As a 10+ years user of Dell, and 3 generations of XPS owner. I always also a consultant for my surrounding people for buying dell. Look at the number: 3000 series & 5000 series is low end. 7000 series is mid range. 9000 is for high end. The next number is screen size: 3 is 13 inches - 4 is 14 inches and so on so on. Now it's really confused to me !!!
It should have been Dell, Dell Pro and Dell XPS. Just imagine adding the processor names from Intel to this -> Dell Pro 14 Premium (Intel Core Ultra 7 266V vPro)
At least people won't confuse a mediorce Inspiron with far better build quality Latitude anymore. The naming convention is still going to take time for most people to get used to.
Literally every media outlet is describing the name changes differently! 🤣🤣🤣 Everyone is confused and they’re supposed to be the professionals! Imagine what it’ll be like for the poor consumers. A one word name like Precision is replaced with a 4 word name like Dell Pro Max Plus. 🤯 Once the 2026 models come into the market alongside the unsold 2025 inventory it will be utter chaos. 🤡🤡🤡
Dell messed up the XPS lineup...😢 Messed up the screen brightness of all alienware laptops...😢 Dell is always messing up with things people love the most..😭.
There was no freaking need to get rid of the Lattitude XPS and Inspiron names at all! All this does is show just how cancerous Apple's influence was once again by having these in such unoriginal labels!🤦🏾♂️
Pro max is such a bad name - so dell now has a product called pro max premium 🤢 ... Even ultra would be better ... The previous names were so we'll known and respected - I think all they needed to do is simplify the model numbers into single numbers and add a year suffix e.g Dell precision 5 2024 edition
@tahsin28 Check dellout during holiday sales. Look for "like new" because they are. All the retail stores return them and you get a new laptop and normal consumer prices.
"Dell Pro Max Ultra AI Co-Pilot Plus PC" just rolls off the tongue
Thanks I hate it
I know right; It is sooooo much worse than the "Dell Mobile Precision 7691 AI Co-Pilot Phantasy Suffix Workstation" /s

This is more confusing now 😆
exactly not needed so many names and they pay million of dollars to those who are behind these naming wow
It's foolish
What are all these marketing departments doing? Are there no other ideas to simplify the names than PRO, PRO MAX?
Really Dell, Copying Apple that's so cheesy. People could not remember XPS it was too difficult to remember? Sounds like an excuse dell.
Everyone had to memorise all those names just to be confused again.
It should have been Dell, Dell Pro and Dell XPS. Just imagine adding the processor names from Intel to this -> Dell Pro 14 Premium (Intel Core Ultra 7 266V vPro)
People got dumb with apple naming forcing other OEMs too to follow same strategy
Classic case of mimicking the industry 'leader' completely wrong way.
At least people won't confuse a mediorce Inspiron with far better build quality Latitude anymore.
The naming convention is still going to take time for most people to get used to.
Why not just separate the brands then include the sub brands? Yes, it’s convoluted, but this is even more convoluted.
They tried the Apple naming convention and somehow made it more confusing, how Dell of them.

wonder how soon before they drop the prices of the current xps models
Dell messed up the XPS lineup...😢
Messed up the screen brightness of all alienware laptops...😢
Dell is always messing up with things people love the most..😭.
What about the DELL AIR line ??🤣🤣
This should have way more likes haha.
Yet they still using DC port for charging and call themselves “environment friendly”, such marketing BS.
They should have called it Dell, Dell Pro, and Dell Max.
What about the G series?
Haha well said
Probably bye bye and forced people to buy Alienware instead
Dell is so out of touch. Keeping the capacitive touch function keys on the xps line? Major fail
Can't wait to buy my new "dell pro max premium plus"... said no one ever. Nothing but out of touch execs chaining meaningless words together
South Park literally had a movie in the future about every service being named some iteration of plus, pro, max etc. Really Dell?
That’s good, easy to recognize
I just want a Dell Pro Max running ChromeOS
Execs get paid millions to make things worse.
Simplify the naming by making them even confusing
they changed the logo
How to get more complicated when trying to simplify…
There was no freaking need to get rid of the Lattitude XPS and Inspiron names at all! All this does is show just how cancerous Apple's influence was once again by having these in such unoriginal labels!🤦🏾♂️

was not inspired from Apple iPhone product line
So many issues worh the bios fix that
lol confusing and logo was better with the circle on it
I scoffed a laugh after hearing Dell pro max. Like really
i dont recommend this model change. i use dell since 15 years on latitude and one time on xps thats perfect products
pro, pro max? sound like apple iphone product? dell becomes smartphone now?
Dell XPS and their keyboard sucks
Lit.
I hate it. It's like Lenovo removing ThinkPad
Hmmm...Somebody is copying Apple.
Simplify, you say? Yikes!
iDell
Dell Garbage. One Name: Applies to all tiers.
Dell Latitudes are good for business/insurance users, and Dell Precision is great for hardware engineers.
@@akin242002 If price was half then maybe yes.
@tahsin28 Check dellout during holiday sales. Look for "like new" because they are. All the retail stores return them and you get a new laptop and normal consumer prices.
bro names are ok but the thing that will actually matter is the product so lets wait and see( the products look promising and good tbh)
😂
Yuck
Cheesy. Horrible
