It was inplied that Enma was changed and reforged later so that one is valid also we are told that whitebeard could not use haki as well since his sickness
Sabo's amnesia makes more sense in the original Japanese. He almost definitely knew of Ace and probably new of Luffy, but didnt remember his relationship to them. The reason he suddenly remembered wasn't just from seeing Ace, but from seeing Ace and Luffy, as well as the term sakazuki. Not only is Akainu's real name Sakazuki, the practice of sharing sake cups to swear a bond is called sakazuki in Japanese.
@@williamrodriguez7065 his use of kuso doesn't always translate well into English. A literal translation of Sanji's dialog would get really awkward in English, which is why this quirk rarely makes it out of the East Blue. The Funimation dub just has him swear a lot more than the other characters, but that downplays it too much lol
Something funny about the first inconsistency is that even Whitebeard said to Shanks: “ What could you possibly have faced in the east blue that cost you your hand?
There's a myth in china about a carp turning to a dragon by climbing a waterfall and leaping towards the dragongate or something. Thats referenced in pokemon too, gyrados from magikarp. He can swim probably but just as weak as a real fish
@@tebenlukecurig5201that reference has already been used a bunch of times. Reverse mountain is literally that, lil fishes becoming pirates. And wano’s waterfall carps are really on the nose
Also, to the point, haki and power levels are useless if the character is caught of guard, and there are other examples of powerful people. Case in point, Whitebeard himself got stabbed by Squarm, someone that couldn't hold a candle to him. It's how I always took Shanks losing his arm. He was just so tunnel vision desperate to save Luffy that he didn't see it coming.
@@jpcsdutra shanks did it on purpose, he wanted to show that these dumb action of luffy have consequences and to show ruffy what can happen he ripped his arm off so ruffy really dont forget this moment and in the anime we saw that ruffy wanted to rip his feets of for his crew so ruffy is doing the same as shanks and he learned
For point 6, I think it totally makes sense that technology isn't the same everywhere in the One piece world. It's literally the same as in real life, there are developed countries and countries still developing: i doubt Tokyo, Japan has the same level of technology as a random countryside village in Marocco for example (taking this as example because i've seen both).
Like... He says there was no Haki but hints in pre timeskip. He forgot Garp's love punch. Shanks and Whitebeard clash+ when shanks triggered his Haki and every weak ones collapsed. It was shown in like every arc but was just never termed haki Tbh, this was the most amateur-ish video I've ever seen by ohara
@@shuayebahmedafif5965Exactly. To be honest I didn't like Ohara's this video. Like he contradicted himself so much and so many times. Just goes to show how well written One Piece is lol
I think you're vastly misunderstanding Kaido's character. He wants to die an epic death. Even if he jumped into the ocean, he wouldn't die because of fish-fish dragon fruit. Kaido is heavily depressed. Look at episode 1033 of the anime. One of the best episodes for Kaido's character alongside 1026. Also, for your Devil Fruit to awaken, your will has to align with your Devil Fruit's. Which doesn't seem to be the case for Kaido, but I agree, Oda could be more clear. Also, WB was sick in Marineford. We even see him try use Conqueror's Haki but then start coughing. That's why he didn't.
For awakening in Zoan fruit they should die or near to that like Luffy, Lucci, kako , they all have died and after that we saw them alive, ( except Yamato , maybe in childhood he was near to death) when they dead they can reborn withe the live of the animal or creature in the fruit that they have powered by that
I think that Kaido can't kill himself by drowning because his fruit is not a dragon fruit but the "blue dragon" version of the fish fruit. That might allow him to breathe underwater despite not being a fishman.
9:05 Wouldn't be impossible for Kaido to breathe underwater since he ate the fish-fish fruit. But also, I think Kaido wanted to die in a magnificent way, like Whitebeard. Drowning would be lame I think in his eyes.
i think kaido wanted to die so he could reincarnate as joy boy. If he drowned in the ocean then his reincarnation would also drown. Thats why he always tried it on land
Oh god, of course! And because Zoan fruits have their own will there is a real chance that Kaido unintentionally takes on a form that can breath in water simply because it's the fruit's will.
@@bhuvaneshs.k638 I really think it's about how he dies. He puts a big emphasis on one's death being glorious. Falling from a sky island is a much bigger deal. Plus even if he can breathe underwater he'd still starve to death eventually so no reason not to jump in if he just wants to die
Chopper being labeled as a pet: Makes complete sense inside the story. They don't want bounty hunters to bring a random reindeer, and waste their time. Or as people often mistake Chopper, random Racoondogs. So they keep Chopper's bounty low, so that a Bounty Hunter is only likely to collect, if they were to bring in the Strawhat crew. I seriously do wish Oda would do more with bounties.
Hunters have appeared in a lot of stories but it makes sense if someone was strong enough to bring in those huge bounties they would most likely have either joined the marines or became pirates themselves. So most hunters are weak.
Yeah even Bepo has a low bounty for this reason, but it doesn't really explain what happened in Sabaody. There's also possibilities like what happened with Sanji- Duval and people, bounty hunters and even marines in Sabaody assuming the fake strawhats were real in the timeskip while their faces have been on the posters.
@@SarvaNartanki To be fair, the strawhats disappeared for two years, some people would expect physical changes to occur. As a result, so long as key features are noticeable, it wouldn't take much to convince people of a lie.
My take on Luffy not being killed by the world government while he is still weak and young is that they are not expecting for him to awaken the devil fruit and there are many users of it after Joyboy from the past 800 years that didnt manage to unleash it's full potential
Mr 3.'s case has been explained by Oda already. He was over a wooden panel which is really really floaty. Kaido has a fish devil fruit, allowing him to breathe underwater.
@@brandonbwanakocha9450 It wasn’t just a random plot hole tho. The really floaty wood was again used before Fishman Island arc when the crew was underwater.
@@brandonbwanakocha9450 I remember Oda admitted that he just forgot drawing that panel, but also created a joke sketch explanation after the fact with the piece of wood. It is a mistake that in the grand scheme that is ignored cause that panel just is cool.
For the bounties: It was shown how Zoro got his nickname "Pirate hunter", he was hunting pirates with bounties and cashing them in to buy himself food. Its probably the only instance of bounties actually being important (with the recent chapter Cross Guild's bounties which caused a navy vice admiral to be killed)
Yaaa but there should at least be a 7 warlord lvl pirate hunter. But there simply isn't. Nobody gonna come and collect high bounties, if not for other Pirates sometimes.
Kaido trying to kill himself is something you don't understand, he is not trying to die he is trying to kill himself by damaging his body. He is essentially testing himself to see if he can die from certain things. It goes well with his character also if he for example dies that would be good with him i think. He is severely depressed in my opinion and is just trying to find an excuse to die but is not fully committed to dying
For point 8, kido hasn't awakened his devil fruit as we know. With the "scarf" they get it because they awoke their Devil fruits by normal means. Choppers is a force awakening that eventually with training he learns to control it, the beast prison guards are actually smile devil fruit users who the devil fruit took control of their body and now they are stuck in their awakened state
The guards are not smiles, but an awakening where the user and fruit were not in synchrony. Remember that Zoan fruits have wills and will take control if the user awakens before being ready.
A lot of these "plot holes" can be attributed to a purposeful plot element; i.e., Oda built a world full of isolated islands that have little contact with each other and not a lot of access to information from the outside. It'd be like expecting a carpenter from 1400 Europe to know the name of China's emperor at the time.
Pretty much. Most of these ‘plot holes’ actually make sense if you look part the surface level. The only ones that really make 0 sense is the Haki stuff and the size comparison stuff.
About the op fruits: 1. Law's fruit allows certain operations such as shambles (switch places), tact (move objects), and the one where he slices you. You cannot do just anything with it, but he can do any of his moves to anyone he knows is in the room. K-room (awakened power) can be centered on an object to manipulate it. 2. Kizaru's fruit would not allow him to travel around even earth in a second and the world of One Piece is 84% the size of out Sun. For balance and pizzaz, they slow down how fast Kizaru moves to distinguish it from teleporting (such as shambles). 3. The hobby fruit is only as good as its user, being very limited. Since a kid was using it, it was terrible. 4. Haki is the literal hard counter to devil fruits and the hard counter to itself. If your haki is stronger than the user's haki, they cannot use certain powers on you, but if your haki is equal or weaker, it will not matter.
Haki introduced very late because oda originally plan yo end this story in 5 years. So its pretty obvious plot hole for the sake of prolonging the story
one piece world is 84 % size of the sun? and they are traveling with a Sailboat max speed prob somewhere like 15 knots? aight . even if that was the case, Kizaru still would have been able to travel around equator in a second 😀
I think a few of these (like the one about some countries fighting with tech and others with sticks and the one about certain parts of the world thinking devil fruits are a myth) can be answered by understanding that the One Piece world is a fragmented planet. Ohara supposedly learned a lot about the void century, but almost none of the rest of the world learned what Ohara knew without physically traveling there. Same for Egghead and Punk Hazard. The only characters who knew what was going on had some involvement with the ones running things. And the news wouldn't necessarily cover this gap. I'm guessing there is some reason that the world government wants the One Piece world to remain fragmented, so newspapers that go too far over the line with sharing information might not remain in existence for long. Just my thoughts.
I absolutely agree with the information gap between parties in the OP world. Regarding the technology in the world... Well, in our world it's similar. Some nations have big amounts of money, ressources and technology while other nations can't even keep up with the base equipment, because they're poor. Poor people are easier to control, because they are depending on food, water and other stuff to live. We saw that especially in Wano. While the capital city was rich and overflowing with food, clean water and many enjoyments, the "ghettos" couldn't even keep themselves alive properly. So it's only logical that some forces in the OP world have such advanced technology while others haven't. If normal civilians would have laser guns and whatnot, they would be powerful enough to really rebel against the government and would be much more independent. (Hope my grammar makes sense... English isn't my native language.)
That’s a really good point, I was of the opinion that, just like in the real world, some people have more advanced tech, medicine, education, weapons etc and some do not due to wealth and capitalism
The thing about kaido not drowning himself is that technically, he ate the fish fish fruit that had a mythic effect. Which turned himself into a dragon.
@@christianrowell1081To be fair, it isn't unlikely he ate the Fish Fish Fruit Model Karp and the dragon fruit is an awakening. Could also explain why Momo is pink like how Red Gyarados happened.
@@LunarPurin I think, the model was always azure dragon, but yeah, its still technically a fish fish fruit, so i´m pretty sure, he can survive in water, hed just be immobilized, like a fishman with fruit powes would. water prevents you from actively using your powers, but passive abilities, like luffys rubberbody, or choppers human intellect remain active. so hed still be able to breathe underwater, if its a passive buff.
20:20 the biggest hint that Luffy's power wasn't merely rubber, with STRONG emphasis on BIGGEST, was gear third. He explained it by saying he's blowing air into his bones to inflate them. But as anyone with the most basic understanding of physics could tell you, an increase in volume without adding mass should logically reduce density. But with Luffy's fist inflated to 100x its normal size it still seemed as though his fist was hitting as hard as it would at normal size.
I mean, if his arm would stretch sooo long to hit targets it should also still decrease the density. I think luffy’s power is that he could change the length or size of his body similar to rubber but not necessarily being bound to just rubber’s physics.
Stretching rubber also makes it harder, and luffy's bones r already hard enough to literally break the entire arlong park with a kick, so stretching a highly dense and strong rubber arm with air wouldn't necessarily make it weaker, think of a hard rubber like a truck tire with air inside
I’m not a fan of amnesia in general but I’m okay with Sabo because he was literally blown up as a child, probably had a pretty hectic concussion and was surrounded by people who had no idea of his past or family. It’s not a stretch to me for Sabo to not remember anything before waking up on dragon’s ship until he’s shown the face of his brother by coincidence
The main Reason Sabo suddenly remembered Ace is because of Akainu. Akainu's real name is "Sakazuki" which relates to "sharing sake cups". Sakazuki's name was present in the headline of Ace's Execution.
I think Ohara dug really deep but also stretched some things way more than they could have been stretched and ignored a bunch of details that would nullify these "plot holes" on purpose.
Yeah I left a pretty long comment about it, but it got kind of infuriating by the end because we know that Ohara almost certainly knows the answer to almost all of these.
@@abirdnamedwill right?! I'm mostly disappointed since I wanted to get my OP bias in check and I felt ohara would make a great video doing just that...boy was I wrong XD
I could see an argument being made for why Luffy wasn’t killed earlier in the story if the Gorosei knew of his real power all along and that is - they wanted to wait and see if he even becomes this kind of problem and learns the true power of his fruit, because if they had him killed the fruit would be 'born again' and get eaten by someone else who could pose an even bigger threat than Luffy power wise (for example Blackbeard or other strong pirates) but if he were to stagnate in his power growth and never awaken his fruit and never learns it’s actual nature it would simply rot away as the Gomu Gomu No Mi for as long as he would be alive
in that case they should arrest him and try to extract the fruit somehow, letting him loose isnt the solution, its a clear plot hole for me no need trying to justify it
@@multechpro7151The question is when would they capture him? He first became known after arlong and then 3-4 days later he’s at little garden an unknown and isolated island and most of his renown came after alabasta which is followed by skypiea and no way can they even chase him to skypiea without a lot of luck
I have 2 options 1- Shanks can talk directly to the gorosei, he asked for protection to Luffy or told them that he is not a menace and would eventually die because he is too reckless, then the Gorosei started to act when he awakened his fruit. 2- The goverment after killing Roger knows the sparks and fire that killing someone charismatic does to a generation, they don´t want that again and waited for luffy to die in the hands of the Shichibukai to don´t make the execution public (Because Morgans does not care about goverment secrets and love to make a good story) Or both of them.
Sabo's amnesia only "healed" because he read the name of ace and also luffy, aswell as "sakazuki" name, wich means "cup of sake" and that backfired the remember of the 3 brothers sharing sake. It wasn't a plot hole, it was art.
Not only because of what you just said, I think he remembered because of the actual shock of finally realizing that this figure he always saw is now actually DEAD and it's his childhood friend. I know people that had supressed traumatic memories from their childhood just to ser them coming back hitting like a truck after another similar experience.
lol oh he read a couple names and got all his memories back? right. makes total sense🤣🤣it's an embarrassingly weak attempt to shoehorn in an excuse for sabos existence
The reason why the government didn’t go after Luffy was with more force was because they underestimated him. I mean think about it, despite it being in circulation for 800 years the Nika nika fruit has never been awakened before. They probably got cocky and thought it would never be awakened much less Luffy doing it. And by the time he was enough of a threat that it was worth considering that he might actually awaken it, Luffy was in Big Mom’s territory which probably gave them cold feet and then he went straight from that emperor’s territory to Kaido’s territory which has tons of rules and restrictions keeping the government out in addition to dealing with the obvious issue of finding the manpower to deal with Luffy and his crew, Kaidou and his crew, and big mom and her crew. Credit where credit’s due they did try assassinating Luffy in Wano, it just didn’t stick
@@crushedscouter9522 Not really. Maybe I used the wrong word maybe complacent would’ve been better. Either way if the fruit hasn’t been awakened for 800 years why would they think Luffy would be any different than the others that failed to awaken it, at least until around the wholecake island arc
@Crushed Scouter do you have any idea how long 800 years is? It's not "cocky" to think that something that hasn't happened in 800 years is an exceedingly slim possibility. If we were to compare that to today's timeline, the last time the fruit would have been awakened would been 250 years prior to the fall of Constantinople, around the same time the longbow was invented.
Also the fact that Luffy is GARP, the hero of the Navy's grandson. I don't think they would've just went and tried to kill Garp's grandson early like that. AND knowing that Dragon, the leader of the Rev Army, is his father. Going after a young Luffy, with a likely "slim" chance to awaken into Nika, would've had some serious complications in the world. People would have a bigger reason to oppose the world government if news came out that killed a young (child) luffy who ate a "random" devil fruit in the gomu gomu no mi. plus, the world government don't want people to know that the gomu gomu no mi is the Nika Nika fruit
I think Luffy not dying might be becoz of its devil fruit. The 5 elders also said that the devil fruit tried to evade them multiple times as if it has will of it's own. And what I think is that Luffy is not special on his own but might be because of his Nika fruit. For example how come, Luffy was able to awake Gear 5 after his defeat and near death. Zunesha also confirmed that he could hear Joyboy returning, so one possibility could be that the Nika model devil fruit might actually hold the conscience of its previous holder and as time goes by, the user also access their haki as well. Like Luffy able to see what happens in the future because of his fight with Katakuri. Just a theory but I think in future arcs, Luffy might be able to gain access to Joyboy's memories and could see what actually happened in Void century.
Because of a Fruit which chose him instead of god knows how many people the OP world holds. He was special, and the Fruit made him even more special after choosing him.
Considering the fruit actually gives him the power of imagination, I can totally see it keeping him alive. Someone like Luffy wouldn't just lay down and die, so if he imagines a way to live through whatever happening I can see the fruit making it so. Like if he has the power of imagination, I can see him going "this hole in my side is making me tired, let me take a nap to get my strength back" and the nap actually working instead of him dying which is usually what happens when someone gets hurt than starts losing their energy.
Explanations from the top of my head: 20 - Shanks let his arm be cut off (just like roger let his head be cut off in the first page) 19 - the whole gimmick of baroque works was that no one knew each other (unless they were partners) 18 - not a plot hole as you said (OP had bounty hunters like the cactus guy from the colosseum and Zoro himself) 17 - not a plot hole since disinformation and censorship have existed since day 1 (revealing characters 20+ years later is a narrative choice not a plot hole) 16 - databooks aren't accurate (especially for determining height) 15 - not a plot hole just a lack of knowledge/misinformation in the first half of the grand line 14 - like you said, haki balances the primary power system 13 - like you said not a plot hole (Mr. 3 didn't submerged because of a piece of floating wood behind him, seriously look it up) 12 - he wants to die in a grandiose way just like Roger and WB, otherwise he wouldn't try to defend himself while fighting) 11 - not a plot hole (fun fact around the time that I was watching Dressrosa my uncle fell and hit the back of his head leading to him to forget who he was, it happens, he eventually remembered) 10 - not a plot hole since Attach hasn't seen Chopper be more than a pet 9 - not a plot hole just more lack of knowledge/misinformation to the ones that haven't been there (Gatz literary tells the people from Dressrosa what Bellamy did for Doffy) 9 - lack of knowledge due to not having access to that information either because of location or monetary issues + not everyone reads the newspaper (there's people that don't even know about the four emperors btw) + censorship and skepticism exist PS: show me a news coo in Skypiea, Wano, Amazon Lily, Zou, etc. 8 - not a plot hole since Oda always specifies who has awakened their devil fruit 7- even though he read about devil fruits doesn't mean Sanji took all the info as facts to the point that he instantly knew that he had to save Luffy the exact moment that he fell into the water (he was confused) 6 - just like in the real world there's places like tokyo and the amazon forest (little garden vs egghead) + Vivi said that there were places stuck in time PS: Eneru and VP have flying machines 5 - reread chapter 1037 + the navy/warlords/revolutionary army have constantly helped Luffy in getting away from the hands of the WG + he could've been a good warlord in their eyes before Alabasta 4 - zoans are tough (especially mythical ones) + he always had someone or something that preventing him from dying PS: every example you gave was either explained or can be easily justified 3- quick examples: hao can be seen in chapter 1, buso can be seen in post EL, and kenbun can be seen in Alabasta + WB definitely used haki (just like the shooters) and CP9 isn't a top agency (CP0-8 are) 2 - It's called a plot twist 🤷♀ + aside from having his own reasons, Shanks bet on Luffy's success (conversation with WB during post EL) otherwise he would've been his babysitter PS: Luffy doesn't bend reality 1 - not a plot hole since when someone seems to have died doesn't mean they are dead I can explain each of these in more detail if you want
@@yrnkevinsmithC-137 ik, I just wanted to use a few pre-marineford examples because some people think that was the first arc where haki was used 😂 PS: Ohara saying that WB wasn’t using haki truly was a two piece moment (did he forgot who made Akainu bleed?) 💀
I didn't want to take the time (good on you friend, doing the sun gods work) but I felt it wouldn't be too hard to explain each point in the video. Well done sir XD
I honestly think the only plot hole here is the WG not expending more power to kill Luffy early, but your reason is somewhat believable. This is a bad video lol
The reason that heights are weird is because the author wants to emphasise certain characters in manga panels. That’s it. Nothing else. It’s an artistic choice.
Baroque Works was built around compartmentalized information. Agents who did not work directly with each other didn't know each other's faces, no one in the group other than Robin ever met Crocodile in an official capacity, and agents who hasn't already been assigned to Alabasta had no idea that was the end game. So it makes sense that no one figured Vivi out, as the only person who really could was Robin. And Robin did figure it out, she just let it go because she thought it might be better for her in the long run.
There were plenty of bounty hunters in the anime, most of them are afraid of gigantic bounties tho. Also Sabo did know about Ace, it was the shock of his death that returned his memory, not just his existence. Haki is not visible to non-haki users and haki is only common in the new world because that's where those that can rise above the rest meet (observation haki was heavily used in skypiea even). Shanks clearly trusted Luffy, leaving him with the straw hat, he knew Luffy could find a way to survive so he had no need to take Luffy with him. As for the world government, like you said, I suppose they didn't want to make a scene and reveal the true nature of his fruit because then it wouldn't just be them but the whole world after it. Plus, as far as they knew, Luffy was under the complete impression that he is a rubber man and no more, so at the time he did not pose a huge threat, if they just kept him under control, nobody else could eat the fruit and Luffy would have never awakened his abilities. Oda said he doesn't want anyone to die because he wants a big party at the end.
Haki is a massive plot hole because oda originally plan the story to end in 5 years Shanks sacrifice also very stupid For world government, they can easily sent elite admirals quietly from the start, they didnt need to make announcement out of it lol Lot of plot hole, fans need to understand that plot hole is very common so stop acting like one piece is superior in this aspect
"Haki is not visible to non-haki users" Well that doesn't matter here because it's not seeing the black effect that's the issue, it's that Shanks could have used it to not have his arm bitten off, Whitebeard could've reduced a lot of the damage he took instead of getting holes blown in him by cannonballs. Ace and Smoker fight but can't hit each other, but they'd be able to if either of them used haki.
Mate it's literally stated by Marco that he's so sick his Haki doesn't work. When Squardo stabs whiteboard Marco says that he is surprised Whitebeard didn't react since he definetly had future sight in his prime and even basic Observation should have been enough
My theory for the haki plot hole is that; Yes it is never mentioned as "Haki" because Luffy didn't know about it, and it feels wrong for the viewer to understand it before Luffy does. Those haki's are acknowledged as something else, such as Enel's Mantra, Rokushiki Kami-e, and I believe the rokushiki Tekkai and Shigan uses armament to coat their body.
Im pretty sure that Haki was originally not meant to have an obvious appearance (like armaments black coloring) and was added later to make it more clear that it was being used. So i think many characters pre timeskip were using it it's just that it wasn't colored differently at the time and went over our heads? TBH I think the CP 9 All knew basic haki but as for its strength idk
In the same scene as Garp was revealed to be Luffy's grandfather, Garp punched him in the head and Luffy commented on that it hurt so Garp had to have used haki for Luffy to feel the damage
@@jungelskogg1 yess sanji even asked Luffy how he could feel the pain since he’s a rubber man, then Garp said it’s because of the fists of love, so yes he was definitely using haki
@@sarkiabdullahi54 Yeah, when Rayleigh introduced armament haki, he said that it was like an invisible armor. So it makes sense that we couldn't see it during the pre-timeskip
The amount of foreshadowing early on in the story, the way the main antagonist (Blackbeard) was introduced, and how it was thoroughly weaved into the story as early as Zhou shows that Oda had it planned from the beginning. Blackbeard is the antithesis of Luffy: King of darkness with the power of blackholes and a desire to make everyone around him submit. Luffy is the opposite: Sun god nika with a desire to free everyone around him. Skypeia is a representation of the series as a whole: Luffy saving the world from false gods who oppress them. There is the silhouette that looks almost identical to the sun god nika pose. Them going to Zhou was a major plot point and the elephant knew Joyboy, so the entire arc had sun god nika weaved into it.
I dont think so. Before wano (could be even in dressrosa) oda stated, that he still doesnt know how luffy will defeat kaido, so oda had to turn the rubber fruit into the nika fruit.
@@whereisthepot9208 He didn't know how Luffy would win which likely means that he hadn't fully fleshed out the powers and how thy would be utilized but he probably had the concept long before.
He could have just been saying he didn’t know what attack Luffy would use. I like writing as a hobby and sometimes I can’t decide how one character will beat the other because I can’t choose the attack they will use out of all of the ones they have available.
Zoro used to be a bountyhunter, so bounties are actually used the problem is that pirates are too mobile or scale too high for regular people (In One Piece following your dreams makes you stronger so being into something just for cash sorta caps your potential), unless you are in a good position like Whiskey Peak you arent really living of that, and you migth as well become a Marine for the training. At best, the posters are encouraging oportunistic behavior, like selling out crew members or as mass alert notices for the danger level of a pirate
The dream explanation doesn't make sense, for at least 2 reason them being it culd be your dream to be the richest person ever or to be the strongest pirate hunter.
For the haki one, -Haki can only be learnt by intense training and pushing ones limits. The grand line challenges people, but nearly as much as the new world. -Marco said whitebeard couldn't use haki at the time because he was in the final stage of cancer -One of the 6 powers of the CP-9, Iron Body, was actually stated to be Armament Haki by Jimbei in his fight with Who's Who
First point doesnt make sense, haki does need someone to train hard to learn it, but its not related to new world or grand line, luffy was taught haki not by exploring new world or grand line but by being teached by railegh which means that a lot of people would know it just by being trained by someone that knew it, just like some people in wano knew it but they never left their country so people in grand line would already use it. Second point also doesnt make sense even if whitebeard couldnt use it, why nobody else did, i mean marco didnt, blackbeard didnt, akainu didnt, aokiji didnt and that list pretty much includes every character before mf arc and during it, i mean someone powerfull would be using it during those events or at any previous in the story, the only answer to that is that haki wasnt fully planned out yet. Third point also doesnt make sense because if iron body and techniques of cp9 would be considered as haki they would be introduced or refered as that when they were introduced in the story or before that especially that haki would be a common knowledge amongst good pirate fighters, bringing almost the most recent arc where haki is fully introduced doesnt prove in any way that it was planned early in the story, for that you need examples that are early in the story.
Well haki was obviously meant to be a power up tool post time skip. That is why many characters who probably should have had great haki ability didnt have it: like CP9, crocodile. But it was still decently set up to not seem like a complete asspull. Like Mantra in skypiea, Iron body for CP9 (in my opinion). And by thriller bark, it was already a thing.
There are many MANY instances of haki used in the pts, they are just subtler. Also there are theories and or just rational explanations that try to explain Crocodile not using haki. For example the crocodile was a woman theory (not using haki so he doesn't override ivankove's ability in his body) to more rationale and less out there explanations like his arrogance, environment, or priority on his fruit as opposed to haki.
Crocodile also lost a lot of his will to fight losing to Whitebeard when he wanted to be king of the pirates. Just like Moria who doesn’t use haki. Also cp9 isn’t the strongest agency as shown by CP0.
CP9 was probably never taught haki as is because of their dangerous status as a secret group of assassins, but just the basics in the form of Rokushiki (Iron Body is basically an incomplete way to use armament haki), they were never meant to be in the front line and only used to kill targets that were influential but not fighters themselves. When they were transferred to CP0, however, they were taught that skill more thoroughly, hence members of CP0 are capable of using "normal" armament haki and stuff. Also it's basically a public secret in New World, but not many of its users traveling to Paradise to teach it to others and those who can't use it simply cannot see it. Also young Kuzan himself stated he hadn't even learned it, making it something you need to study to learn and not something you could do by simply knowing its existence. In Crocodile's case people assume he could have enough influence to find information about the use of haki and then teach himself how to use it, which is not the case. He was probably so destroyed by Whitebeard he never had any will to train himself further, so he outright decided to find Pluton to cover it up.
I think for number 4 Luffy’s survival can be explained by him being lucky and unknowingly a zoan, and Oda pretty much fleshing out zoans as super resilient in Wano was to close that plot hole a bit.

Emna is a special sword that changes size for the owner, when it was passed down to his daughter, it changed to suit her, which meant it could fit zoro
The real plot hole is how was she supposed to use that sword? Either Hirori is stronger than we know or that sword was just going to suck the life out of her.
Not a single sword, especially enma was ever shown to change size in the story. You cant bring up something not in the story to try and fix the plot hole.
I think the bounties make perfect sense, even if characters are extremely powerful to the point where it seems like the public won't be able to catch them, it still makes sense to issue a bounty saying they are a wanted criminal, give some a sense of how much they are worth and allow for general members of the public who stand no chance to keep away from these people, while allowing bounty hunters (yes there aren't any of worth revealed yet but remember that the marines got both aramaki and fujitora from public scanning so it is possible that there are people that strong who are not affiliated with any of the three powers) to go hunt for stronger people. It happens in the real world too. Criminals who are obviously too dangerous for bounty hunters and the general public do also have wanted posters as a warning method to the general public, and in case there is an off chance someone is able to bring that criminal in. Also regarding the fruit awakening section: Of course kaido wouldn't have the clouds surrounding his hybrid form, that isn't his awakening, same way chopper doesn't have the clouds when he transforms into his hybrid, also why luffy can use other skills but only Gear 4 and 5 have those clouds and even Gear 4th doesn't have it completely, it's just not being used. When Kaido ignites himself in dragon form you can kind of see swirls appear around his neck area, which could imply he used his awakening then
The bounties don’t make perfect sense especially not in this point in the story. Luffy, Kidd and Law all have the same bounty?! That doesn’t make any sense considering luffy 1 Vs 1 and defeated a Yonkou. And don’t say Oda wanted to make them rivals because luffy and the supernova stopped being rivals the minute Luffy 1 Vs 1 a Yonkou. In addition to that look at Law and Kidd following Wano they both got obliterated by Yonkou taking them serious. The bounty system is in shambles at this point. And if all three supernova have the same bounty why aren’t they all Yonkou?!

The only viable explanation for Shank losing his arm is that he allowed it. The reason I can imagine this is that he was trying to send a message to everyone (or for himself) who thinks he could be the next Joyboy.
9:05 maybe kaido wanted to get the death experience because he thought this way he can become joyboy. He himself said something like "dying makes a person complete"
About luffy's devil fruit, the world govt has been trying for 800 years to get their hands on it but miraculously the fruit somehow ended up somewhere else everytime. In this long time nobody has been actually able to awaken the fruit's powers and considering that the sun god's powers manifest only after awakening, I think it would have been too excessive on the part of world govt. to go after luffy earlier in the story. This is also supported by the fact that the world govt. went after luffy on wano, just after his awakening
the WG wanted the fruit for themselves so getting rid of it's present user should be a priority independently if said user awakened the fruit or not. the sooner the present user dies, the sooner a new DF will be created.
11:04 I've seen somewhere that Chopper being so low was not only for comical purposes, but also because people might just kill a random reindeer and claim the bounty like "yeah that's Chopper"
The inconcistence of the "5 flying devil fruits" can be solved, there´s my theory: The "Flying devil fruits" may not be refering fruits that allow the user to fly (there are many crative ways to use the fruits, like the fruit of Kuma that just trhow people very very far away, in a way they are "Flying" but this doesn´t make the Kuma´s fruit a "Flying-type"). Instead, the 5 Flying fruits may have other singularity atached. We know that one of the revolutionary army members owns the karasu fruit that allows him to transform into a flock of crows. It´s a zoan fruit but works like a logia, dividing the user into a group of birds. If we supouse that every other bird-like zoan fruit has this quirk, but it´s developed only when the fruit is awakening, then we have: -Pell may awake his fruit while carring the bomb in Alabasta, right before the explosion, alawing he to survive (and fixing une of the most infamous plot holes of the series) -Morgans use his Albatros-like fruit to control the albatros that he uses to deliver the news trought all across the world -the revolutionary army member -Maybe Marco -? I´m not counting King´s because is a Ryu-Ryu model of fruit, and the Ryu-Ryu is not a bird-like zoan, making any of their models not "Flying-type" candidates, even if there are models that in the most literal way are "Flying-type" and bird-like fruits (Same logic witj any other model fruit). Neither I´m counting the magician of the Kurohige´s pirates fruit because the power of the fruit is give the user angel wings, just that, not soan and not bird-like (even if the wings of angels are very bird-like). Then, suposing this theory as true, we may not see yet the last of the 5 flying fruits. Pd: I´m not english native, so if there are any gramatical error sorry about that jsjs. good video and good channel, byee
what also could have been meant by that statement is - "the only 5 that were recorded in the DV encyclopedia" - "the only 5 known to to that specific individual"
I know I'm late to the party, but I still wanna throw my two cents, especially with Gear 5. I'm definitely in the camp that likes it and what it adds(changes) to the story, I for one never really saw the need to question how or why the government couldn't find Luffy since as far they knew Shanks is the one that had the fruit, they wouldn't know some random 7-year-old ate it. Luffy lived in Foosha Village, a complete back-water in the Goa Kingdom, watched over by Garp, so even if a hunt was conducted no one would think it is on such an island much less the Hero of the Marine's grandson (If you can accept Dawn Island being a reasonable place for Ace when they were hunting him, then same applies to Luffy).10 years pass and Luffy is a no-name pirate making small waves in the East Blue, nothing special bout that, then he enters the Grand Line and truly becomes notorious, but even with that newfound notoriety the Gorosei shouldn't inherently know bout his devil fruit (after all, they spent 800 years wiping out its true value from the world no is gonna really think to report that, not civilians or the average marine), they knew he beat Crocodile and nothing more, plus there's the cover-up they had to do for the whole incident as well. After that, he goes to Skypeia, no way for the WG to get a hold of him there. Then Water 7 and Enies Lobby, this is where I believe the Gorosei became aware he had the fruit, with multiple marines (and Cipher Pol 9 agents, since remember they were the ones in charge securing the fruit in the first place) bearing witness to shit he was doing and his fight with Lucci, they definitely got that report for which would lead them to send Kuma to kill him at Thriller Bark (which fails). Then there was the war with Whitebeard, the government legitimately had to worry bout that than with Luffy (who at the time hadn't awakened the fruit yet). He then disappears for 2 years (hiding away in the Calm Belt) and honestly from there, Luffy is just hoping between Yonko territory and islands that no one would consider like Zou (brief stint in Dressrosa notwithstanding) till they finally truly get him at Wano. They got him right where they want, got operatives that will definitely see the job through and try and kill him...only for it to blow up in their faces. I'm sure with the Egghead arc Oda will address this "oversight" since one of the Gorosei is en route to the island, so let's wait and see. Finally, while Gear 5 essentially grants Luffy Looney Tunes powers he's still bound by it coming from his rubber body and things he's actively touching. His imagination is the deciding factor and even then as shown in the fight with Kaidou, Luffy was still getting hurt and wasn't dominating him. There are still the inherent risks of it quickly and heavily draining his stamina, having his mind potentially consumed by the Zoan fruit's innate nature, and being cut (he's still at the end of the day, a rubber man) so I wouldn't say it's the bestest, most OP power ever, it still has serious drawbacks and weaknesses to it, it's just the most ridiculous power.
Also, to be fair, when it comes to point 17, Joy Boy wasn't introduced THAT late into the series. He was first mentioned in 2011 which is 14 years after the series started, sure, but 12 (nearly 13) years ago, so it's roughly about halfway through and it'll be less than halfway through when this crazy ride eventually ends. I do definitely agree that it's clear Oda didn't plan this stuff. With his love of foreshadowing stuff YEARS ahead (like Jinbe being mentioned before they get to Arlong Park) it's clear that Joy Boy wasn't something he'd thought of for quite a long time into the manga.
@@oliverbicanic8517 i agree, these '' plot holes'' are just unexplained or a lack of details areas; and some are not even all that confusing give the anime setting. most of these are open to the understanding of the reader/watcher-- not anybody will think like this guy for what he is saying. and many people will not defiitely think like OP
As for Chopper, the Gorasei probably know he's not just a pet, but being in a small mammal form most of the time it's just easier to classifiy him as one. That or he is still considered one by Celestial Dragon standards seeing as some of their own slaves can be used as "pets" and some probably own giant animals that would dwarf Chopper under normal circumstances.
I like the theory that they made Choppers Bounty low because the Marines know that if he had a high bounty too many people would bring them normal racoons claiming it to be Chopper
Something to remember when it comes to inconsistencies in knowledge and technology: The world of One Piece is mostly isolated islands where the majority of the world's population live on their island from birth to death and the only new information available would be through snails (Marines seemingly control the majority of these), newspapers/books (can be misinformation or straight up propaganda), or word of mouth from visiting ships (traders, pirates, marines, all with their own biases and personal interest). Lies can be told and certain things can be omitted with the World Government controlling the broad narrative for the most part. The world's oceans contain many islands not associated with the WG, many islands in the Grand Line difficult to reach, and many within the Calm Belt that only select few ships can access (mostly Marine). This setting of isolation and knowledge disparity is actually the main motivation for characters like Vegapunk who wants to basically create the internet for the One Piece world and Nico Robin who is searching for the erased world history the WG is trying to hide.
I can see bounty’s having a purpose for the WG to make pirates fight each other. Think of how mad kidd was he was even with luffy but luffy got yonko. Now imagine that on a lesser degree. Two dangerous rivals have close bounty’s so the wg gives one slightly more. So being rivals they end up fighting and if one kills the other over a number the wg wins. But I agree we needed more bounty hunters for any of it to make real sense.
I can see the reason why BHs are not that big of a thing in One Piece being, that the world is just so overrun by pirates, that these pirates would band together to eliminate such individuals whose sole purpose is to hunt pirates down and threaten their existence. Also pirates are most of the time a big group, while BHs are individuals or very small groups (exception being Baroque Works, who had significant backing). In real life for the same reason you don't see individual people hunting down drug gangs in mexico for the rewards on the druglords. They would just be eliminated immeadiatly. There is only the police but they are a big organisation (similar to the marines in One piece).
@@AlsandoGames also it’s the same as fbi bounties, like with Robin people where turning her in in hopes of a reward. It’s not just 10000bajilion if you beat them up, it’s also information, it’s a carrot.

The thing with the swords was actually explained by oda the swords adapt to each owner that’s why momo could wield odens sword as a child and still looked the same size when he was adult the sword adapted to his size
@@thouxanbanman9674 It only states that the sword has a will of it's own it doesn't state that it adapts to the owner wielding it, otherwise Zoro wouldn't have to train to gain Odens swords trust. About Kaido being awakened or not, I think he is. I haven't seen anyone else mention this, and I don't know if it's true in the manga, but Kaido has 2 hybrid forms in the Anime. One where he's light blue and has no eyebrows, and one where he's dark blue and has swirly cloud like eyebrows. I believe the 2nd dark blue form with cloud eyebrows to be indicative of awakening. Edit: He definitely has 2 forms in the Manga too. I dunno if the colors translate, but normally he has no eyebrows, but when he does Drunken Bagua and Thunder Bellow Bagua he has swirly cloud eyebrows. Edit 2: His nose also changes from fairly normal looking to a wider, rounded look.
Finally! I spotted this the moment I saw it in the manga and even said it on another Morj video but I never saw anyone talk about that, you are the first. I really think Kaido's drunk form is the awaken
Manu: "we have never seen anyone actually try to collect a Bounty" Luffy: "See, Zoro, those guys on Whiskey Peak weren't bounty hunters! You were wrong"
A lot of these are more so issues with the series than outright plotholes. You could also explain away many of these issues because of how massive the series is in its scope. Like WG not going all out on Luffy early on. 1) he is a very smalltime pirate compared to WG. Imagine ordering all the Marines to go after a 30 million beri man. 2) there could be an actual rubber fruit out there. 3) the DF is said to be very elusive for the WG. 4) revealing the truth too early could have caused unforseen consequences.
You re too smart for Ohara's videos and fanbase . He does not get and is not a reader, he just focus on superficial stuff, Celestial dragons are simply like Senators or NATO members they are flawed , take blunders , are tied by rules and prejudices . all of these "plot-holes" ARE nothing but low comprehension results . one piece is actually very realistic and "human"based it means built with normal people who make mistakes, get distracted, are mostly ignorant and arrogant etc.etc. one for all when he talks about technology disparity IS IT NOT REAL : go to Africa and any underdeveloped country and see , the same goes for information : there are places and whole in Asia where people still watch TV and listen to radio in 2023.anw I would like you to be my follower on the tube ❤️❤️❤️

One other thing to note about the government not killing luffy is that there have only been 6 known pirates that were able to truly hold their own against the world government, those being Kaido, Whitebeard, Big Mom, Shanks, Xebec, and Roger. Even when Xebec was defeated they needed Roger to stop him. It’s not that far off to think that Luffy wouldn’t be as strong as he would become. Plus if they kill Luffy that means his devil fruit could end up anywhere in the world and they would have to spend a ton of time searching for it.
Didn't the Gorosei literally say that they thought the Sun God fruit was a myth? It wasn't until Wano and the threat of Luffy actually becoming a full-fledged Yonko that they took the idea seriously at all.
Actually didn't they say they been trying to obtain that fruit but it like it have a will of it own they never been successful. I definitely don't think oda plan for Luffy fruit to be legandary.
number 3, oda said that haki is invisible, it wasnt introduced pre timeskip because oda wanted to have it revealed after the timeskip, which explained how fighters have stronger attacks even tho they dident look like they used a lot of power, like lucci, he had armarmant haki and probably used it agains luffy in their fight, but because it wasnt introduced yet, it was invisible, haki is still invisible. oda just made haki visible for us to have a better sight and understanding of the users power and attack.

5:41 I still think Karasu was actually born a crow and ate the mythical Hito Hito or Tori Tori no Mi: Model Tengu, making him effectively a Karasu Tengu. The other crows he can "turn into" are actually his flock (or murder is it's called for crow) over which he has control for some reason. That's also why he has the mask. He can't make his beak disappear because both a crow and a Tengu have beaks. When he "becomes" the murder he actually just transforms back into a standard crow and orders his other crows to spread out Edit: As it just so happens, today came the One Piece episode in Germany in which the commanders of the Revolutionary Army were introduced. In that, Karasu ORDERED his crows to steal weapons from their enemies. If he consisted of the crows then I don't think there would be a need for him to order them. Instead he would just do it.
As far as # 12 I believe Kaido’s devil fruit is one of the fish fish fruits model azure dragon. Its likely that the change to his body allowed him to possibly swim or at the very least breath underwater. Even if he is paralyzed he wouldn’t die.
@@DatNoxEdits maybe but its implied that he can in fact breath underwater. Because it changed his physiology as opposed to being a direct power of the fruit. Unless i missed something. Like with one of his underlings that has a devil fruit but is a fishman so he gets paralyzed in the water but can breath until he is recovered by his alies.
I thought kaido being able to survive is because he's a fish. My head cannon is that he was able to turn to a fish and was able to survive underwater although unable to move just like Jack (I thought that was why he was pretty close to Jack). When Kaido was able to turn to a dragon he still retained fish properties to be able to go underwater but still not able to move. I think that plothole was pretty much resolved when it was revealed that kaido ate the uo uo no mi and not a straight up dragon fruit.
I think the reason Kaido didn’t just throw himself into the sea, is because of a similar reason to, “Jack” who somehow sat at the bottom of the ocean for hours?
Also for plot hole 12, I've been theorizing for awhile that since kaido has the mythical fish fish fruit model "azure dragon" not the dragon dragon or lizard lizard fruit, he will have some unique interaction with the water. This could be why he couldn't kill himself in the water, or it will give him the ability to "swim" in some other sense in order to return to the story later on
Thats what I was thinking, if he has a fish fish fruit no matter the model he probably has some fish properties like breathing under water. Just like animals who ate human human fruit can not only look like a human but can talk and be as inteligent as one.
The only people in the World Government who new about the Gum Gum Fruit were the 5 Planet Elders and the Queen, none of the Marines knew about it. It is noted that it wasn't made a big issue of until later after the Water 7 Arc. It is also possible that Shanks who we know meet with the 5 Planet Elders was likely protecting Luffy from being pursued out of hand by Admirals.
in marineford, whitebeard was so "weakened" that his haki was just pouring out uncontrollably. so its not that he wasnt necessarily not using haki, but rather his haki was being limited by his physical state
Haki may not have been mentioned pre-timeskip but it was definitely used by Zoro in his fight with Mr.1 during the zen awakening scene when he cant cut leaves but he can cut through cement. Sounds like Armament Haki was how Zoro beat Mr.1, but it's hard to tell if it was a skill he used or a "one time use of Armament Haki".
Haki was definetly a late invention by Oda, together with Awakening. He obviously ran out of ideas on how to make Luffy stronger. I remember when Logia devil fruits were made to be the pinacle of strength, and now with the invention of Haki they are basically useless
Well, its not. Remember how Roger read the poneglpyhs? He could hear the voices of all things. When Zoro fought Daz Bones, he concentrated to the point that he could hear the "breathing" of the leaves on a branch or the giant piece of a stone laying besides him
About kaido drowning in the sea. 2 possibilities. 1 Oda didnt even think through that one well enough and its inconsistency indeed. 2 Or kaidos fruit actually make him breath underwater actually. Its called fish fish fruit for a reason maybe. Maybe thats the reason they couldnt contain him with sea prism stones also.
That could explain it but thats just your theories, we actually have to see that mention or happen in story to take that as explanation and not years after in arc far far away from that event occuring.
I’d like to think the reason why Shanks let the King of the Sea eat his arm was to prove a point to Luffy. Luffy is so important to him that he’s willing to sacrifice things for him. But Luffy must prove himself in the pirate world as well. This is why Shanks passed on Rogers straw hat to Luffy, because he wanted Luffy to prove himself, Shanks has shown him trust, now Luffy must show Shanks that that trust wasn’t meant for nothing
100% Shanks also refers to that moment as "betting on the future" he let himself lose his arm on purpose to instill this memory into luffy and pass on the Will to him. Shanks new his generations time has come and the new gen will have to take over. He knows he won't need his arm anymore, and he places all of his hope into luffy to complete the will that he could not.
wow what a wild explanation, so basically when your son plays with fire you burn yourself to death to teach him a lesson and show him how can fire be harmful , got it😅🤣
@@certifedcupcake plz stop with bs explanation, i'd rather aknowledge it as a plot hole than having this as an explanation, if oda ever dare to give us this kind of bs excuses im quitting watching OP 😅
The difference in tecnological developpement amongst different islands makes perfect sense to me. All the crazy advanced places are in the grand line and thus it's hard to get the tech to other places since grand line is known to be a dangerous place to travel and it's very isolated from the four blues. +the WG wants the tech for them selves not to average citicens.
For #5 my best would be that the World Government got too confident that no one would awaken the gom gomu no mi (since its been 800 years) and assumed luffy would die before awakening it, seeing as he just kept meeting warlords, admirals and vice admirals left and right. I would say they put too much trust into the people they let into power and only realized how serious it was once the Strawhats started entering Emperors' territories and realized that if he beats someone as strong as Kaido he's gonna awaken his fruit.
Right, and when Luffy is alive they can monitor him. If he died then they would lost sight on the devil fruit as well. Still, I'd have expected them to prison Luffy or something if they didn't feel overconfident.
I mean, to me, the government did go after Luffy like a lot. Kuma hunted him down, even Kizaru got involved iirc But Kuma sent them to other islands without them knowing Keep in mind they're at sea so their whereabouts should normally be unknown
For the “plot hole” about how nobody talks about Rocks, think about it this way: how often do people bring up Hitler or Khan or any other great conqueror? Not often, right? Since piracy in OP on more like criminality, how often have you heard people bring of notorious criminals like Capone and the like? Not very often, right? Most people tend to talk about current events, less so history, so why would anyone be talking about a pirate who disappeared 20-ish years ago? That’s like talking about Biggie & Tupac or OJ like it’s a current event (yes, it’s longer ago, but the fact still remains). One could make the argument of the modern news cycle compared to the One Piece world, but I feel like the OP newspaper basically serves as the modern new cycle. Speaking of which, Morgans is an underrated character, with his moral ambiguity. What an interesting character. I sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo wish Oda would give him more attention, but I can’t complain. The closest we get is Kuzan & he already all but said that he was a still a “good guy” back in Punk Hazard. Not complaining, just saying it could have more political intrigue, but I really, REALLY feel like Oda is trying to push a clearer, simpler message. Every time I sense a political message, it rings of anarcho-communism in tons of ways.
I dont know were you are from but hitler is literally one of the most talked about and mentioned humans that ever existed on earth. Also for being dead for hundreds of years genghis khan is still incredibly famous. I dont know man, your examples kinda proof the that people not knowing about rocks is a plot hole, imo
I can see how the Govt would try to keep Rocks a secret, but how could they stop the Shanks, Whitebeard, Blackbeard, Kaido, Roger, Big Mom, Dragon, and all of their crews from speaking freely about his name? Especially when you consider that there's not much evidence that any of them have motivation to keep his name a secret aside from maybe Shanks. So the pirate world should at least know more about him than the Marines and perhaps talk about him like he was a conspiracy of something. Lol.
About Luffy's imagination, I really think it was planned in the beggining. Luffy's whole story is about making dream true, so why not make his Devil Fruit do the same? Besides, even so, all of this power of Devil Fruit would not make him a new JoyBoy. I mean, without his kind personality Luffy would never gone that far) And about awakened Zoan. Chopper's is forced, not by a Haki(will of reindeer), but of science, hence why no rings are there. As for Impel Down.... who said you cannot tear it away to make them dumb?😈😈
If awakening is associated with clouds then Kaido did have clouds, but they weren't around him. He was making an entire island float with his clouds the entire time, so maybe he wasn't just awakened but an advanced awakened user based on this. However, this does bring another plot hole, which is Momonosuke using clouds as well. I think a lot of things in OP go on unexplained for us viewers, which puts us in the same shoes as the characters unlike most other shows. Some information in OP may even have lied to us. Maybe Luffy's second gear is actually the beginning of his awakening by heating up his body, and even he doesn't know that!? Second gear could be the base to learning red hawk. I'm pretty sure Dragon saved Luffy from being beheaded, but to this day, nothing was said to confirm it, probably because this would reveal Dargon's devil fruit. If Shanks lost his arm on purpose that would be dope for the story.
@haresh2757 How do you know for sure it's a dragon's ability to produce clouds? Kaido has a fish fruit. Why is awakening even produces clouds? Maybe Momo is awakened for all we know. The fake devil fruit maybe came with unlocked awakening if they did the experiments on Kaido while he was awakened.🤷♂️
That because you guys go too deep into the story and thinks too much Kaido devil fruit is just not awakened it's simple as that no need to dive deep into this
For Shanks losing his arm, I thought it would be a neat bit of plot. When Mihawk asks what happens and Shanks says "I bet it on the new generation," what he means in my headcanon is that he was contemplating killing Luffy to get the mythical zoan fruit back. When he starts drowning, Shanks is conflicted because on one hand it would be convenient for Luffy to drown but on the other hand it's super fucked up. My proposition is that you can't just use flow (haki) if you're not sure about what you're doing. So when Shanks saves Luffy, it's an ABSOLUTE last second decision and his haki only works again when he is sure that he means to save Luffy and then glares at the sea king.
My personal headcanon on why Kizaru's abilities aren't consistent with the speed of light is because he's human. Though they are his own abilities and thus don't effect him like they do others, he can't actually handle the full speed of light, so he has to regulate how fast he goes. It could be that there's a risk of his light, or body if he's transformed, refracting out of his control he goes too fast, because his brain can't think fast enough to manage his abilities at those speeds
It's probably that even if he transforms his body entirely into light he still retains his mass, witch probably means that if he were to travel at full light speed it would burn the planet atmosphere. There is a video a watched a few years ago that explains better, about the superman vs flash race in the end of justice league, superman would kill all life on earth because of the speed he was flying.
9:36 when sabo remembered ace, he def would’ve heard about ace, probably slowly recovering his memory but him passing away would be a traumatic event that would trigger his memories into coming back fully
Not too mention adding on Luffy being there, which is a connecting thread, and reading the word Sakazuki even if it is a name which would mean celebration cups... Key memory: Luffy, Ace, and himself drinking Sake cups. All three pieces of information come together at once - unlocks the memory - which creates the chain effect.
I think the thing about zoan awakening is that one must wrestle with the instincts of the zoan, and if they cannot overpower the instinct the instinct will take over entirely and completely drown out the user's consciousness.
Imagine Being the creator of an animator like Oda and watching theories or stuff about your anime and your like "yea yea totally gonna happen. OH SHOOT THEY KNOW! guess ima change this and this and this ok we done here."
For the 5 flying devil fruit one, that may have been intended to be 5 bird df. Kaido cant drown in water because of the fish fish fruit he has, probably gives him the ability to breath under water, the reason it took sabo seeing that to remember was it ace, luffy and sakazuki all together (sakazuki meaning the brother sake cups ceremony), the wg doesnt make the bounties the marines do, i doubt the wg share all their intel. For the lack of info i think thats the point, there is almost no communication between island in the series, so info only really spreads through word of mouth and news coo. The scarfs might only be for mythical zoans and kaido may have not awakened his fruit. The tech is the same as info, stuff only gets spread by people and word of mouth, there is no one piece amazon or walmart where people could get this stuff, haki was a thing pre timeskip, lions song, mantra, (maybe talk in jaya) obviously with sentomaru, shanks ch 1. "why would shanks risk luffy dying and the fruit falling in the wrong hands" bro he probably wanted luffy to die and awaken his powers and it was not possible if luffy was under shanks' protection.
As for the technology in the OP world I find it highly logical. In our interconnected world the access to tech is highly varied, so in a world comprised of islands with world government actively suppressing it, the outcome of certain technology being unaccessible or entirely unknown on many islands sounds right to me.
Doesn't sound right when they technologies you talk about is flying machines and robot compare to freaking sticks. Government isnt right sounding either, who the fuck would put thay kind of effort and into locking out pirates? Its just a stupid kids concept, thats the only explanation.
It is really not that varied, a vast majority of the world has access to a technology at least in some level. And technology application in One Piece really makes zero sense. In a real world the same concept can be used in many different levels. Like electromagnetic waves used by both bluetooth and radar. The same tech used on 2 levels of complexity. Bluetooth used in phones and other devices, available to 90% of the world populaiton, and FIGHTER JETS, which is technology that is not widely available. In the One Piece World you have nothing in between, you go from swords to cybords, from technology that in our world has not been relevant for 3-400 years to technology that isn't even forseen in our near future. That's 500 years of tech development. SO NO, tech makes no sense in One Piece!
@@pleuratkamberi8043 not really , there are isolated islands in this world with access to absolutely zero technology. in that aspect imagine that but on a larger scale

I think the reason for Koby getting strong so quickly is because until timeskip, Luffy wasn't training every single day to become stronger. And I think that Coby spent the majority of his days trying to become stronger. Luffy became stronger when he fought strong enemies. Coby became stronger because he kept training, maybe every single day. Manga spoiler incoming . . . . . . . Furthermore, Garp said that Coby is the future of the Marines, you cannot become that with purely hard work, I am sure he is talented and strong willed as well.

Best comment ever, thanks for the info👍
It's what I got from the Dub. Aside from the little naming eastereggs.
A funny thing is. I actually watched an illegal fansub of that episode. And it had more accurate translations than official ones.
Right? Like Sanji just stopped saying shitty.
@@williamrodriguez7065 his use of kuso doesn't always translate well into English. A literal translation of Sanji's dialog would get really awkward in English, which is why this quirk rarely makes it out of the East Blue. Yeah I think I saw the grandline review say this
Something funny about the first inconsistency is that even Whitebeard said to Shanks: “ What could you possibly have faced in the east blue that cost you your hand?
Also about kaido ,his fruit is not dragon but fish fruit :dragon , and seeing as fish can breathe under water I guess he can breathe but not move
Real life plot hole we suppressed black countries for thousands of years

That's why he didn't.

its not confirmed that kaido can breathe underwater right?
For awakening in Zoan fruit they should die or near to that like Luffy, Lucci, kako , they all have died and after that we saw them alive, ( except Yamato , maybe in childhood he was near to death) when they dead they can reborn withe the live of the animal or creature in the fruit that they have powered by that

It's about 1st one. He can breathe underwater but he'll be stuck/ can't swim
i think kaido wanted to die so he could reincarnate as joy boy. If he drowned in the ocean then his reincarnation would also drown. Thats why he always tried it on land
There's a theory where it explains kaido wanting to die
Simply he wants to awaken his zoan devil fruits

MidPiece
@@funkyow4772why are you here?
@@funkyow4772 how?
Pretty much. Most of these ‘plot holes’ actually make sense if you look part the surface level. The only ones that really make 0 sense is the Haki stuff and the size comparison stuff.
@@Demedich1 That and another glaring plot hole is Shanks' crew not knowing anything about devil fruits when Buggy ate one lmao
About the op fruits:
The hobby fruit user wasn’t actually a child. The fruit stops the aging process.
@@LukeyHew Exactly. It stopped the aging process when she was a kid, so she is still a kid. She is small, weak, slow, and immature.
one piece world is 84 % size of the sun? and they are traveling with a Sailboat max speed prob somewhere like 15 knots? aight . even if that was the case, Kizaru still would have been able to travel around equator in a second 😀
When the crew first encountered Haki the Navy agents said it was a secret technique that most people wouldn't know about.
That’s a really good point, I was of the opinion that, just like in the real world, some people have more advanced tech, medicine, education, weapons etc and some do not due to wealth and capitalism

that doesnt change the fact that he can drown in the sea. technically he still can die from drowning in the sea.

It's a shame... I was expecting a more nuanced argument
Like Shank's arm. That can very well be explained
Why not kill all the fruit's users. It's not a big deal for them
I have 2 options
1- Shanks can talk directly to the gorosei, he asked for protection to Luffy or told them that he is not a menace and would eventually die because he is too reckless, then the Gorosei started to act when he awakened his fruit.
2- The goverment after killing Roger knows the sparks and fire that killing someone charismatic does to a generation, they don´t want that again and waited for luffy to die in the hands of the Shichibukai to don´t make the execution public (Because Morgans does not care about goverment secrets and love to make a good story)

The reason why the government didn’t go after Luffy was with more force was because they underestimated him. @@crushedscouter9522 “they got cocky” happens multiple times throughout the story lmao
Explanations from the top of my head:
20 - Shanks let his arm be cut off (just like roger let his head be cut off in the first page)
19 - the whole gimmick of baroque works was that no one knew each other (unless they were partners)
18 - not a plot hole as you said (OP had bounty hunters like the cactus guy from the colosseum and Zoro himself)
17 - not a plot hole since disinformation and censorship have existed since day 1 (revealing characters 20+ years later is a narrative choice not a plot hole)
16 - databooks aren't accurate (especially for determining height)
15 - not a plot hole just a lack of knowledge/misinformation in the first half of the grand line
14 - like you said, haki balances the primary power system
13 - like you said not a plot hole (Mr. 3 didn't submerged because of a piece of floating wood behind him, seriously look it up)
12 - he wants to die in a grandiose way just like Roger and WB, otherwise he wouldn't try to defend himself while fighting)
11 - not a plot hole (fun fact around the time that I was watching Dressrosa my uncle fell and hit the back of his head leading to him to forget who he was, it happens, he eventually remembered)
10 - not a plot hole since Attach hasn't seen Chopper be more than a pet
9 - not a plot hole just more lack of knowledge/misinformation to the ones that haven't been there (Gatz literary tells the people from Dressrosa what Bellamy did for Doffy)
9 - lack of knowledge due to not having access to that information either because of location or monetary issues + not everyone reads the newspaper (there's people that don't even know about the four emperors btw) + censorship and skepticism exist PS: show me a news coo in Skypiea, Wano, Amazon Lily, Zou, etc.
8 - not a plot hole since Oda always specifies who has awakened their devil fruit
7- even though he read about devil fruits doesn't mean Sanji took all the info as facts to the point that he instantly knew that he had to save Luffy the exact moment that he fell into the water (he was confused)
6 - just like in the real world there's places like tokyo and the amazon forest (little garden vs egghead) + Vivi said that there were places stuck in time PS: Eneru and VP have flying machines
5 - reread chapter 1037 + the navy/warlords/revolutionary army have constantly helped Luffy in getting away from the hands of the WG + he could've been a good warlord in their eyes before Alabasta
4 - zoans are tough (especially mythical ones) + he always had someone or something that preventing him from dying PS: every example you gave was either explained or can be easily justified
3- quick examples: hao can be seen in chapter 1, buso can be seen in post EL, and kenbun can be seen in Alabasta + WB definitely used haki (just like the shooters) and CP9 isn't a top agency (CP0-8 are)
2 - It's called a plot twist 🤷♀ + aside from having his own reasons, Shanks bet on Luffy's success (conversation with WB during post EL) otherwise he would've been his babysitter PS: Luffy doesn't bend reality
1 - not a plot hole since when someone seems to have died doesn't mean they are dead
I can explain each of these in more detail if you want
3rd part haki was used throughout marineford just search examples on youtube
@@yrnkevinsmithC-137 ik, I just wanted to use a few pre-marineford examples because some people think that was the first arc where haki was used 😂

Theory: The reason that the heights are all weird is because Usopp is telling us this story, and he has a penchant for ... embellishment.
The reason that heights are weird is because the author wants to emphasise certain characters in manga panels. That’s it. Nothing else. It’s an artistic choice.

@@lucasnebz4735 you almost got me I thought you were serious

That's a nice theory actually!
Haki is a massive plot hole because oda originally plan the story to end in 5 years
Shanks sacrifice also very stupid
For world government, they can easily sent elite admirals quietly from the start, they didnt need to make announcement out of it lol
Lot of plot hole, fans need to understand that plot hole is very common so stop acting like one piece is superior in this aspect
I kinda agree with the first two however, the latter one is kinda insulting for elite people to just hunt down a rookie wanna be pirate.
@matroska_5625 ace's fight in the manga was him saying, I'll distract him you run along Luffy. Also ace js known to be a Logia merchant
Also Mihawk said any blade can be a black blade when he first met Zoro.
The greatest development achieved Kaku. He got a Zoan-Devil Fruit and just 2 years later he could awaken it! That development is insane.
Now this is a very fair point. He might be the fastest person to get a fruit awakened.
For the haki one,
-Haki can only be learnt by intense training and pushing ones limits. The grand line challenges people, but nearly as much as the new world.
-Marco said whitebeard couldn't use haki at the time because he was in the final stage of cancer
-One of the 6 powers of the CP-9, Iron Body, was actually stated to be Armament Haki by Jimbei in his fight with Who's Who
First point doesnt make sense, haki does need someone to train hard to learn it, but its not related to new world or grand line, luffy was taught haki not by exploring new world or grand line but by being teached by railegh which means that a lot of people would know it just by being trained by someone that knew it, just like some people in wano knew it but they never left their country so people in grand line would already use it.
And Ryuu
I think for number 4 Luffy’s survival can be explained by him being lucky and unknowingly a zoan, and Oda pretty much fleshing out zoans as super resilient in Wano was to close that plot hole a bit.

The inconcistence of the "5 flying devil fruits" can be solved, there´s my theory:
The "Flying devil fruits" may not be refering fruits that allow the user to fly (there are many crative ways to use the fruits, like the fruit of Kuma that just trhow people very very far away, in a way they are "Flying" but this doesn´t make the Kuma´s fruit a "Flying-type"). Instead, the 5 Flying fruits may have other singularity atached.
We know that one of the revolutionary army members owns the karasu fruit that allows him to transform into a flock of crows. It´s a zoan fruit but works like a logia, dividing the user into a group of birds.
If we supouse that every other bird-like zoan fruit has this quirk, but it´s developed only when the fruit is awakening, then we have:
-Pell may awake his fruit while carring the bomb in Alabasta, right before the explosion, alawing he to survive (and fixing une of the most infamous plot holes of the series)
-Morgans use his Albatros-like fruit to control the albatros that he uses to deliver the news trought all across the world
-the revolutionary army member
-Maybe Marco
-?
I´m not counting King´s because is a Ryu-Ryu model of fruit, and the Ryu-Ryu is not a bird-like zoan, making any of their models not "Flying-type" candidates, even if there are models that in the most literal way are "Flying-type" and bird-like fruits (Same logic witj any other model fruit). Neither I´m counting the magician of the Kurohige´s pirates fruit because the power of the fruit is give the user angel wings, just that, not soan and not bird-like (even if the wings of angels are very bird-like).
Then, suposing this theory as true, we may not see yet the last of the 5 flying fruits.

what also could have been meant by that statement is

No matter how many flaws and plot holes are there in one piece , it will still hold a special place in my heart 💛😌
these aren't plot holes, at least most aren't
@@oliverbicanic8517 i agree, these '' plot holes'' are just unexplained or a lack of details areas; and some are not even all that confusing give the anime setting. most of these are open to the understanding of the reader/watcher-- not anybody will think like this guy for what he is saying. and many people will not defiitely think like OP
As for Chopper, the Gorasei probably know he's not just a pet, but being in a small mammal form most of the time it's just easier to classifiy him as one. That or he is still considered one by Celestial Dragon standards seeing as some of their own slaves can be used as "pets" and some probably own giant animals that would dwarf Chopper under normal circumstances.
bro half wrong

A lot of these are more so issues with the series than outright plotholes. You could also explain away many of these issues because of how massive the series is in its scope.
Like WG not going all out on Luffy early on. 1) he is a very smalltime pirate compared to WG. When he "becomes" the murder he actually just transforms back into a standard crow and orders his other crows to spread out
Edit: As it just so happens, today came the One Piece episode in Germany in which the commanders of the Revolutionary Army were introduced.

Beeathing under water would then be a devil fruit Power of His so it would get cancelled
I think that plothole was pretty much resolved when it was revealed that kaido ate the uo uo no mi and not a straight up dragon fruit.
yeah for real. He has the fish fish fruit. You can't drown a fish.
So the dragon form is his awakening?
is anyone gonna talk about how at 18:17 when he says "Conqueror's Haki" it shows up as Observation Haki?
I think the reason Kaido didn’t just throw himself into the sea, is because of a similar reason to, “Jack” who somehow sat at the bottom of the ocean for hours?
Pretty sure at some point it was stated that a swordsmith worked on enma to make it so Odin's daughter could wield it
Yeah, the one with tengu mask said he recorded them for Zoro and momo, hiyori gave her to Zoro btw
Also for plot hole 12, I've been theorizing for awhile that since kaido has the mythical fish fish fruit model "azure dragon" not the dragon dragon or lizard lizard fruit, he will have some unique interaction with the water. This could be why he couldn't kill himself in the water, or it will give him the ability to "swim" in some other sense in order to return to the story later on
what is bro theorizing he just wont die oda answred it long time ago
@@שגיאאדרי-ו4צ source?

Poor implications

The reason why zoro is able to wield enma is because the legendary sword was melted down to fit its next heir, which was supposed to be momonosuke
Hiyori not Momonosuke

I mean, without his kind personality Luffy would never gone that far)
And about awakened Zoan. Chopper's is forced, not by a Haki(will of reindeer), but of science, hence why no rings are there. As for Impel Down.... who said you cannot tear it away to make them dumb?😈😈

Small error here Ohara

So when Shanks saves Luffy, it's an ABSOLUTE last second decision and his haki only works again when he is sure that he means to save Luffy and then glares at the sea king.
makes sense

I'm pretty sure that Enma was altered so that Momo and Hiyori could use it in the future
