughing)."
CLUB OWNER DUDE: "...I have a job for ya..."
WALSH: ( bursts out laughing afresh)
Walsh is such a great character actor. I feel you could meet this guy (Visser) at any sleazy bar in Texas.
0:09 Was that Tom Cruise?
I saw Matt Dillon
Walsh is so much scarier than the one-note Anton Chigurh
He's scarier because he has no moral code ...it's not principle...it's just him ...he has friends ..and can kill so easily ..for money
And better looking..
Both amazing characters I would love to hear a conversation between them
