Opossums don't have a body temperature high enough to incubate rabies. I've had a few young ones for a while that I raised and released 😊 They are awesome
Opossums are actually really great little animals, and they don't hardly ever bite. They just show you that they do in fact, have teeth, and hope that you will be afraid of them. Meanwhile they hiss, bc screaming doesn't scare anyone. If all the teeth and the hissy face doesn't make you run away with fear, then they promptly pass out so you will assume you already killed them, bc ya know....killers just forget who they've already killed sometimes. Opossums are our friends, and they have an amazing smile. ❤
@@whatev2453 Yes! That's also very true! They're pretty clean as far as animals go, too. They're almost constantly grooming themselves, just like cats, and rats do. @@whatev2453 It’s very difficult for them to catch it. They have a much lower body temperature than most other mammals and their body is not hospitable for the rabbies virus. She’s handled her ex husband the same way
What 😳
LMAO
Doesn’t have rabies. These creatures are actually very sweet and protect us from bad bugs🤍
Not true. The truth is, MOST LIKELY It Will not have rabies due to lower body temperature, but its still a mammal so It can have It
They can & do get rabies, just not as often as other mammals, and they don’t actually eat ticks in any significant amount
Sweet ? Try and pet one sometime.
They rarely have rabies,BUT they do carry all sorts of bacterial diseases

All my jokes about her went away when they said she was from Alaska. She's a professional.
Alaska us freaking sick. Its Northern Texas. How could you even make a joke about it? "Ha ha, you Alaskans are so tough even your women have balls!"
I'm glad she put him down nicely and didn't toss the scared lil guy
Opossum said: "HEY, I'll tell YOU when I've had enough! You can't cut me off!"
😂
Possum: "HEY HEY, I WAS GONNA PAY FOR MY DRINK!"

Not today buddy 🤣🤣🤣🤣
LoL
That's funny af
Lady: OK buddy, you've had enough to drink tonight. Come back when you're sober.
I used to feed baby racoons and opossums in my back yard. They're really friendly. Pretty skittish. Very peaceful animals. Its amazing how tiny they can be as babies. Like you can literally fit them in the palm of your hand.
The guy going "woooooaaahhwooahwoah" I pictured it coming from the opossum as he was being lifted into the air 😂
Lmaoo that's funny af

Alaskan woman’s thoughts: “OMG, these pansies are afraid of a tiny possum. They wouldn’t last one day in Alaska!”
Right lol that's how I feel being a woodland person seeing this
My 3yo daughter likes to chase the possums when they come around 😅.... they're pretty harmless.
Yeah! 👍
They would a heart attack if they had to deal with moose or bear 🤣
Right, but those suckers have sharp teeth, and no telling what diseases they carry!
I love outdoors. Fishing, hiking, camping, and backpacking for days. I don't know about Alaska tho! Y'all have a different level of "outdoors" over there! Lol..respect!

“Can’t a guy enjoy his drink in peace these days without being manhandled. Sheesh!”

Alaskan: I’ve also done this with a bear, cougar and wolf.
If you came from here, you'd be disappointed by how cowardly most Alaskans can be. And the ones that aren't are on something strong in North Pole lol.

Possums are our friends! They eat ticks, can’t get rabies, and they’re a very important part of our ecosystem. So happy this badass decided to safely get him outside 🥰
*O*Possums CAN get rabies but it is rare.
I agree! I love opossums so much.
Opossums don't have a body temperature high enough to incubate rabies. I've had a few young ones for a while that I raised and released 😊
They are awesome
They are opossums and no they aren't farmers friends.

They eat ticks which is gross to think about if you're a human, but that means that if you keep opossums around you will have less ticks to bite you. 😉
And you had to interject
@@Happiness1876 You're supposed to be bliss, stop crying about everything.
@@skittles3310 😂👏
@@whatev2453 It’s very difficult for them to catch it. They have a much lower body temperature than most other mammals and their body is not hospitable for the rabbies virus. I’ve caught quite a few and would carry them around like a puppy and scratch behind their ears. I’ve never had one bite or attempt to bite. I also don’t recommend on just anyone handling them. I’ve handled many different wildlife including raccoons, venomous snakes, all sorts of birds, and while not handled them, I’ve chased off nuisance black bears.
