Tour La Sal del Rey!

La Sal del Rey, just north of Edinburg, is the site of a large salt lake and was South Texas's main source of vital salt during the Civil War. In addition to seasoning, salt was the chief means of preserving meat and fish. Around once a year, the lake has a distinctly pink hue to it. Take a look!
