You have to pick something and stick with it, because juggling things for the sake of wanting something different hinders your ability to be the very best at that one thing, but if you’re switching between fields and careers constantly, the level of prestige at which you can achieve in those are mediocre at best

That’s all I’m writing. All I’m sayin’ is if you’re still in Elementary.. take advantage of it. Start an illegal trade/selling business. Stay sly and stay outta the teachers way.

This is beautiful. Something so amazing, but so elusive because no one would think of doing something so specific as this. It's a form of history and art... And it is amazing. Never stop adding on. Some day we may even find a special pigment that has never been used, so specific that you'd have to be looking for it or have it to even know it exists.

I'm actually trying to become a 2D/3D animator someday and would love to work on a more history oriented project, a good example is a assassins creed-Esc cartoon movie or show that tells a fictional story in a non-fictional setting that teaches you something you would have never known about the history of the stories setting/location. Sorry, I went on a tangent there. As I was saying, Art is a form of history, history is as much art as art is history. They are both worth protecting and striving to learn more about. Yeenosaur I imagine it is easy to do but rather the rarity of a farmer actually doing so that makes it such a rare pigment. Just because it's an easy process doesn't mean it would be a common one in the slightest.
perhaps because mummies are easily accessible? There are vast collections of mummified skin and bandages in all kinds of archives. Not endless, obviously, but enough to give you a stock of pigment. To create the yellow you would have to go out of your way to do the whole process by scratch. I think that's the reason, at least..
It would probably take a whole lot of urine to dry it down to make a significant amount of the pigment, especially if there are any treatments that need to be done to it after drying. The urine also has to be collected and processed etc which all takes labor. If there's not much demand for the pigment then there wouldn't be many people willing to go through all those steps to produce it just for the sake of having something rare

Some of the yellow pigments are showing up very pixelized on my tablet. I've never seen that before on any of my devices. I wonder if it's the video or just my tablet. Did anyone else experience this on their device?
One of the things that comes to mind is "Warbreaker" by Brandon Sanderson. Color is so important to that world's civilization, magic, religion, basically a big chunk of the worldbuilding comes down to color. Also I'd like to see someone of the First Heightening look over these.

perhaps because mummies are easily accessible? There are vast collections of mummified skin and bandages in all kinds of archives. Not endless, obviously, but enough to give you a stock of pigment. To create the yellow you would have to go out of your way to do the whole process by scratch. I think that's the reason, at least..
It would probably take a whole lot of urine to dry it down to make a significant amount of the pigment, especially if there are any treatments that need to be done to it after drying. The urine also has to be collected and processed etc which all takes labor. If there's not much demand for the pigment then there wouldn't be many people willing to go through all those steps to produce it just for the sake of having something rare

Some of the yellow pigments are showing up very pixelized on my tablet. I've never seen that before on any of my devices. I wonder if it's the video or just my tablet. Did anyone else experience this on their device?

One of the things that comes to mind is "Warbreaker" by Brandon Sanderson. Color is so important to that world's civilization, magic, religion, basically a big chunk of the worldbuilding comes down to color.
