The lady who shot the GoCompare man is Sue Barker, former British tennis player. She won at Roland Garros once, and in recent years she presented a show called A Question of Sport until she was ousted and replaced by Paddy McGuinness.
I think she left, rather than was ousted. I’m going to have to watch a couple more episodes to judge “new” QOS but having Daniel Ricciardo and James Toseland on the picture board is all good by me.
Leaving kids outside stores used to be a thing. Nobody thought anything of it. My girlfriends dad was left outside a store by his mum when he was a baby but she forgot and went home. Only after being at home for a while she realised and went back for him. He was still there. Some people will say those were safer times but I still think that's bad parenting
I love that someone has written “Not the bees” on one of the fence posts in the Wicker Man queue.
I love every advert that has a child in it he's thinking "will this child get run over or smacked in the face by one of his parents"
If I had just arrived back at Heathrow at 7am after a 9-hour overnight flight, the last thing I would want to see is a flashmob in arrivals...
Fair enough. I feel trippy enough as is XD But during a normal day, NOT jet-lagged, I think it'd be quite cool.
Scottish Porridge Oats Adverts with Rory McCann. There’s three of them and they always make me giggle lol. Game of Throne fans it’s a must watch
Churchill the dog was voiced by Bob Mortimer.
Id like to see you do a UK game show tier list (thanks for reading out my comment on the other video btw).
2019- end of commercial reactions he said, no more commercials he said
To be fair I held true on that for 2 years.
@@taffe316 which one of these videos had the silent night christmas lights one
When a flashmob starts I just want to shout This is a robbery everyone on the floor! Then walk away lighting a cigarette in the dead silence.
Fun fact the guy in the Kevin bacon shaving WiFi ad is Tom Ellis most famous for his roles in Miranda and lucifer
Me on UA-cam: skips ads as soon as I'm allowed.
Also me on UA-cam: 32 minutes into an hour long video of ads
But the nostalgia!
There's a difference, we CHOOSE to watch these ads, because nostalgia, we don't want the whole fake-gameplay-for-mobile-games/Fortnight/other battle royale/other rubbish they advertise that we give -0000.9 care for XD
The guy in that first Tango advert (I'm still watching so not sure how many you saw) was in Game On - Neil Stuke. He's not in the episode/season you watched but took over from Ben Chaplin for the following seasons.
You really should try a compilation of old school UK public information films sometime- you'll see kids getting fried in substations, drivers' heads going through windscreens due to not wearing a seatbelt, maybe coverage of an actual rabies patient if you're lucky. These were horror stories in the 70's and 80's.
British PIFs > American PSAs
I recommend Drive Carefully Darling.
The Scottish guy in the Goldfish commercial is Billy Connolly, a very famous comedian from Glasgow. He was kind of the Frankie Boyle of his day (though even he never got quite that crass). Maybe you could do a reaction to him at some point?
I thought it was him, thanks for confirming!
Friday night, cold beer and a Taffe316 commercials video. Life is good.
At the time of the digital switch over in 2012 I lived in a small Welsh village and the council were digging up the pavement opposite. NTL done a deal with the council to put in their cable so they could offer their NTL Cable to the public before the switch over date. When it was done NTL were told they had to wait for the switch over like everyone else. So there is an NTL cable there which no one uses.
I used to LOVE that Honda choir advert
Couldn't tell which were the reaction ads or normal ads until the skip ads kicked in......confusing lol
3:29 that's Neil Stuke who played the second version of Matthew in seasons 2 and 3 of Game On (who I have just watched in the final episode of Drop the Dead Donkey).
Another great compilation, Yoshi!
As much as I enjoy the TV show reactions, I think these are my favourite videos on the channel, mainly for the banter/in-jokes between Rob, Yoshi, Noah and the regular viewers!
The Jimmy Carr 'anti-ads' were my favourite :)
By the way, to clear up a couple of points of confusion, the Boddingtons ad was parodying a well known Cornetto ad, hence the ice cream motif.
And Gangsta Granny is a popular children's book by David Walliams, which apparently did well enough to get some sort of ride/attraction at Alton Towers!
Achievement unlocked: memories
Remember up to 34 commercials
I love the 007 one
0:46 Were they The Flying Pickets on the screen?
That Icelandic ad was for a gas station called N1, and the 2 guys are actually brothers (with one of them actually competing in Eurovision but didn't win Icelandic's submission into the contest)
Been to Iceland 9 times. I think I've only seen 1 day where the you could see the sky, every other time it was cloudy. I wonder if they waited for blue skies, then filmed, or if they gave up and filmed it mostly ina studio and replaced the sky in scenes where they needed to be outside
@@04williamsl I believe they filmed it all outside, they might've just been lucky
They're no Jedward!
@@ajivins1 and thank God for that!
@@ajivins1 I could tell, I thought they sounded good even if I didn't understand what they were saying. I don't usually say that XD
that flashmob is why spree killings happen
.... Because they all do a Caeser Ending on the audience or....?
Cougar Life is down due to too many people visiting it. I call this the Taffe Effect
Like one of my Pop Noodles actually tasting good, *THIS IS UNEXPECTED!* 😱 👍🏻
3:13 And here's me eating Cadbury's Heroes while watching this reaction.
16:12 Yes, however the service was shut down only 9 months after launch in 2002. Big RIP.
It was first launched in 1998 under the name OnDigital.
Loved the blackcurrant Tango one ..... don't remember ever seeing that on TV
They even released that mix of the song that was playing - "Don't You Want Me" by Felix as a single
Wait we’ve had Del Boy and uncle Albert, oh god we’re not gonna have the smiths ad are we…..
I’m guessing no
58:30 when did we have Best Buy? 😀
It was very expensive and very short, most stores got built and dismantled without opening.
@@CryToTheAngelz Seriously? I completely missed it XD
Seeing Rutger Hauer makes me sad knowing he's no longer with us
"cool for cats" the song in the milk ads, is by a band called squeeze....
It's actually about getting a sexually transmitted disease....
Sorry, I don't know the words but I vaguely remember hearing the song as a child so I only remember the 'cool for cats' bit, is it endorsing/encouraging getting one?
@@Roadent1241 is more of morality thing, about going out a pulling birds.
@@lucywillis4535 Oh, I see, thanks.
First PC I ever had was a Compaq!😁😁
Shame they didn't include the other Rutger ads for Guinness... The other ones where they continue to torture Gio Compario should've been included too. Even Stephen Hawking made an attempt.
who was the woman who shot him?
@@ajivins1 Claire Balding, sports woman and tv presenter. Question of Sport being one of the main programmes...
How did the 'bollocks' one make it onto the telly?
yay commercials are back!
Also.. great.. I’m a seagull now!! 🙄
I'm terrible at remembering phone numbers. I know my own, my parents and safestyle...
And Hastings? XP
A Saveloy is a big red sausage.
He should know this, dad get his FROM America!
For the record to the seagull in the Hastings Direct ad Wifi is shit in Hastings/ St Leonards I can conform. To be fair the sing along advert is freaking amazing as a big music fan I would love it compard to everyone moody and treading on each others feet in an airport or train station. That was my fave ad the sing along. Yee
I bloody hate those milk ads
That scary BT ad near the end?
Yep, that's how they treat you XD And the one at the start? We're lucky if we get any of that haha. If anything we get whatever represents a clogged up toilet. Naff all speeds for 60 quid.
We've used them for a decade with no alternatives to switch to, I will continue to complain about being ripped off.
And the EE network? Hahaha. We can't even get reception in a town, how are they getting it in the mountains???
How much are these people paying for their internet and phone signal to be actually working and not just when you go to a family member's in London where loading up Google blinds you from how fast it is??
"Phew, that 36 hour journey back from Australia really took it out of me. And the turbulence on that flight meant I got hardly any sleep. I just want to curl up in a quiet corner and sleep."
🎵 THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN 🎵
"For fuck's sake Britain, why you gotta be like this?"
I love the commercials, they used to be whacky, crazy & wild but due to the world we live in the themes are heavily toned down because of sensitive audiences which may be offended which sucks especially if they're trying to get an important message across. A lot of these take me back especially late 90s early 00s but some recent ones are also good
Not just that, things try to be "clean and modern" with presentation so things just look regular and basic instead of having entertainment value to them
I agree people are too sensitive these days.
GO COMEPARE!
Lol I got commercial in commercial video brilliant.
Alright mate 👍
"Car tax cheats", almost as bad as grasses.
Who in their right mind would sprag on someone for that.
Bet you didn’t know we’re all actually trippin balls here in the uk with our acid laced milk… it’s the real reason why Cadbury’s has a ‘glass and half of joy’ in it
Boycott… Milk
So when Yoshi finishes with #18, will Rob go back to making them or someone new?
I believe I might continue making them, I'm planning on also requesting more, so I'll probs just be making them for a long while.
@@Yoshix27 of course when #18 is shown it’ll be time for the Christmas ads.
@@johnleonard9090 I am making the christmas ads though :)
@@robthemodYT including some safety ads?
@@johnleonard9090 I mean, it relies on there being a PIF released at christmas...
Toeshi sent me here
grrrrrrr
I hope you enjoy your stay!
I'm sorry but seeing Mr Blobby in the back creeps me the fuck out. Jesus.
Mr. Blobby never freaked me out.
Crappy days
"Fun" fact - Cleese is getting a documentary where he will talk to celebrities who have faced consequences for being such massive Bellends.
