Still have tears in my eyes from the crash of the SWS Turbo Timber. Well my final thought is you get what you pay for the Draco Mini has the upper hand in Looks, 4S power, and landing gear. The UMX Turbo Timber Evolution is a great plane to be sure. It handles STOL/Bush flying well and you can add floats to it, I do not see that option for the Draco. Both planes have an advantage over the other so I will have both. Enjoyed watching.
I do also. You can do everything better with it, and not even mentioning the floats, which open another avenue of flying. But nothing like a scale model of a real airplane. I actually like to fly the Draco on 3s, for it’s scale flying, whereas I won’t consider 2s for the TT Evo! Lol
You would need to play around with them as its like expo what works for me might not work for you. So using percentages so if you move your ailerons to turn it will give th percentage you set and automatically move your rudder.
U can make that exact same smooth turn with some practice on the sticks some people get enjoyment in the hobby to fly precise without using any mixes I have always practiced coordinated turns with rudder since day one so its second nature to me and u will become a better pilot practicing those smooth turns without cheating lol
I agree. I like to fly by the seat of my pants! Although, I do have a mix for my flaps and elevator, so it doesn't balloon up, forcing me to make elevator correction. I can do it, but it looks so much better with the mix, especially in strong winds, which I like to fly in.@@weshillsberry6275
I bought the Draco, because after my TTE lost radio contact, and flew off to wherever, I thought a change-up was needed. I've been on the Turbo Timber train from the beginning. After flying the Draco, I'm going to rebuild a TTE with a new board and the left over TTparts I have. I don't regret buying the Draco. It is a beautiful plane, and sits front and center on my shelf, but the anxiety I fly with(not wanting to break any bits off) I don't have when flying TTE. Plus, the TTE seems to handle high winds better.Love them both. Just hope I don't accidentally put 4s in TTE and burn it up!Lol
I've been flying my T/T Evolution, and earlier 2s model in winds of 10-15 kt with no problems. The Draco doesn't seem to handle the wind as well. I think the winglets have something to do it, but the AS3X works overtime on my Draco. But the T/T is definitely more fun in the wind. I've flown down at the ocean (no obstacles) in 20 kt winds. Full power would barely go forward, but it was a blast! Both fun planes, but I actually think I will fly the TT more:-)
You're absolutely right! I fly my Evolution at the ocean in 15-20mph winds. A little tricky anticipating turns, but loads of fun! I do think the Evolution is a little more stable in high winds, and find it a bit easier to control. Plus, I don't want to wreak my Draco. Love both though! @@old_coastie
@bgblindt final thoughts on tte vs micro draco? Currently waiting for dracos to come Into stock, but also wanted a umx tte. I was leaning towards draco as I thought with it been heavier it would handle wind better. Is that not the case?
I think both handle wind well, Draco can do better in wind but the TTE is faster and more capable of loops and rolls if you are into that kind of flying. I personally like TTE better for this reason. The Draco is an eye catcher just like its bigger brother!@@MrHipwell1989

They both look like fun. Thanks, Mark

@@clean1566 Yea for scale flying definetly the Draco is better
What are the details of your Aileron to Rudder mix?
You would need to play around with them as its like expo what works for me might not work for you. So using percentages so if you move your ailerons to turn it will give th percentage you set and automatically move your rudder.
The Timber's replacement parts are also half the price of Draco's.
Why the "mix" over just using the sticks? Thanks.
Why not use mixes all the time. It’s fun to play around with them. On a timber makes smoother turns.

Auto vs Manual Transmissions??
I'm not a big fan of the Draco. My TTE and Turbo Timber are light, agile, fun on a budget and just amazing planes. No Draco for me.
I like the Turbo TImber Evolution better as well!

@clean1566 I've seen people on rcgroups running their tte on 4s. I haven't tried it myself, but I suspect itl be pretty fun
I will try it let you know@@MrHipwell1989
@bgblindt braver man than Me. Although I wouldn't be suprised if it's the same flight board as the one in the draco anyway
Both Great planes ,as long as the wind is 5 kn or less

I totally disagree... Both good planes... Both capable of way more than 5 knots or 7 mph... Got vids...

I fly in big winds with mine. It’s fun
the draco is to heavy
Agree

@@bgblindt thanks mate. I might wait for the draco and go 4s. Will it land on cut grass or do you need a runway? My local park is short or hard areas
If you get the Draco highly recommend the 4s! @@MrHipwell1989
