- This was a MDF board that is 4‘ x 2‘ that I Have done a previous painting on
I used 6 -1/2 cups of Resin for this painting.
I also used white Mica With a little bit of white glitter mixed in with it I also used black ink from the Epoxy resin store And I use the Liquid gold leaf and Black cut glass crystals
I also used General use Resin from The Epoxy resin store.

I liked them both,even the one you painted over I was just learning to resin and had made a few ocean scenes for my family when Corona made it's appearance. Now as a nurse I am working long days and a lot of them.my grandson wants a geode and my son wants a nebula scene,hopefully I can retire in a few years but until then I will watch you and other artists do your wonderful art that brightens my day.

It’s been many months since I’ve watched your channel or anyone’s........This year has really stifled my creativity. There IS hope on the horizon though. This is stunninggggg❤️❤️❤️. I am Soo happy I came across this video. I also want to try resin art. Can you please guide where to buy mdf board. How thick it should be and how to prime it. I am afraid about the warping.
You can get MDF board from Lowe’s or Home Depot I buy half inch thick you can prime it with spray paint or paint it with house paint front and back and it will not

How do you keep the black from bleeding/ blending into the white?
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!!! AFTER SEVERAL, SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO MAKE MY RESIN BEHAVE ON STRETCH CANVAS I GAVE UP USING IT BUT THE WAY U GLIDE YOUR HANDS OVER YOUR PAINTINGS IS CALMING AND MAGICAL SO MAYBE I'LL TRY WOOD. WHAT KIND DO I GET AND WILL I HAVE TO SAND SIDE'S FOR SMOOTHNESS? 💘 STAY SAFE!!!
MDF board and no it does not needed to be sanded you can get them from Home Depot or Lowe’s you can actually get a 4’ x 2‘ and have them cut it down to any sizes you want they do it for free and the board only cost 10 dollars Or you can get a 24 x 24 MDF board for six dollars
Very nice Monica, I learned a lot from your technique. I would like to know how do you calculate the amount of resin you need for each board?
I just look at a piece and know exactly how much to use I’ve been doing it so long but there is a website you can go online and use their calculator it is called art resin thanks so much for watching❤️❤️
I love this. So elegant. What do you use for your gold? I can not find one that comes out like gold.
You can get a really good gold on Amazon it is called MEHRON it looks like a weird gold powder but when you mix it with resin it becomes the prettiest real looking old I absolutely love it oh and by the way I just subscribed to your channel you’re so cute and your work is really pretty stay safe and thanks for watching❤️❤️😷
