I have seen those impact machines, I forget the exact name, but it was an antique, probably over100 year-old at least, it was ran by an old hit and miss motor and was used to compact the ground
Wen I was working as a laborer for the US Navy at the Naval base at Coronado, CAe we used a device similar to that which we called a Whacker. The metal (steel or Aluminum had a smaller footprint than the one shown in the video, but it did a very good job of pounding the dirt fill when we refilled a trench which we had previously dug and now had to refill.
I remember, it's almost 30 years ago. When I was a child I thought it was a good idea to make kaka when the train is somewhere on a train station... 🤦♂️
In the "town" of Toronto?!? Dude. It is the fourth most populous city in North America. Only three spots behind Mexico City. Ok, now that I've got that off my chest, love your content. Lol
Putting solar panels under trains is an asinine idea. Place solar panels on an awning 3 to 10 times the width of the rail and the entire length of the line and produce 3 to 10 times the amount of power.
Click bait?..

That device is used to compact the earth. This gives you a more solid foundation to build upon or in this case using it to make roads stronger.
