0:42 through 1:00 is definitely the portion that is used on some episodes of The Price Is Right
Sir Will Pitts can you upload the CBS Evening News Headline Theme 2016 please? I am searching for that.
For the showcases
I like it!
I just noticed that! I thought I was going crazy! I love this!!
I thought THIS sounded familiar. When this showcase song comes on I actually hum it lol

Sounds like snippets of the NBC theme he wrote in the 1990s and TPIR Showcase theme.....
Yep, this is played on Price. Kalehoff himself composed the 1994 TPIR cues, and of course did NBR and MNF.
He also did the Eyewitness Primetime theme for WJBK in Detroit.
And he composed the theme to the 1986-1989 CBS run of Card Sharks.
Oh yeah, they use it sometimes on TPIR when a car is being introduced in one of the showcases!
exactly what I thought!
i think they even used it to bring a segue out in a showcase.
It was a remixed version for the show.
Do they still use that cue on The Price Is Right.

Apparently it's not called Grandeur, it's called Essential News.
I hear it on the price is right when they show new cars in the showcase
