Living on the west coast I never made it to cbgb's but I went to a lot of punk clubs here in Los Angeles and surrounding areas and I miss them dearly! Punk rock went through my veins and at least kxlu 88.9 FM still plays a lot of punk!
Thanks for the nice comment. The editor first heard it in the Troma movie "Terror Firmer".
Absolutely loved this. It's so important everyone knows how influential and ground-breaking CBGB's was. Without it, punk may have never happened. I'd never heard of it until it was too late and it had closed, though I saw the Ramones play when they supported U2 in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom in 1985. They were amazing! loved them ever since. THanks so much for posting this fascinating film. More please!
I was there! Oh man, I was THERE!
i love this redition of Amazing Grace "punk style" cuz smashing, groovie & out of site, dig it!

RIP Hilly. Say whattup to everyone for me.
You keep this up, it's needed, and Hily (sp?) deserves it. The story you've started has only begun to be told. You're doing good work, and thank you for doing so.
