Great explanation. Especially bout the lining up. For us less familiar it's very useful. Thanks

That's exactly how I do my intakes on evos. I always add a little grease to help the seals find home when torquing the bolts. Eliminates any possible pinching or uneven stress on the seals.

Great Video! Everything is very well explained. Thanks a lot for making this video. I will use this knowledge soon when I work on my newly acquired 2003 Sportster XL1200S (Sport) Anniversary Edition! Ride safe, cheers!

Good video. Always clean the seal area of the heads and put a very light layer of grease all over the seals to help them slide and settle, not only on the heads but also under flanges and manifold.

Great video.. I would lube all 3 gaskets with liquid soap or oil for a better seal. Thanks

Hey nice video Moto G, you learning a lot as you go, and the one thing most guy's & gal's do , is over look the little things that can happen even without a crashing. I've been riding bike's since 1961, that's 62 years ago, Still riding, and Still wrenching. I'd like to let you in on two little secret , when your using Allen wenches, take a box-end wench just a little bit bigger than the size Allen wrench your using slip it over the long end of the Allen wrench and use it as leverage. Or use the same size socket (6 point) with an extension for leverages. This will save your knuckles.
    Ride On Safely.

It’s a good investment if you have a rough running Harley. It’s also good preventative maintenance

Left handed drill bits work great on broken bolts

Hey the nipple on the bottom of my carb has no hose on it should that be blocked or can you tell me where that hose goes I developed a sneeze that I think is intake leak no sure I noticed your carb has a hose --working on 98 evo THANKS

The hose is for the over flow on the carb if your float hangs and the bowl over flow it will drip out of that port and into the ground the long hose is so it won’t get all over your bike. The long hose is also good for keeping dirt out of your fuel bowl as it regulates atmospheric pressure

I have literally tried to install this manifold 4 times on my 97 fatboy. I cannot get these gaskets to seal.
