This run reminded me of one of the most fun aspects of nuzlockes - getting to use Pokemon you wouldn't usually use and maybe making some new favorites along the way. (For this run it was Altaria😊)
Something that puts FlygonHG above most content creators for me is his constant growth. Not just with how production quality has risen since his first videos, and with how much better he's gotten at the game itself, but character growth. He seems much more confident now. He's much less self-depreciating, is kinder to himself with misplays, and just seems to have more fun in general.
I think being self deprecating can be just as good! But I think you have to balance it and realize that sometimes you dumb moments are smart moments in a few attempts

I normally don’t like runs that aren’t “legal” in the game, but this was actually pretty cool to see a randomized selection of mons, but not a complete cluster of doing a fully randomized ‘locke
To be fair, it is possible, just not in this game. If you want to do it completely legit, you can do it in swsh or bdsp. I've low-key thought about it.

1:31 Pokemon Go still has events in my tiny hometown in New Hampshire, and my mom just got into Pokemon for the first time because of it, so I'd say the magic's still there. Loved this run, always glad to see some Xatu appreciation haha.

Also I have a suggestion for the pokemon go challenge, limit yourself in some way and catch pokemon that way: for example, only pokemon caught while grocery shopping in the next X weeks. It would be easy to set up, and would still probably offer you enough variety to actually have enough pokemon to play with.

im a little late to this one but extremely good video. youre by far my favorite nuzlocker. i think the pokemon GO integration was really unique. with nuzlockes, one of the driving factors behind it is "you name your pokemon and if they die they die" so it's almost more personal, like you have a bond with them so you play super careful. i think pokemon GO compounds this feeling seeing as how you had to actually go out in the real world and catch these mons. especially on a nice vacation. there may (or may not) be more sentimental value with these pokemon which makes it that much more special. keep up the great work, would love to see more like this

Eläköön Hame, paras lohikäärme! I love this concept for a run, with a small number of effectively random Pokemon to use instead of the typical encounters or even a randomiser. How was your trip to Finland? My cousin married a Finn and moved to Jyväskylä a few years ago.
This is an awesome concept, I think one way to make this more interesting (if you where to ever do this again), is maybe do first 2 encounters in cities to give you more encounter variation for the routes
Fun(?)/cool fact, Reykjavik is named after the "Reykjavik confessions that happened in 1974 which was a case about 5 people being held in solitary confinement for over a year for most people and being tortured based on a murder they were forced to admit to, also fun fact, Iceland has about 1-3 murders a year.
Man you come up with the neatest challenge ideas, this one was a blast and you played it super well. Now that I've finished watching I would like to once again recommend a "No Same Type Moves (Including Status)" challenge for any game. I did Emerald without the game corner banned, so a run of that without game corner usage might be fun.

I lost my Sawsbuck in the final fight against Hugh, (Mr. Poo) and I was so pissed off because I had a cute little romance in my head between Sawsbuck and Zebstrika. I had to eventually replace him with a Metagross, which was fine, but it gave me two Steel Types with both Aggron and Metagross (I felt like Steven)

To think you celebrate your vacation with more work, that said, i liked the concept. I liked seeing how useful Rampardos was, I wanted to use one on platinum but all the enemies had a fighting type move and his signature head smash is suicide without rock head. Also, you were so unfaithful to flygon with altaria in this run XD.
These videos are soooo freaking good. After watching your nuzlockes, I have learned so much and started making strategies and synergies between moves, abilities and other stuff. Cooking up strategies is the best part of these nuzlockes no doubt. These challenges are very fun and informative to watch
Imagine fusing three of the strongest draconic legendaries into one terrifying abomination, and then watching as this harbinger of death and destruction gets pummeled by two funky beams from a cloud bird.
Rampartrode would have the following base stats, if we average the stats of the two (using their Gen V stats, of course). You can choose whether it would round up or down or a mix. 78.5 HP 107.5 Attack 65 Defense 72.5 Special Attack 65 Special Defense 99 Speed Base Stat Totals: 489 if all round up 486 if all round down Congrats! It's... It sure is a Pokemon.
This was fun to watch and seeing Altaria and Electrode be so top tier was fun. Both usually get a lot of (deserved) hate and seeing them be so integral was really cool. I love this idea because varied and unusual encounters make runs more exciting.
I'm currently doing a soullock of B2 and W2 with a friend of mine. I messed it up against Marshal and lost a pokemon. So my friend sent in his flygon (the soulmate of the pokemon) against Iris as a sack. But somehow that flygon got a complete sweep. You have to admit: That flygon died in style!
I recently did my first nuzlocke of White 2 and I also played it on Hardcore Challenge Mode to see how far I can push myself. I ended up beating it, with only 3 deaths, 2 of which were in Victory Road and the third one was to Iris, but that one was necessary for setup. My Hall Of Fame team was Crustle (who died to Iris' Hydreigon after setting up Stealth Rocks to break her Haxorus' Focus Sash), Bisharp, Mienshao, Haxorus, Starmie and Braviary. One thing that I learned from this experience is just how disgustingly OP Haxorus is. After sacrificing Crustle to setup Stealth Rocks, I sent in Haxorus who managed to OHKO Iris' Hydreigon, Druddigon, Lapras (by using Superpower) and her own Haxorus (with -1 in attack after the Superpower), after which Bisharp took care of her Archeops and Starmie took care of Aggron. This was definitely one of my favorite nuzlockes to date.
This was a very fun challenge to watch, and your photos were lovely :) Thank you for always making such fun videos, they never fail to bring a smile to my face.

Dr Matti I have a good idea for a run!! You should combine your fundraiser=death runs with Pokemon Go, kinda like when we would do fundraisers for school back in the day where every lap around the track raised money (anyone else do this??). You could set a goal for every encounter and just go somewhere random in your area as a way to integrate more Go content without having to travel! You could also do it in a way where a fundraising goal equals a death and the only way for you to get an encounter to make up for it is walk a mile or--idk something in this wheelhouse, theres lots of possibilities you're smart you could figure something out. Maybe even use Pokemon Go as a way to engage viewers? Like you could have people in chat catch one for you and share their loose location, and then Uncle Jim can trade it over to your console or something. At the end there could be a map of all of the viewers and what they caught. I kinda like this idea better but I'm just spitballing here lol. Loved the video as always hope you had fun on your trip!
Really wild concept for a nuzlocke, it ended up being very engaging. I wish you included some more photos of your holiday, specifically the places you ended up catching your mons. Apparently the places you visited are quite beautiful.
This is honestly one of the weirdest teams I've ever seen in Pokemon LPs. Pokemon almost nobody likes, a memelord AND an Altaria (Since I, for one, love the fluffy thing). They honestly managed a lot better than I had expected!!

I recently did my first nuzlocke of White 2 and I also played it on Hardcore Challenge Mode to see how far I can push myself.
I ended up beating it, with only 3 deaths, 2 of which were in Victory Road and the third one was to Iris, but that one was necessary for setup. My Hall Of Fame team was Crustle (who died to Iris' Hydreigon after setting up Stealth Rocks to break her Haxorus' Focus Sash), Bisharp, Mienshao, Haxorus, Starmie and Braviary. One thing that I learned from this experience is just how disgustingly OP Haxorus is. After sacrificing Crustle to setup Stealth Rocks, I sent in Haxorus who managed to OHKO Iris' Hydreigon, Druddigon, Lapras (by using Superpower) and her own Haxorus (with -1 in attack after the Superpower), after which Bisharp took care of her Archeops and Starmie took care of Aggron. This was definitely one of my favorite nuzlockes to date.
This is a creative video! I play more Pokemon Go and was surprised how you mixed it with Pokemon White 😄

So glad we got to se Altaria shine. It's my favourite pokemon, but most people seem to dismiss it in nuzlockes.

Dr Matti I have a good idea for a run!! You should combine your fundraiser=death runs with Pokemon Go, kinda like when we would do fundraisers for school back in the day where every lap around the track raised money (anyone else do this??). You could set a goal for every encounter and just go somewhere random in your area as a way to integrate more Go content without having to travel! You could also do it in a way where a fundraising goal equals a death and the only way for you to get an encounter to make up for it is walk a mile or--idk something in this wheelhouse, theres lots of possibilities you're smart you could figure something out. Maybe even use Pokemon Go as a way to engage viewers? Like you could have people in chat catch one for you and share their loose location, and then Uncle Jim can trade it over to your console or something. At the end there could be a map of all of the viewers and what they caught. I kinda like this idea better but I'm just spitballing here lol. Loved the video as always hope you had fun on your trip!

This is honestly one of the weirdest teams I've ever seen in Pokemon LPs. Pokemon almost nobody likes, a memelord AND an Altaria (Since I, for one, love the fluffy thing). They honestly managed a lot better than I had expected!!
