They are AMAZING live! A few years ago, my hubby worked at their concert in the local crew and he was asked to Tune ZZ Tops guitars as their guitar tuner had broke and my hubby was the only one in the crew who could tune a guitar by ear. ZZ Top thanked him and he got to hang out with them after the show....they also signed my hubby's guitar for him. One of the highlights on his life so far.
Oh yeah ZZ live. Thats something to revere
Wow, that's an awesome story. I had always heard and read that Billy, Dusty and Frank were very down to Earth.
What an amazing experience! Thank you for sharing. ❤️
aw man, i can imagine how incredible that must've been. bet he "beat life", as we say around here.
i'd be happy only being at a concert of theirs.
The entire band seems like they’re super chill and laid back.
I saw them way back in the day and could not believe such a solid wall of sound came from just 3 guys! They burst onto the radio with a sound no one I knew had ever heard. Love them (RIP Dusty).
Have seen them half a dozen times in arenas and small venues... I caught their Last show in Louisville.. Dusty was jamming hard, but because of his hip.. he spent a lot of the show leaning against the amps.
Waiting for the bus and Jesus just left Chicago back to back that's the best ZZTOP.
So many good songs of theirs: Tush, Tube Snake Boogie, Cheap Sunglasses, Legs, Waiting for the bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago, La Grange. They are amazing live.
I love the driving beat of this song , its simplicity but still scores a 10/10 RIP Dusty
My favorite thing about ZZ Top is that everyone in the band has a long ass beard except the drummer... who's name is Frank Beard
My favorite band of all time! Saw them in concert 3 times. The first time was in 83, still got my ZZ key chain!
Love me some 80s ZZ Top. Their trilogy of 80s infused albums are great
There were some sorta purist old school fans who tended to underrate this era, but that guitar work alone is outstanding...Fantastic tone in the production...
The BEST little band from Texas. Period....
Forgot year of this song, but their First album was in 1971.
Best "little" band from Texas. They have been rocking since the 70s
My favorite ZZ Top song is "Jesus Just Left Chicago. Looking forward to hearing more from that Little Ole Band from Texas.
So fun to revisit ZZ Top they definitely had their place in 80s pop culture! Yea as a teen who grew up in the 80s it WAS scandalous 🤣
I always like Cheap Sunglasses!
That "Little Ole' Band" From Texas.
🎸🎹🇨🇱🕶️🎸🎹🇨🇱🕶️🎸🎹🇨🇱🕶️
Legs and Sharp-Dressed Man by ZZ has the same girls and car and are fun videos. One of my favorites from them is My Head's in Mississippi.
These videos are fun. There are 3 videos that kind of loosely go together in a story. This one, Sharp Dressed Man and Legs. They can be seen separately. But they’re best seen in that order. Other fun videos are Velcro Fly, TV Dinners, Sleeping Bag, and My Head’s In Mississippi. But my all-tine favorite songs are Waiting For The Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago. It’s two songs in one.
Thats not just any car. Thats The Eliminator. They had an album also called Eliminator at the same time. That car was legendary within car circles when the album was at its peak. It was built by Billy Gibbons, who was a major car guy, he also built a monster called Cadzilla. The Eliminator now sits in the rock and roll hall of fame in cleveland
I have that keychain!! I've seen them at least 10 times and loved every moment..they can get a crowd going like no other band but we are in Texas!!!
Just the little ol' band from Texas!! They have a timeless appeal - if you hear 'em, you like 'em!!
Yes!!! ZZ Top, classic! 🤘🤘🤘
ZZ Top known as the Texas trio. Don't forget the legend on drums.
The car, the girls and yes THAT Gibson's Gibson's guitar. You can not get more iconic 80's than Z.Z. Top!
Tush is my favorite ZZ Top song! My ex husband and I “danced” to it in his parent’s kitchen late one night.
I call this Texas Southern Rock and Blues.
It's said somewhere that jimi hendrix said that Billy Gibbons was the best guitar player ever. Or something to that affect.
I always liked the older zz top songs better than the 80s stuff they did. It was a lot more blues based
Everything up through Eliminator is fire.
Rough Boy is a pretty great song by the boys.
Loved your reactions. Brings back memories I can’t pick one …every time I listen to one of their songs…I think that’s my favorite then I listen to another and decide it’s my favorite…you get the picture. So enjoy watching your channel. Thank you
Welcome to Texas Boogie!! ZZ Top has so many great songs. Deep rabbit hole!! Jimi Hendrix's favorite guitar player was Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. You have to react to: LaGrange and Tush. Both are classic rock radio staples.
Love ZZ Top!!!! One of my favorite songs by them!! 👏😊
Just Got Paid, Brown Sugar, Arrested While Driving Blind, She Don't Love Me She Loves My Automobile, Fool For Your Stockings. So many more. ZZ Top is great.
My friend the best way to experience ZZ top is from the beginning. Its a deep rabbit hole but worth the jump. There is so much that its hard to suggest just a few songs. these guys are Legends.
This is a 3 person band with a big band sound. Amazing musicians and at the time we're kinda in a zone of their own.
Great band! Two members had beards & one's last name was beard (the drummer's name is Frank Beard)!
ZZ Top brought the blues to the house party.
Brilliant song, and outrageous music vid. Really helped MTV culture. What boy doesn't like girlz, cars, and guitar.
That’s the OOOG!
Can’t argue with ZZTop
the 3 best things in a ZZ top video, the car, the women, and the music
Yeah the car is very cool it's just as iconic as they are! Anybody that knows ZZ Top instantly recognizes that car is theirs
I had to have the ZZ top keychain as a teen in the 80s and I got one. Yes!
"Rough boy" is one you gonna love. 💘
Always did love ZZ Top and still do, amazing group!
The both of you would have loved ZZTop in person! They put on a great show
Every Girl’s Crazy Bout A Sharp Dressed Man.
It was popular when I was in the navy. The Marines on our base had their own rendition of the song, including their own moves. It was a riot at the EM club. We requested the song from the DJ every weekend.
Merry Christmas to all our service members, and a toast to the Marines of NAVSTA Annapolis of 84 and 85. 😉😘
Great band, big influence on Pantera! i always liked 'Double back' from Back The Future 3 and they pop up in the movie as well which is really cool fun :) thanks for another great video and cheers from Melbourne!!!
Not one of their hits but my fave ( & one of reasons I picked up the Bass guitar) "THUG"! Then "Waiting' for the bus/Jesus just left Chicago" + many many more great songs!
That red car is a very famous Hot Rod known as ELIMINATOR was ZZ Tops pride and joy and is credited for a rebirth of sorts of the Hot Rod industry in the early 80s. This Rod influenced alot of builds since its debut.
That little ol' band from Texas - RIP Dusty.....
ZZ Top's video "Legs" is my favorite
"Sleeping Bag" by ZZ Top a must to react to.
You should check out waiting for the bus and Jesus Just Left Chicago by them do them both at once because it just transitions right into the other song.
ZZ Top. That amazing throbbing grind of guitar.
the car was called Eliminator a 1933 Ford on a chevy chassis...
My Head's In Mississippi is probably my favorite.
love your videos, hello from switzerland!! KROKUS 4 EVER!
I remember hearing ZZ Top for the first time in the early 70’s. I like that you let it play without interrupting and that gets you another subscriber! So many great groups from that era.
They are from Texas and they have been making music for 50 years I love all of their music and have been lucky enough to see them live twice but as you just said their longtime bassist Dusty Hill just passed away RIP Dusty
Another fun reaction! One thing I love about every ZZ Top tune are the guitar solos.
You both are too are funny 😂…”picking guys up at the gas station “ 🤣🤣
I’ve loves ZZ Top most all my live. Growing up in northern Europe in Finland they where my favorites. They also taught me the blues. Coming to the US in 1991 the first thing I did was go to a BB King gig, man, heaven alive on a guitar. For more ZZ Top, try Hot, Blue and Righteous, it’s sweet. Or the double Waiting for the Bus, that glides over into the insurmountable Jesus Just Left Chicago. Have mercy! 💙
Sharped Dress Man is a great one also ! And Legs ! Or I’m Bad I’m Nationwide!
My first concert. This tour. Amazing 3guys
You can hear the major blues influence in ZZ-Top's music. The great heyday when MTV was actually good.
My wife and I saw them live at the Houston Rodeo many years ago, amazing
That little old band from Texas. You gotta love 'em.
Many many years ago my buddy said...ya ever hear ZZ Top? I almost crapped my pants. Ran out and bought the Album.
ZZ Top... that little ole band from Texas.
Rest in peace Dusty Hill, thanks for the music.
i saw them live back in the 2000s. they put on a great show.
The car is called "The Eliminator"...it's a circa -33 Ford, cut-back and hot-rodded and the personal car of Billy Gibbons, the main guitarist in this band who was once called "the greatest guitarist on earth" by no less than Eric Clapton.
keep this channel goin'! good to see you both!
One of my favorite groups. Love these guys.
"Rough Boy" was always my favourite ZZ Top track.
Just think all of us watching this on MTV back in the 80's who where teenagers are now today in our 50s
ZZ Top have played the same Blues based rock forever, they did these videos in the 80’s, when MTV was good. They did a series of videos with the three hot girls in them. A lot of ZZ Top songs are very double entendre like, some songs like that are Tush, Legs and Pearl Necklace to name a few.
The next video you have to watch from ZZ Top is Sharp Dressed Man, it’s got the same kid in it and of course the three hot women, lol.
Stay Cool 😎 and…
\m/ Stay Metal \m/
Legendary Band
They also had a cameo in Back To The Future 3. I like their song Sharp Dressed Man also.
'Sharp Dressed Man'. Nuf said... :)
‚Tush‘, ‚La grange‘ & ‚Sharp dress man‘ (maybe the live show with Carmen Electra 🤓) I can recommend as well :) 👌🏼
one of ZZ TOP's songs that is very underrated is TV DINNERS.
Frank Beard, the drummer, is the guy without the beard. Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill first grew the beards in the 1970s when Frank spent two or three years getting clean and sober through rehab.
Yes. The 70's and 80's were rocking. No fraidy cats back then. People were bold and unashamed.
I've seen this video many times but I've never thought to look up who the young gas station mechanic was. His name is Peter Tramm. He was a dancer and actor in the 80s. I guess his greatest claim to fame was he was Kevin Bacon's main dance double in the movie Footloose (for the next time you find yourselves playing 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon) Peter died of AIDS in 1991.
R.I.P. Dusty. Was gonna see 'em at Wlld Adventures. Sad we lost such a cool guy.
I still love that the only one without a beard is named Beard!
back in 1986, when I was stationed in West Germany, this was one of the top 3 most played songs on the Enlisted club's jukebox.
Boyd Cuddington hot rod for the Eliminator album, and 3 loud playin dudes. Billy was out there - RIP Dusty.
..."Class of 76"...What great sound from a three piece group...a little info...ZZ's and Top's were the 2 most desired rolling papers in the day...hence, ZZ Top!
These were really brilliant videos and very iconic at the time.
I was luckily enuf to see them three times they were the best Texas Rock
We had LOTS of fun in the 80's....yes we did!
That hot rod is the ZZ Machine! An icon in their videos!...along with the ZZ Key ring!
i saw zz top 3 times live...from '73 on....we listened to the music and didn't need a video with it to make it good....they were phenomenal in person... like most other rock shows at that time. we were very interested in the instrumentation and how to do it...
The Eliminator, coolest car in Rock and Roll...
You can't go wrong with some Texas blues rock boogie!
As a 14 year old back the , ZZ had it all: guitars, cars, and ladies.
Gotta do Heard It On The X!
Fun fact: The only member without a beard is the drummer who is named Frank Beard.
TEXAS BLUES ROCK🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🔥🔥🔥🔥
That little ol' band from Texas.
Loved the 80's
One of the great driving songs. You just can not turn that up on the radio when you're driving.
Great reaction guys. The "cool car" is a 1933 Ford Opera coupe. I own one just like it except mine is black.
Every once in awhile I see Billy in that car. The Eliminator on the Houston freeways
