WHO ARE WE?
We’re Jason and Nikki Wynn. We been living #OffTheGrid and exploring the world for 10 years.
Our first six years of #travel were an epic road trip around North America.
Now we’re on a #sailing voyage about the world. Did we have any previous sailing experience, of course not!
Neither of us is overly talented, smart, rich, lucky, or retired. But that doesn’t stop us from reaching far-flung destinations, having wild #adventures and managing everything that makes living aboard a moving vessel possible.
We’re two ordinary people that just so happen to live an extraordinary life.
And this is why we publish our lives on the world wide web. We share in hopes of inspiring you to find your adventure.

The positive side of the CoVid isolation is the incredible and beautiful deserted beaches and islands you get to see and photograph for us, and the wonderful people you have met. The time lapse of the night sky, absolutely gorgeous. A real treat for us city dwellers!

I hit backup 6 sec about a dozen times to see everything that was going on in the sky. I think I saw a few UFO's zooming across the sky and splitting into two.

@@FumariVI LOL ... it’s not envy friend, it’s admiration and respect for their hard work and dedication. I sail, I fly, I travel 180-230 days a year (pre COVID) but I have no problem respecting what others do and letting them know.

I'm 73 and I enjoy watching your travels. This one really got to me. The beautiful calm blue waters navigating the shallows, the jungle walk, the cliff scaling and the picture postcard. But the best, that truly awesome night sequence of the sky watching the stars gave me goose bumps. Thanks ever so much.
Jason - "Rule of 500." 500 divided by your lens focal length in mm in seconds, in order to have no star trails. 500/16mm = 31.25 seconds max exposure for no star trails shooting with that Sony 16-35 at widest. This is very much a rule of thumb from the analog days, and pixel peeping will be your best bet. A star smeared over a few pixels on a 6000x4000 images will still look point-like on video. Happy Astro Shooting from Philadelphia!

Unknown undergrowth, sharp projectiles, cliffs and sandals - being adventurous doesn't come easy! What a wealth in one video: from the suspense of the reefs, the climbs, raucous bird calls and wild waves - to veggie pot pie and an amazing night sky. Every shot is pure delight. THANK YOU!

When you guys eventually sail towards Australia I highly recommend you spend a few days R&R on Lord Howe Island - 'The Last Paradise'. I've been there several times and its achingly beautiful. It's been described as being like an English village set on a spectacular French Polynesian island. There are lots of fun things to do including arranging a guide to take you on the full day return walk to the top of Mt Gower. The walk itself is as exciting as the spectacular views from the top of Mt Gower. There are several excellent cafes and restaurants on the island and be sure to swim with fishes in the crystal clear shallows at Ned's Beach. Pure magic.
I love the time lapse segment. If ever you post something like that alone, it’d be wonderful. I can relax and sleep to it.

As soon as I heard you guys say.... “this looks like a trail” as you explored the uninhabited island.... I clutched my invisible pearls 😩 It makes me nervous but I love how adventurous the both of you are.
That 15-second time shot was worth they effort, Jason. SO many stars wheeling above us. How many of us (here in the UK especially) have never seen a dark-sky night like that? Precious moments.

The stars of the southern hemisphere blow me away every time! In the outback it`s like a cartoon version of the sky, they are SO bright.

Hey there. I’ve been watching and following your journey for some time now. Jason and I played on the same baseball team in 7th grade and both trumpet players in jr high band (i was better 🤣). Watching your videos are both inspiring and making me wonder what I did with my life. Lol
My wife and I have been talking a lot about getting an RV lately and start our exploration journey. Every time I watch one of your videos it pushes me closer and closer to that goal.

Upon further research, despite being uninhabited, Kenutu is a private island. Owned by the Afuha'amango family, it was given to them by the King of Tonga as a way of thanking the family for helping the King win many battles across the kingdom
Kim? Don’t you have a people to free? I say let your people go!! Just think of the hundreds of billions you could make by uniting the two Koreas again. The industry moving in, RoK people looking for roomier apartments, the book deals, the modernization for not only your people but you! You’re living in antiquated times while the rest of the world is traveling and enjoying life. Well, not so much in 2020, but we’ll get back there again very soon.

The time lapse pic was fantastic and Jason is an amazing photographer. As a sailing couple ourselves we found this episode to be very cool and intriguing. To spend time in such a remote and beautiful place where no one has been for a year is almost inconceivable to us. Had a first brisk sail from NYC to CT over the weekend. Sal and Julie
I just needed to get my head out of Covid news here in Canada and escape tonight. So, I just finished watching your entire 18 videos of your Alaska trip. I’ve seen them before, but watching the whole series together was awesome! I reliked everything I liked before. Even though I’ve been there before as well, you saw some stuff that I missed. I just wanted to say thank you for all of the filming and sharing that you’ve done over the years. You two are awesome and saved my butt, tonight especially. I’ll leave Vancouver Island at the end of the month to hopefully head east to Ontario.🤞You should totally sail up here once you are free to travel again and you’re in the neighbourhood! Thanks again!

Did you see those stars? I nearly cried. I live in the downtown business core and barely see any stars. Oh my gosh, I just want to know what it's like to see stars like that.
@KT I moved to a remote Scottish isle in 2019 where there is no air & light pollution and zero light on some nights.When I went out the very first time on a dark December night and there were no stars it felt like I had no sight!! (or what I imagine having no sight is like) pure blackness a very very strange and unusual experience!!
On clear starry nights...to see night skies like that is absolutely mind blowing🤯🤩...it's also incomprehensible as to how all that exists up there and what is it all.... really like? It's really just way beyond describing....I think my brain just couldn't really comprehend properly what I was seeing.

Whenever you mention Texas in your videos I remember the time you drove your RV to Alaska. At the Canadian border the border guard asked where you're from. You said Texas. He immediately asked if you had any guns. Thumbs up if you remember Jason's reply.

I love watching your adventures every Sunday, but sometimes you guys scare the heck out of me, I worry about one of you getting hurt while your out there in the middle of nowhere with no support or rescue capability for hundreds of miles around.
No risk no gain. What guarrantees are there anyways? I think they are practiced at being self-sufficient. They may never come back.
I was like, “there is no way to shoot a Timelapse from the boat, this should be interesting”, but then you went to shore and it looked amazing. I hope to capture a picture of the Milkyway with our future boat in it from such a beautiful location.
