Where the F#$@% do I even find it to download it to begin with? CurseForge only brings up addons to it that require it to run, but doesn't bring the actual thing...
I downloaded elvui last night & spent a couple hours trying to figure out what was where, where to look etc & got pretty frustrated as i've been using the old school original wow interface since i started 15 years ago lol. this video was soooooooooooo helpful. Thank you for saving my sanity :) The only thing i cant figure out from this is how to make it so the /ec interface is opaque instead of the current translucent style. I like the look of yours a lot better, easier on the ol' eyes :) Thanks again! edit: subbed! & you're a fellow Canadian!? sweet :D
I'm very glad to hear that I could help and thank you so much for the sub! :) ElvUI is definitely very daunting at first and it takes a while to figure out all the ins and outs of the addon. To change the opacity and/or colour of the interface, you can go to General -> Media and at the bottom in the Colors section, click on the box next to "Backdrop Faded Color". This will allow you to change the transparency of the menu with the sliding bar that appears in the pop up color wheel as well as change the color of the interface if you would like to do so. I hope this helps! Also I am a fellow Canadian from west coast BC! :D

The guide is amazing man, but how did you do your quest log? Mine looks absolutely terrible and I feel like I've tried everything. I downloaded a Quest Log replacer but it's buggy and the width is way too wide and non adjustable

Great and helpful, but I'm blessed with poor eyesight and have to have my UI large enough to see buttons, but can't seem to make the text smaller because it is HUGE and cuts off due to font size. Not in the chat box, in windows like trade skills and vendors. Where would I find this setting?
my chat wont show up and idk why. Tried reinstalling, redownloading and looking into settings. Nothing has worked, i have the chat box but anything that anyone says or posts just doesnt come up. i can /say and see my chat bubble come up but nothing in the chat box. Yes /s and /raid, /party is all enabled. Any suggestions? Oh, and this problem is only on one character. The rest are fine and everything is working.

when i try to download, in the addon menu it said dependency missing. i downloaded it through the curse client, and it is the wow addons folder. please help. The ui doesnt even show up when i load the addon in game.
Great explanation and easy to follow. I have a quick question, those text frames in combat that show the ability cooldowns on the side are hella annoying, how can you adjust or modify those ones? Hopefully, I explained myself well enough

Hey, question, how to edit look of my healthbar? i got elvui + plater settings for enemy plates but i want to adjust font and overall look of my personal healthbar as it looks terrible on default ELVUI settings but i cant find them anywhere.....
Thank you!! I’d say Adibag vs ElvUI bags is more of a personal preference thing. Adibags does have more options for sorting and customization of your bags though if you’re interested in that. I usually use either default Blizzard UI bags or ElvUI bags for my characters!
Hey, thanks for the guide, it helped alot the only thing I may need a little extra hand with is the name plates for enemies as they seem to not show up regardless of what I do! Are you able to help at all?
Clicking V toggles Enemy Nameplates on and off; Control V Toggles All Nameplates on and off, and then I believe as long as you don't have a Keybind for Shift V like I do it toggles your friendly nameplates on and off. Hope this helps

@25:42 When you are explaining how to adjust unit frames > Raid Frames. Just hit the tab that says display Frames, and then it would of gave you 20 raid frames you could of adjusted for your demonstration.
its a great guide but not for a veteran wow player and after all of you wander why you do wipes in the simple tactics of the bossfights because you cant see nothing exept your bars for me this addon is only for display and nothing else

Like I want a whole different bar to come up. Say for example I have sprint hot keyed to "q" then when I stealth I want backstab or ambush to have the "q" hot key. Please help.
Go to ActionBars -> Player Bars and choose the bar number you want (you can also use the comand /moveui and right click the bar you are looking to edit to bring it up in the menu). From there, at the bottom of the menu, click on Keybind Text and make sure it is Enabled.
For the name, you go to UnitFrames -> Individual Units -> Player -> Name and from there you can Enable showing the name and adjust the position of your name. For the health % and number, you go to UnitFrames -> Individual Units -> Player -> Health and you can adjust the position of that as well. To display both % and the number, you input "[health:percent] [health:current]" in the Text Format box (without the quotation marks). I hope this helps!

In pvp it only shows enemy hp bars as a percent - how do i change it to HP values ??

I have my shortcuts memorized but you can go to ActionBars -> Micro Bar and enable that to have those icons pop up!
