The story with the "baby girlfriend" was terrifying bc the possibility of this being actually the mother who sees her child as an annoying grown up. I wouldn't have thought that was a mental health issue of the writer unless someone in the comments had pointed out.

@@muslimahsharing4761 You have to keep in mind Korea isn't as big on mental health awareness as Western spaces. So while we have a lot of reasons she could be acting like that; from age regression, to trauma, to dissociation to post partum psychosis... it's... not viewed the same over there. So, no, not any grown up would take them to a psychiatrist. If anything they'd try to keep it as secret as possible due to Korean's views of not 'making waves' or embarrassing them. The woman IS struggling mentally, 100%. But they don't have the same spaces we do to be able to do something better about it, which is very sad because so many have issues that don't get taken seriously.

We're not that big on mental health in eastern Europe either (depends on the amount of exposure to western culture and education) so I understand your point.
If it's something like the OP suffering from postpartum psychosis, maybe the family would choose to handle it behind closed doors, i don't really know.
Still, if it's something going on with an actual adult girlfriend that OP has known in the past, the behaviour sounds so outlandish, so strange... wouldn't there at least be someone bringing up the option of therapeutic/psychiatric care? It would be more difficult to put in practice bc there's everyone's families priorities and taboo topics to take into account, but I still imagine conversations about it taking place.

for the baby gf, it sounds as if she's someone who age regresses as coping mechanism. some people cope with stress or trauma by regressing to a younger age, in this case a toddler. regardless, it's something that should be checked out by a professional since it looks like she can't properly take care of herself (and it's causing distress on others)

For the first story, I come from a Hispanic household and no one EVER questions letting someone sleep in a bed whether it’s the master bedroom or guest. More so if the person is very tired, it’s respectful to us to let them sleep. If it’s a family member we always let them sleep but that’s my culture. yeah i agree i don’t see the issue but it’s also okay for the husband to have that boundary esp if his cleaning is somewhat related to a mental illness like ocd. i just don’t see why it became such a big fight. the husband should’ve just aired his grievances then they could sit down to talk about the boundaries regarding the topic & move on. it’s clearly just a misunderstanding over a difference in opinion so it’s moreso concerning to me that they couldn’t come to a resolution on their own & that the husband couldn’t express his anger in a more mature way

FYI when you're having a foot/ leg cramp, a sure fire away to get rid of it is to stand up, lift your heel off the ground as if you're 8" in stilettos and push the balls of your feet into the floor but keep everything relaxed. Hold that position until it goes away. Works every time. ☺️

    1. I kinda understand why the wife would be to blame if the husband is the type to get super triggered for the bed thing. But I also think he’s a weirdo! Poor brother in law came to visit them after travelling for so long and he couldn’t even give him the courtesy of saying hello, he’s an asshole no doubt.
And the people on the comments taking his side claiming it’s a “wife’s duty to respect her husband” what about the husband respecting the wife? They could have at least talked it out in private.

So if anyone even sits on my bed or my chair or touches my stuff it freaks me out triggers me so much coz now i have to clean it all. When it comes to bed that means a lot of work(changing the sheets and pillow covers washing and if there is a duvet then that adds a whole new level of difficulty). I wouldn't be rude like the husband and pretend like nothing happened coz its very common in my culture to sleep on on other peoples bed but i would have probably cried after the guests left coz it is mentally exhausting.
