don't get me wrong Hitman is a great game overall. I've been playing it since my childhood and even completed the entire "Silent Assassin" series, lately I haven't played much of it. Started Hitman 3 but then stopped midway because while it is fun solving all the missions, it could get very tedious in coming up with a proper plan. This game is not for the weak minded and certain missions could drag for good few hours 😅

As the story goes on he finds out the people who he works for may be the bad guys so he kinda goes rogue along with two other people (won’t say who cause spoilers) and even helps one be put in a position of absolute power. Every mission has a reason of why you’re there and it ties in to the story. If you don’t like playing them I suggest looking at a cutscenes/gameplay full walkthrough on here. It’s very good.
I haven't played all of them but I believe that the older games were a lot stronger story wise. And if I remember correctly the 2012 "Hitman: Absolution" used a slightly different formula to other Hitman games and might be more what you are referring to, but it had mixed reactions.
I have just accepted that I will never be able to play any game of this series. This is too much Adrenaline for me. I can't handle it. I'm the kind of guy who plays Spider-Man in stealth for few minutes and then go crazy punching out of nowhere. And yes I copied Adrenaline's spelling from google.
