Love the look of the bike and the worth while upgrades you have made. I own a 17' and after 3 years I upgraded the front and rear suspension. Front has Cogent Dynamics DDC drop in cartridges, 10w oil and preload adjustment caps. Made a world of difference with front end feel. much smoother ride and dive when hard on the binders is much improved. I replaced the rear shock the a K-tech Razor R. Separate adjustment for rebound and compression. Adjustable preload and shock length. The bike is a riot to ride on the twisty roads and does alright on track days even with a novice like me. Great bike. I own a 2007 model, bought new and I'm still in love with it. I have the same mods and this year I decided to re-spray in a matt carbon grey. It looks really amazing!
I bought my 2004 model in Dec. 2021. All mods were made by the original owner. The second owner said that the rear shock was sourced from a GSXR 600. I added a Sargent seat and am very pleased with the added comfort. Given the mods made to the battery box, I added a lithium battery to prevent battery movement while riding. It's also smaller and fits snug under the seat. I have a little snap and crackle from my Yoshi as well. It's equipped with Power Commander 3. Perfect bike for the backroads of Tennessee. Love the looks of your bike. Happy riding!
Clean looking bike dude. I have some similar modifications done to my K4. The best/least expensive way to improve the rear end is with a ZX10r rear shock. Drops right in and makes a world of difference. R6 throttle tube makes a snappier throttle response and helps eliminate some of the twist. Cheers and keep the shiny side up!
I be riding motorcycles since I was 14 years old. Suzuki is the number one for me. Al the hat’s , first time I have one of this one’s. I loved…. My is blue.
I just bought a 2003 SV1000. I like the motocross bars. That’s exactly what I had in mind too. I also got some GSX forks. I like your other upgrades. Such a great looking bike. It still looks modern to my eyes.
I bought a 2003 naked like your's occasionaly and love it. For me your crash pads are of interest and the chain set. I will got to BT016pro when the tyres are down. I guess the winner of several sport tyre test's of 2011 and 2012 maybe sufficient for the SV650 k3 @least. At the moment i prefer the SV to a 1000cc Gixxer in the garage.Honestly.

I just bought a 2017 today. 12000 miles. I got my first bike 2 months ago, a DRZ 400S. This will be my second I needed something better on the highway, but still be able to sit up straight. The handling is sooooo different, I am not used to it yet.
Dude, 1st. best video of this model, 2nd 405lbs :O OMG. After I saw your vid (the LBS :O) , I'm sure my next bike gonna be this instead of a new pricier one.. Thanks for the guide! ;)
I did have as well the previous model, sv650n 2000 . I just loved that bike it was like yours. I did play with it as well. Now I’m thinking again to get one. Very nice bike 👍👌
I took yss 456 shock for my 2003 N. Payed 265euro (am writing from germany ) at the forum dealer. It's worth every cent. YSS is a big company in thailand.
Think I'm buying this bike tomorrow. Found one in Cali, a 2003 w/ only 10,000 miles on it, PERFECT condition and maintenance records. He wants $2500, hoping to get it for $2000. Would be my first street bike purchase, ever.
Matt M Whatup Matt.. Man, what a crazy day lol. Honest to God true story.. So the 2003 SV650s that I was gonna buy, I chickened out. It was beautiful tho ! I dunno, he wanted more money than what he originally said, and I wasn’t with it. He wanted $3000k, I couldn’t do it. But later in the day I went by a dealer close to me, and they had a new 2018 SV650 (non ABS) w/ an out the door cost of $6000k.. So I bought it. Impulse buy but, I really wanted an SV. Now, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t scared because it doesn’t have ABS but I am just gonna have to learn w/o it, tighten up my skills, and always ride safe. I guess it’s ok...the 2003 didn’t have ABS either.. I dunno, we’ll see. Gonna pick up the bike this week. Hell, I don’t even have my license yet lol.
@@TopshelfJunior What part of CA? No ABS is fine. Don't be afraid to brake hard - just don't be braking hard while turning, that's what's going to bring you down lol.
TRex makes frame sliders that use the top engine bolt. New bolt with the sliders on the ends. In a hard slid the stock placement for the sliders will brake off
I used an sv650 an it was a sweet bike for what it is. I used it for sport. Not a circle riding, but moto gymchana. The problems with front suspension and brakes can be solved with used GSXR front end($500). Stiffer springs will hurt you back and hands as it will ignore small bumps! If you want to go with stock front end just use progressive springs and w10+w15 mixed oil. Plus steel brake hoses and good brake pads. Don't count much on steel brake hoses, it won't help much. It's still no much to four piston brake calipers with resin hoses. As for the rear suspension. Go with used zx6r or zx10r shock($50-100). But, with lowering links. Which is can be easily made on any laser cutter($50). Elsewhere you will get you rear end up too high which will case oversteering.
I currently have a 2003 SV 650 S and in need of a fork seal replacement because of the seals leaking and putting on the tubes. 😃 .90 stiffer springs n damper rods swap that’s great that you replaced yours for under $250 wow
Hi, If you want to get rid of the popping you can block the PAIR system, and if you get it out there are some weight savings. Also you get a cooler exhaust.

What specific model is your rear fender eliminator with those turn signals tucked into the seat fairing. That looks sick, I've been looking haven't yet solved for my pipe situation for this mod.... Any thoughts?
Did you find those integrated rear turn signals bro? I want those so bad
Love the bike. I have the same model same color. What seat is that? I was about to change the seat on mine as well.do you think a 02 seat will fit? Thanks for the tips!
Thanks. Not sure about the 02 seat, mine is a Sargent seat.
@@predictionpain2632 looks awesome. I guess I'll call a local upholstery haha
What is your 0-60 now with 47 rear sprocket
Where’s you buy the tail lights and under tail? Very clean
Not sure, it was on when I got the bike.
I would go for a bikini fairing a padded seat cover for long rides and a tank bag and possibly a rear rack mounted bag for interstate or weekends away.😊
What aftermarket mirrors do you think would fit it best?
Muchas gracias!
Does this yoshimura also fits on the k8? Sv 650 2008?
Mate, where the hell u find out those back arrow/signals with all the underseat plate?
They were on it when I got it
Will this work with the 2019 sv650 ?
Get some barend mirrors, would probably save a couple of grams but it looks so much better in my opinion :) Sweet bike btw, now I want an sv 650... :D
I have thought about it, they do look better! pick one up they are super cheep.
Where did you get those tucked away turn signals?
Not sure, they were on it when I got it
So do these mods work on the newer sv650 or no
Please tell me what aftermarket seat you have. A Corbin ? People tell that the stock seat is horrible, is it true ? Nice video, thank you !
it's a sergeant
@@predictionpain2632 Thank you ! And do you like it for the price and comfort ?
@@martinquinn3382 I like it, it's well made, I don't go on long rides, comfort has not been an issue.
@ Predictionpain do you still have your original headlight fairings ? If so would you sell it to me I’ve been looking to buy one for my 07 it’s the exact same color!
Sorry, Mine didn’t come with a fairing.
Are there any fitment issues with the controls ( horn , turn signal, etc) due the the bigger handle bar diameter
The assembly where the start switch is has maybe centimeter gap where is comes together. It’s only noticeable if you are looking for it. And since the bars a wider if you turn all the way to the right there is a slight pull in the clutch wire but is doesn’t effect any functionality.
What's the name of eliminator kit?
Were did u get the handle bars
What taillight and signal setup is that?? I got my 03 sv today and I want mine to be like that
Updates? Did you find it?
Was the soundtest with or without db killer? Greetings from Germany
Without
what type of mirrors are those though?
What rear indicators do you have?
are those your rear turn signals under the brake lights and what brand are they?
Any luck finding them?
