@@beverleymorris167 you're not the first to say this but in this instance you're wrong, he was wasnt 100% and had an interrupted prep and any other time he wouldn't have run but he wasn't getting any younger, brad(graham bradley) was gutted for the horse and what might have been 😔

He reminded me of one man ..king George winner, who over the gold cup distance.. emptied on the run in. Perhaps they should have gone for the champion chase, as they did with one man. A fast run 2 miles in the champion chase, may have been the answer. Though I don't think the horse liked Cheltenham, as I stated, he never won at Cheltenham, and not just the gold cup.

Fantastic wee horse small in stature but had the heart of a lion. As someone else said there greed on the owners part got the mare killed. In the French Champion Hurdle she fell and broke her neck.
Bit of excessive use of the whip there.love to smack him in the neck a few times with it.greed got this great mare killed when she broke her leg after this. What a fabulous horse she was

He couldn't stay the gold cup distance at Cheltenham, he was a bit like one man, didn't get up the hill in gold cup. If he had, dawn run wouldn't have won as at the last fence he had her cold!!!!

Sir Peter O-Sullivan,made numerous comments,as to her shocking mistakes, especially at the 3-rd Last Fence. Wayward Lad,was like a homing Pigeon,and had it in the bag. She would not be denied

She was never a chaser in Wayward Lads class as a jumper. She should have been retired that day.
