I have the wired Apple USB and the Logitech K380 in rose pink (it was £5 cheaper in that colour). Overall I prefer the K380. I’m a slow 30 words per minute typist so I couldn’t notice much difference. The K380 was much better at connecting to other Bluetooth devices. My ideal Bluetooth keyboard would be a folding one without any power draining backlight that works on all operating systems Windows, Mac OS, Smart TV, Android & iOS. USB-C rechargeable too.
I could definitely agree with you about the keys on the K380; i just got one today and that was one of the main reasons I got it. One of the other reasons was because the multi device aspect of it. Thanks for the review on the two key boards! I’m gonna watch ur dedicated k380 video right now
I have the K780 which is the more premium version of the K380. It includes a built in tablet stand and a numeric keypad. I definitely type better on the K780 than a traditional keyboard. I think the round keys and the slight concave of the keys make a huge difference. I wish Logitech would swap the location of the FN and CTRL keys to match the Mac layout though.
I used to have the Logitech keyboard and now I have the magic keyboard…watching this video makes me feel nostalgic for the Logitech. The quality of this video is great. The magic keyboard has the backspace button - surely that’s the same as the delete button?
thanks a lot for watching! 😊 what I know the backspace key deletes the letter before the cursor, while delete key deletes the letter before the cursor. Delete is also kinda useful for me when I use the keyboard for my work laptop which is on Windows (need the ctrl+alt+delete to unlock).
Thank you for this comparison. I decided to the get the k380. I prefer a separate keyboard as apposed to specific keyboard case for an iPad. This way I don’t have to buy a new keyboard every time get a new ipad. I also like the easy switch between devices. I use a rapoo Bluetooth mouse that I can easily switch with a button between my mackbook air and iPad 5. I like that the logitec uses replaceable batteries as opposed to the fixed internal battery that means you don’t have to replace the whole keyboard in a few years when the battery dies.
This keyboard is nice! I have the same keyboard, but it's very useful for video editing. Thank you for the very easy-to-understand video. With love from Japan :)
Hello from Bangkok! Thanks for watching! So glad to hear that my videos are watched in Japan 🥰 I saw in your channel you have the Logitech Craft! Nice one! 👍🏼
I really enjoy using the apple magic keyboard over the k380, the scissor mechanism gives a good feedback without any wobble, while the k380 also has decent feedback, the travel distance is a bit more paired with the rounded keys, i get immediate feedback that i m not pressing the key with the right finger, which is not so much on the apple keyboard although the keys are spaced ou a bit more so end up hitting the side key as well , like if i use the middle finger to type "l" might inadvertanly touch k as well
Congratulations! I loved it your review. I saw many videos but definitely your review it was the most interesting and focus. For this video was that I decided to buy the K380. Thanks again. Hugs!
Hated this keyboard. Hoped it would grow on me. Took it back after a week. Got the MX keys instead. Basically the pro version. The circular keys on the k380 caused so many typos and missed keys. You can’t feel out the keys because they all feel the same.
My K380 just broke after 1 year of use. The key mapping went haywire, I had used my company's magic keyboard previously and it worked longer than expected
Please, the external hard drive is Seagate 4 TB, can it work on the iPad Air 2 (iOS +13) Is it necessary to format the external hard drive on the Mac in order for it to work on the iPad Air 2
I also have k380 but it began having issues when i updated my Os a week ago. It suddenly stops typing tho it’s still connected via bluetooth. Do u experience the same issue? Also, some special chars do not appear when i type on apple notes. Like ?-():; etc
sorry to hear that your stopped working. i am currently typing on my K380 and seems to work ok. also with the ?-(); I suggest you to check the keyboard language if it is set to non-English. Usually that’s the cause. good luck! 😉
I have a dumb question for you, is there any way to reuse my Bluetooth keyboard which comes with a usb piece that I used with my laptop... Maybe with a hub it would be possible? Or with a hub, can I use my other keyboard which is using a cable. Just because I don't want more keyboards...
not a dumb question! 😉 on my iPad Pro, I have tried to use an adapter to plug in a usb receiver but on a mouse. I made a video about it: ua-cam.com/video/h3oFxbgiP0k/v-deo.html I also tried on my iPad Air 3 to use another adapter to plug the usb of a keyboard and it works too. here’s my video on it: ua-cam.com/video/vTsl4VQ-rLE/v-deo.html You just need to check carefully if the adapter will work with your iPad.
I have the K380, been using it for a while with my iPad 8. I'm actually surveying other keyboards right now cause I'm a fast typer which the K380 cannot really catch up with hence it's been bugging me. I've watched reviews for iPad keyboard, but now I might prefer a Magic Keyboard.
cool! i am sure you will enjoy the Magic Keyboard if you really like the low key travel! I guess you really type super fast if the K380 cannot keep up with you 😉
My k480 isnot working well on my ipad pro 12.9 2020. Each of my logitech keys are functioning differently and i cant type.... But i have no problem while using on Windows pc. I tried forgetting the device and reconnecting but that didnt help.. Help me out.. Thanks in advance.
maybe try to check the iPad language. Usually it is the reason why some keys don’t work, when it is set to non-English. If it still does not work, then maybe it’s better to check with Logitech!
@@MindyC that’s a bummer! I’ve bought one for my iPad Air 3 and works superbly. Especially with the integrated touchpad and the dedicated keys, everything just works.
@@TheMadPiper72 Aye, it's worth the money, because you also get the tablet case and it's just so easy to take the keyboard off. Literally, you just take it off or put it back on and that's it.
Hi that was a good review. I'm planning to buy a keyboard for my iPad. Is this keyboard equivalent to iPad magic folio in terms of functionalities? Does all shortcut works?
😆 I guess my blue K380 is old that keys make louder noise. I used my friend’s new white K380 (I have another video on 😉) and it types a bit more quiet than my blue one. But yeah! maybe i’m typing too hard!
I hope your channel soon blows up in views. This is high quality content.
It really is
Thank you for watching and for your nice comments!!! 😍
I have the K380. I know what you mean about the keys having a sink/indentation in them that your fingers just fit into! Thanks for the review!
Yeah! Glad to know you understand what I mean 😍 thanks for watching!
On K380, use Fn+Up Arrow or Fn+Down Arrow to change display brightness
Nice pro tip. I used to have this keyboard.
does not work on ipados for me
@@benjaminvanlalvena agreed. This works on macOS and that too, you need to have Logitech Options software installed.

I’m using Logitech K380 with IPad 8th Generation. It works smoothly. Nice to touch.
Glad to hear you (and I) are enjoying your K380 😊 Happy New Year!
Thanks for the video! Here in Mexico prices are a turning point, $ 30 for the K380 vs $ 120 for the Magic, so I need to fall in love with the k380.
K380 is a great keyboard for its price!

fantastic review... organized and straight to the salient points. as others have pointed out, very high quality content.

I use the magic keyboard. It’s a professional keyboard, full size and matches the size of my iPad Pro 12.9. Simple choice.
ah so you use the magic keyboard full size with the numpad? Must be quite expensive (though a cheaper than the magic keyboard for the ipad, I guess!)
How does this match the size of your ipad??
@@MindyC I use the keyboard without the numpad

Yes you’re right! It’s possible to customize the 4 buttons via Logitech Options app that’s available in Windows or Mac i think.

No. I hope it won’t make noise 😆
