Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection footage, captured directly from my Nintendo Switch. DashAtk * in the default chip slot, this early in the game, is so silly.
@@beanut7759 that is nothing compared to the Super Elemental Sonic Boom that does over 1200 if you have x4 of a single element through weakness and terrain and not to mention how easy the imput is
I know very little about how broken these games get, but I played with a pretty clean style in BN1... Then I played BN2 and kinda just ended up with a full gater cheese deck, my god. I wouldn;t be surprised if this isn't even the peak, I'm gonna have a lot of fun when I finish the series and go back through the whole thing to 100% after. I really enjoy when games give you busted stuff while using other kinds of builds is still totally viable. Sometimes I feel like pulling off some amazing execution to destroy a boss, other times I enjoy just using my knowledge of what's good and how well it applies. This is especially true with the padding or even grinding aspect if you're up for it, making that efficient is just so satisfying, and often still feels pretty engaging.
@@xseriesfanatic2613 true, but you do have to be aware of the code RNG when S ranking the Fishy’s since you could get a “G” code from their chip instead of a “*”(which is fine since G is also good code in this game).
Early game: >Get 3 or more of the * codes for this bad boy >Proceeds to ram through most of game until I grind up Zenny to buy better chips There's a reason Dash is so good for the first 3 games. Lol
It's also just so iconic, one of the first enemies and attacks I think of. There is really something to be said about how simple and focused MMBN1 kept it, I'm in the minority but I think it'll always be my overal favorite in an amazing series.
So excited to see Battle Network content from you!! I've absolutely loved everything else you've done so this is exciting! I'm playing through the legacy collection now and I'm sure before I'm through all the games I'll have learned a lot from your videos
* codes are super busted in this game more than any other, there are decent cards in the early, late, and postgame. I want to build a folder with X and * codes alone just for giggles and I'm certain it will work wonders.
Im about halfway thru MMBN1!! Adulting is slowing my progress lol but im so happy to be playing again, and glad ur getting into it too Magnus! Btw has anyone used the Bass chip given to via download? It says one time use, and im scared to use it :/
by one-time-use it just means you can only get 1 free copy of it in your playthrough. You can put it in your folder and use it however many times it shows up though, just like any other chip. And it's actually quite broken, especially early on. it's an almost guaranteed 200 damage to everything
It's fun, very fast-paced, and one of the only GBA games to ever warrant an esports scene. You use a chip deck full of attacks and area control moves to maneuver and defeat your opponent. Also has really good story and post-game single-player content. Is that a good place to start?
I tell ya, if I'm ever an expert on a series it is Battle Network. I've once 100%ed 3 and 5 back to back. I just love this series! Surprised to see you playing it. I'm betting you play BN5 Team Proto over the other version because of how similar Protoman is to Zero?
Based and dashpilled, the fact that you can get it in the * code from the enemy makes it a carry for like 2/3 of the base game
I'm more into shockwave battle chips.
Dash Attack is so busted in BN2. Meanwhile, Variable Sword in BN3 is so overtuned that both of its associated Program Advances are DOWNGRADES!
Yeah, the triple sonic boom is a bloody STEAL.
@@beanut7759 that is nothing compared to the Super Elemental Sonic Boom that does over 1200 if you have x4 of a single element through weakness and terrain and not to mention how easy the imput is
Wonder how broken the Sonic Boom mega chip in Phantom of the Network is

I wasn’t expecting to see battle network content on this channel. I figure it’s not the main thing but I do hope to see more every now and again
I've brought it up a few times after the collection was announced last year that I was going to do stuff with it.
@@MagnusZero it's totally okay to enjoy what you like and show it to us i did play those MMBNW and MMZ very nice games
@@MagnusZero I guess I forgot my bad. Either way looking forward to seeing more
Holy shit it's mettaur! I better shoot him!
@@NetBattler (hides under Hard hat)
I tried doing this to the line of Spooky2s in the coffee machine in spite of having Buster Max Mode turned on.
They all _immediately_ dodged
I can’t remember and I think need to test it, but you could pull it off with using Invis before Dash.
Man, you have no idea how happy I am to see you play the Megaman Battle Network games. ^^
Damn Dashatk * this early in the game is pretty wild.
Is actually not to hard is like the first thing u can grind for at the very start of the lv

LAAADS HE DID IT!! A MMBN VIDEO!!!!
Taking a step forward before using Gutsman. Truly a civilized man.

Wait until you start using air hockey in BN4...
I can't wait
I've never played anything past MMBN 1 but I remember loving Dash Attack in that game
It's also just so iconic, one of the first enemies and attacks I think of. There is really something to be said about how simple and focused MMBN1 kept it, I'm in the minority but I think it'll always be my overal favorite in an amazing series.
And so it begins
It helps that the B and G folder are probably two of the best choices in the game.
I see you’re a net operator of culture too.
I grinded a bunch of A and B and G codes for my current playthrough of BN1.
Also the Fishy virus is cute
The g folder in general could manhandle the whole game sweatless.
Its funny how an easy to get Chip can actually be very good if used wisely

Dash attack on a perfectly lined row of enemies is so satisfying.
Never underestimate a Dash Attack
Wow! They buffed the attack from BN1! That’s great!
(Also OOOH! Video from the BNLC??)
Yep!
And we never saw it again after battle network 3
dash atk is so fun.
I once remember I never used this chip because of its speed being slow

That's just the beginning of the awesomeness of DashAtk ;)
The dude on thumbnail looks like Virizion from pokemon 😂
So, it starts...
I love DashAtk2
This is the correct video.
KILL!
* ding *
*cheer*
True to the hobby🎉
you'll learn to hate it over time, don't worry we all have been there
Sooooooooo satisfying lolz
Some chips were just so fun to use. I liked the higher level Met pick axe
Ahh, Dashterisks
DashAtk is amazing when Star code, it also easier to do GutShot Progadvance
Magnus, you are a braver man than I.... I hardly even touch it for fear of getting screwed over XD
Magnus Battle Network! Hype!
Dash attack was so good to use!
Hooray, more BN content coming!
Congratulati
Holy shit the nostalgia
Revisiting BN2 myself and dash attack pretty much carried me until the midpoint when I had access to better stuff.
congratulati
It's a little weaker for starforce 3, because the movement is a little bit slower and more grounds to cover, as well as less damage.
Wait until he finds out about Condor
Battle Network 4 All Bosses Z Saver only run when
Wait they increased dash's lower from BN1?
I got stuff to look forward to when I'm done BN1 in the next couple days
Im about halfway thru MMBN1!! Adulting is slowing my progress lol but im so happy to be playing again, and glad ur getting into it too Magnus!

use it on a mettaur to assert dominance.

Same
wasnt dash atk like THE early game chip for like all the "classic" BN(1-3) lol. I kinda miss them in the later games besides 6 lol(6 is just broken)
5 Gutsmans already busted in bn1
Are we getting no dmg battle network runs?
Me who's only played main series mega man and knows next to nothing about battle network:
Edit: guess who has mmbn legacy collection!!!

0:21 which battle network game is that?
Any recommendations for the easiest place to farm this chip? I haven't been able to find it yet.
👍
Really not a fan of this new font. Is it changeable?
BN3 condor strats wen?
Ooh, will you become a competitive BN6 player?
We'll see, lol

I could have sworn it only had 50 attack? Or was it in a different game?
BN1 had the weaker DashAtk
