I received my LED strip so fast, installed on the inside of my Demibot arms with realpit switching and OH HELL YESSSSS!!! I cannot believe how freakishly bright they are! So very very cool just like neon! I'm not into LEDs but had to have this product with no regret whatsoever. Vid doesn't even do them justice. Scuse me I'm off to order more.

Awesome, i'd probably go with the 3-4S, they'll run off 12v. The backing is 3M adhesive. So it'll stick right on. Gotta buddy who made a light up safety jacket and helmet for his Vespa 👍
These are so cool... I wish I had found your channel and this video a week ago!! I just bought three different strips of cob led's in Red, Green, and Blue. The red and green will be used for navigation on my 40" fpv wing for LOS flying at night... its nearly pitch black in my area with next to zero ambient lighting even with the moon out!! The Blue will be the main wing colors! What 12 volt reg do you use? All the 12v volt regs I've found before posting this comment were these cast aluminum heat sinked block regs, they're huge and heavy! Also how would you wire a RealPit with a PWM Aviation Receiver?

If you are running individual esc's, you probably have your main battery lead coming to your FC or to a PDB board. You can solder the LED leads right to the same pads as your main battery lead. So they are on the big + and - pads 👍
You want to keep it as light as possible. Check out Duracell 27 and a matching battery tray, if you want easy and disposable. If you want to be bright as possible, go for a 4S 300mAh lipo and use XT30 connector....but that's going to need a lipo charger that alot of DJI pilots dont have. I appreciate the request, i'll think on it a bit more and see if i can make an easy kit👍

What kind of video is this? In quality settings it says HDR and the video is just a tiny square in the top left corner of the player and the rest of the screen is green
@@willpowerfpv3246 yeah it's still the same for me 10 months later. I have a 3 year old Honor 20 Pro with Superior LCD screen. AMOLED sucks because it wears out and has poor low contrasts and tinted screen and black spots.
@@xxBlackpspxx it's funny you mention that, because I didn't have any issues with my Samsung that I recently sold, but I went back to my five-year-old Huawei mate 20 Pro, and Huawei is the parent company of Honor, so they must be using the same video encoder. 🙃

Just a soldering iron 👍 you can optionally add a RealPit chip for $5, that will allow you to control the LED's with a switch on your radio, but most direct wire them so they are on when the quad is on 👍
I must be crazy. Tried soldering to my board plugged it in and nothing. Bought the 4s version. Am I missing something more to soldering these? My SpeedyBee F405 has 4 dedicated pads as well and nothing. Tried separate pads and nothing. Going insane.
Dont use the led pad for my single color strips, they just need to be wired straight to Vbat, so they get the full 4S voltage without any regulators. I typically solder right to the main battery leads on the esc. If you want to do a quick test, just stick the led leads into a charged 4S battery, but prepare your sunglasses 😎 if you're stuck, shoot me a DM on instagram or FB messenger @FlyHighFPV
I already do! I have a 6S addressable RGB COB Strip, only 4mm wide, available on my site now, and I'm working with my manufacturer to develop a 3-4S version too 👌
Hey man, how do you install the LEDs , I am new in the hobby and just got the LED strip to install in 2 of my quads. I want to make sure I know how to do it. Do I connect them directly to the lipo or to the ESC?
The main battery leads go from the lipo to the + and - pads on the ESC. You can piggy back the led + and - right on the main leads on the esc. That way as soon as you plug in the battery the LED's get power off the esc, and you dont need any regulators 👌
They fold no problem, just dont pinch em, i recommend supporting with zipties 👌 ken heron has an awesome video on putting them on a Mini2 and a Phantom
Just a soldering iron, and you can use some spare motor wire if you need a lead. I solder the LED's positive and negative right on top of the main battery leads on the ESC. So just piggy back on the big joints, right where they connect to the ESC. I love the F55A and the V45A, kick ass ESC's
One more question bud! To attach them to the frame via the sticky side, should I pull off both backing completely? Or just the first one? I did pull off both where the pad was to solder. Just not sure if I should take the rest off? To make it stick better?
@Smokebreak FPV to sodler i peel both back half an inch to expose the joints, after soldering i put a dab of conformal coating onnthe joint and then heatshrink coveres the joint. I then lay the half inch of sticky adhesive back down on the heatshrink. To apply it to your frame, first clean with ISO if youre covered in grass, then peal the paper backing off a little at a time, leaving the clear adhesive on the strips, and sticking it to your frame a few inches at a time. As i finish each arm, i zip tie the arms , and if you have a tight corner or a spot where it's coming off a lil dab of CA glue is fantastic for repairs 👍
Can plug straight into a 6S, but all the lux bags had green 6S sample strips. They're only 25cm, but you can segment that into 5 peices. If you order a strip from the site it's a full meter, any color you like, and i offer them in 6S or 3-4S 🙌
Yeah, it is usually about $17-25usd to get even a tiny light weight package shipped out of the United States, but you can load up to 1lb before the shipping price goes up (I keep it real, everything based on actual shipping costs). Dude, Ken Heron just did a video on that! He used A23 batteries for one, and a 4S lipo for another (much brighter).

I usually avoid using regulators and power directly from mains voltage. If you need a regulator, Pololu makes great ones

Do these hook up to your FC? Are they powered directly from your 6s battery?
These single color only need vbat to light up. I typically wire them on the esc main battery pads 👍

Check the 6S listing on my site. Many of the 6S colors will actually still produce alot of light on 5S 🤘
