It really isn’t, so much is there source material wise. They can remix ( Hollywood) it a little but it not hard to follow the ACTUAL story. Third times the charm
Facts, been waiting ever since the 1st Anderson film. Accepted the fact I might not get mansion film. WTRC is probably the closest film we'll ever get.
Just go and play the games, why would you want to watch something that you’ve already experience? It’s not going to be the same, and then on top of that do you understand how much content is inside the first game that’s going to be cut just to make the 2 hour mark, the game is seven hours long, and that’s just the main story, “give us a great story”, Paul already did that, he was able to make an original story off the base plot, added some of the characters, and still was able to entertain the fans and the general audience.
The movie literally needs to start how the first game starts. The helicopter leaves the Jill and squad at the mansion, they get chased in by zombie dogs.
Glob the fact that it’s apparently hard to make a movie about an elite police squad getting trapped inside a mansion Trying to find a way out And all the while discovering that the company that funds them and the city is responsible for the mysterious murders going on Is very interesting
To think, there was a time when we could've had the late great George Romero - the father of the modern zombie horror genre itself - direct a Resident Evil movie. Sadly, we never got to live in that timeline.
We've seen that several times already, he needs to adapt the lore in a new story respecting the characters basics like the animated movies, no milla jovovich, no Albert Weskers daughters, etc but i heard that they are going to make RE0 though
@@ohthisishardcoreNO. All they gotta do is just follow the story of the games and it will be peak. All of the “original story” stuff they ever tried to release has been shit. Especially that netflix show.
Sony should get Takashi Yamazaki or Sam Raimi to direct the new Resident Evil Reboot. Both directors understand how to make a low budget horror movie and both can handle big monsters and make them believable and realistic on screen. Not to mention what Sam Raimi could do for practical effects on the zombies, nemesis, licker, etc would be wild
i think the monsters from RE welcome to racoon city was enjoyable but i really don't like what they did to my boy leon so pray that the next reboot will be what we really want & also hopefully it'll might be RE 4
Unfortunate how many tend to forget the many CGI Resident Evil movies. They're pretty good overall, and fell like nice sidestories/spinoffs in-between the main game storylines. Heck, i notice many forget the animated adaptations of games we had over the years and how great they were when compared to live-action ones. (Ironic considering how popular Arcane is. Even Castlevania isn't being talked about depsite still going strong)
don't give the Reboot of Resident Evil movie to Netflix because Netflix will fuck it up I would like the Studio to be like Water Bros more than Netflix I am a big fan of the Original Movies with Mila Novovich and I think that they are fun Chessy Movies Outside of 2 movies and the Reboot movie Welcome to Raccoon City I thought it was fine it could have been Better if they casted some of the Actors better
Resident Evil writes itself just adapt the first movie and cast the characters with actors that look like the characters yes same race just stay as far away from the resident evil TV show as possible
Can we please just have chris jill barry and wesker in the mansion fighting zombies hunters and giant plants spiders snakes and sharks its not that hard.
Welcome to Racoon City was decent but the cast wasn't great, and they did Leon wrong. The Milla Jovovich ones was not even video game accurate. Netflix had potential at first and then just went completely left.
I'm probably the only fan that actually liked the original 6 films and welcome to raccoon city. The netflix series was honestly the only boring adaptation
Resident Evil should be a faithfully adapted series, like Game of Thrones. 10 episodes per season, it gives more time to include everything in the lore.
Give it to Netflix, please. I trust them way more than WB. DC movies are the biggest example as to why they shouldn't be trusted with it. Terrible management and too much studio interference.
Even if this new reboot is good, we’re all going to remembered the Milla Jovovich films especially the original 2002 movie as a classic with cool laboratory setup, the best scene of the zombie dogs, Marilyn Manson music themes that worked very well for the movie and Slipknots “My Plague” song including the music video they’ve made for RE
Are they starting at the Spencer Mansion, and showing the terrifying Tyrant experiment? It would be nice start then do two and three back to back and treat us viewers as if we never played the games, what i mean by that is in the story explain through files founds videos etc.
Im just so done with people trying to make a live action RE movie i have been burnt too many times now with both movies AND tv shows, for 1 no one seems to ever understand what they are supposed to be making and 2 you can't fit a video game in a 2 hour movie it never works out and will always come out rushed with 70% of the game cut out, NO THANK YOU.

But like, I hope Netflix and Sony don't have their hands in the making of this new one, ok. Because that Netflix show, I'd rather have what happened to Billy at the end of Punisher Season 1 happen to me than watch that again. I hated it. And the Milla Jovovich movies, they suck and can admittedly be fun at times, but they aren't RE. Like, I'm ok with adaptations changing some stuff, because otherwise, why adapt it? But RE is the poster child of in name only. Like, Halo Seasons 1 and 2, which changed a fair amount, it still felt like Halo for the most part (I've also played all the Halo games and loved them) and I love the Halo TV show they did. But RE, you'd think its honestly one of the easiest games you can adapt to make work as a movie, but apparently not. I'm going into this new movie with the lowest of expectations, like, thats how badly I feel they've done it with RE.
The only part where "Welcome to Racoon City" got right ish was the shootout in the dark scene with Chris Redfield. That's the only good part in the whole movie. Look how they massacred my boi (Leon S Kennedy);
It was the closest to the games, yes, but it was not “dope”. They got the characters wrong and tried to adapt two games at once instead of focusing on one. It had potential, but they fucked it up.
