hey joe, i have same chrono like yours.. it works like a charm.. don't put your chrono under shadows of trees, it will mess up, place it on table with undirect sunlight. fyi : if you want to use FPS instead MPS : switch on your chrono, when display said " ON" immediately push the button, and display will said "F" that mean the chrono was in FPS mode.
Just got one, it looks the same. When I turn it on it reads FPS, push the enter button and that changes it to FPS instead of MPS. It then reads SU. If you push the up button you can change the joules. The short directions I got say that you can enter bullet weight this way, but it only goes up to 100. Haven’t figured out the grains to joules conversion yet. Not sure what it will get me if I enter this info.
I just got one of the chronographs from Aliexpress for about $30, and I'm actually surprised how good it is. First thing I did was make sure the rods that hold the light bars were correctly spaced (measured the gap at the bottom and top and bent them until the same distance). What surprises me is how I can shoot a light weight 50gr .223rem at almost 1,000m/s and it detects it every time with very consistent readings. Mine won't read ft/s, I've tried all the suggestions here but nothing happens, I assume only some have that feature.
@@OutdoorsWithJoe Did it actually work for you? Mine, like yours, when turned on says "ON" then counts through and then says "SU" for a moment. If I press the button when it says "ON" nothing happens, if I press it when it says "SU" I get 1.0 displayed and it stops detecting. If I press the button again it reads 2.0, press it again and I get 3.0 and so on. If I then press and hold the button it goes down by 0.1 so if it was on 2.0 is now reads 1.9 Without instructions I don't know what any of this does, all I know is it won't read again until I turn it off and then on again.
@@OutdoorsWithJoe I just went out and put some air rifle pellets through it and I'm even more confused. I got it to display FPS but it wouldn't stop displaying this and it didn't read any speeds. When I turned it off and on again it was back in m/s. Next time when I put it in FPS I pressed and held the button and the display re-stared but it's speed readings were way off, it would display around 100 when I know it should be 280m/s or 900fps. Think I'll just leave it alone.
