Man I forgot how much nicer Mustang was in Brotherhood compared to 2003. He was actually strict and a little intimidating before, with Ross getting nervous answering him.
03 mustang also has PTSD you can tell war really changed him forever, thats what i really miss in brotherhood, like he just acts normal like war didnt influence him at all
@@pisces2569 in his case it does, he acts more cold and harsh and has a suicidal thoughts at some point. Brotherhood Mustang acts like he never been to war
@@-kenjo-421 I'm going to be honest I hate it when people say that Mangahood Mustang wasn't affected by the horrors he saw in Ishbal. If he wasn't, he would never have gone on his character arc of wanting to become leader of Amestris in the first place. He's affected by it in a way that only fuels his desire and ambitions to become ruler rather than let himself be shut down by PTSD like his 03 counterpart does.
he thing is, in 03 his ptsd is constantly revisited. It's something you clearly understand is fueling his every action. In brotherhood it comes off as a backstory that explains how he got here. It's not given the same degree of focus. Which is a constant issue in general with the manga. It has these greater themes but is so focused on its plot it starts to feel more like it was a creative accident
2003 ver was a great story while it was inaccurate it still had some amazing parts to it. I think the twist I like best was that what ed and al made when they tried to revive there mother it reappeared later with the other homunculi
les deux versions de fma sont excellentes avec leurs points forts et leurs points faibles :) elles se regardent toutes les deux de façon indépendante sans nécessairement les comparer :)
I forget. Did Armstrong's words even go anywhere as far as Mustang is concerned? For Mangahood, Armstrong's words lead to Maria Ross being convicted of Hughes death, but I feel like nothing ever comes from 2003.
In 03 Mustang figured out that somebody higher up in military command was covering up the murders because otherwise Armstrong would have told him what info he had.
Nah. Both are great in their own ways and neither is worse than the other. Overal FMA wouldn't be as famous if not for the 2003 anime. 2003 is an amazing character study and has more intimate personal story. Brotherhood has grander story and better action. Brotherhood kinda butchered its introduction though due to show runners assuming that you have either read the manga or seen 2003 version. It rushes through character development in order to get to the new stuff that wasn't seen in 2003 and for that the first half of the series really suffers.
Props to Travis Willingham for pulling it off in every version.
Twice
It's unreasonable how much I laugh at Mustang's blunt, point-blank "dump her."
When Jean didn't dump her
Roy burned her
Love that little pat on the back from Hawkeye at 1:27. She knows Mustang's a slave driver!!

@@-kenjo-421i don’t think that’s the case. 2009 Mustang also had PTSD. PTSD doesn’t turn you into a jerk

His voice is so deep 🥰🥰🥰
Definitely prefer the more serious tone of 03.

I like his voice in 2003, but his character in Brotherhood is the best
You know you're in a bad situation when Hawkeye tries to comfort you
DUMP HER
hahaha😂

Poor Havoc. XD
je trouve qu'il est quand même bien mieux dessiné dans la version 2003, il est plus beau^^
Ha ? Perso je le préfère dans Brotherhood sur ce point là xD
Ep?? Plz
1:18 XD
Poor guy
03 Mustang was alright,Mangahood Mustang is arguably the goat.
I personally like 09 mustang voice more
It just fits him well
Travis voicing is just incredible either way
Mustang is the perfect example of " YOU DON'T CROSS THE BOSS ".
that girl havoc was dating was lust do i remember this right?
The one that Mustang told Havoc to break up with wasn't her. But after they transferred, it was her that he was dating. So you're correct.
No, the girl Mustang ordered him to dump was from before he transferred to Central. Havoc dated Lust after transferring to Central.

Bit of a stupid question: which clips are from Brotherhood and which ones are from the original anime?
So the first clip was from Brotherhood the one that was adapted later the second clip was from the 2003 the one.
I'm a 2003 girl. Didn't care for Brotherhood at all.
Eh???! You mean just Roy here right? It would be crazy if you really didn't care for Brotherhood's story.
I love brotherhood including brotherhood roy
1:24 roy: dump her.
Wouldn’t it be crazy cewl if the uploader replied to this comment?
Oof
People really just total fanboys for the 03 series, its literally inferior in every way, youd think it was a masterpiece how people talk about it.
What's it like being totally irony blind?
Both are decent imo
It is a masterpiece, though, just because Brotherhood is great for different reasons doesn't negate how good '03 is

Really I feel its the opposite. Brotherhood gets all the attention while 03 is unfairly in the shadows. They both have merits and weaknesses.
