I don't know if it's just that it's the first Splinter Cell game I played, but if they had gotten Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell: Conviction to do Sam's VO here in Blacklist, I think it'd be really something else. Dude had a very intimidating, and imposing deep voice. Although I do understand that they were going for a more grounded, more "operative" and less "boogeyman" type Sam for Blacklist I think.
They couldn't. He had cancer during production and wanted it private. He couldn't do the role, so Ubi made up a stupid excuse to let it stay private. he only revealed his battle with cancer in 2018.
I remember playing Chaos Theory on the PS2.. It was so mindblowing how stealthy it was for me Seeing how you blend in with the shadows in Blacklist captures that same level of "wow" that I felt in CT as a kid I wanna play this on Steam Deck OLED so badly, but I don't buy Ubisoft games. I refuse to make accounts, download launchers, or buy non-exclusives on some random console
I still can't believe the animations of Sam in this game. The physics of his slung weapons, the way his gait changes with proximity to enemies and speed. I haven't seen quality like this since.
@@fisherShadow ill give it to the voice cast too they did a stellar job. Michael Ironside is my Sam, but this guy did a great job of keeping the character on point while making it a bit his own.

I myself completed this entire game including side missions (Charlie, Grim, Kobin- - not Briggs because the game was dead until then), with the loudest ops suit without killing anyone or being detected in perfectionist, which then i realised how tough the game actually was. You should try doing the same but with the loudest suit and no killing no detection and no knocking out. Be the Sam Fisher, the Man who was never there!
Yeah i like that kind of playstyle and it's one of my favorite stealth approaches when i want to challenge myself, but the reason that I didn't post videos like that is i think it's gonna be boring for others to watch because it need too much time and sometimes longer routes to do missions. Awesome video man! also, I keep having an endgame bug where I hear the voices talk, but my screen is just stuck on a loading screen. Did you run into this issue at all on PC?
@@fisherShadowWhat, so the player can't see Sam without the silly red light, really, that's your explanation 😂. I never mentioned the goggle lights, the light on his neck/back is so incredibly stupid it just totally undermines the stealth because no alert guard would ever notice a moving red light, blinking on & off in a darkened room. What next, turning on the room lights so the player can see where Sam is 💡 👀
No it's not my explanation. It's the game mechanic, the light on his back will only turn on when sam is in the shadow to let the player know where sam is and if the light is on it means the enemy cant see him. This was the blacklist mechanic, but in splinter cell conviction when you were in shadows the screen changed to black and white to let the player know that sam is in shadows and invisible to enemies.
