You need to send a maniac to catch a maniac in 1993's Demolition Man. Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes are a great action duo here as they bounce one-liners and punches off each other at a rapid pace. Nostalgia will definitely factor in a lot with older audiences but even with fresh eyes, the film has plenty to offer. Sandra Bullock, Dennis Leary and Rob Schneider play great supporting characters with plenty of great lines being delivered throughout the movie. Even though it can certainly get a bit campy at times and some of the action doesn't hold up the best, Demolition Man is really ahead of its time with some solid social commentary and a pretty humorous take on a so-called "perfect" future society.

The beatbox part is pure gold.
The most underrated action movie ever! It’s pure 90’s bad ass fun. Stallone and Snipes kick ass! I would watch this movie any day over crap like Fast and Furious or Uncharted.

Demolition Man is a masterpiece. It’s a perfect Segway into Judge Dredd that also has Sly Stallone and Rob Schneider.
Your "Simon Phoenix Rap" was worth the price of admission.
I have watched Demolition Man and I really love Slyvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes. They are one of my favorite Action Stars 90s. I was surprised that Wesley played a badass Villian. It was awesome Action Movie.

This was, is, and likely shall forever be a favorite of mine. It's not perfect by any measure, but it's fun, dang it. Chalk full of glorious one liners and snarky dialouge, with a surprisingly deep exploration of what it means to pursue anything in pure excess and zero critical thinking.
..Plus it has Stallone pummeling the villain with a telivision set being swung like a flail. What's not to love?
Demolition man was always on tv when I was a kid. It's a guilty pleasure.
Fun fact about Westley on this shoot- he was such a fast martial artist they had to ask him to SLOW DOWN his kicks because they were so fast they were having difficulty catching them on film. Mind blown.
It was good. I still joke about rat burgers🤭 I also still do the hand circle high five. But has anyone noticed how diverse the 90's were with films unforced?

The passion seeps through Adam. I only watched this once a long time ago and for whatever reason it didn't do it for me. But after watching this I'm going to watch it again.

I love this movie. Classic 90s action. I ate at the Planet Hollywood in Orlando along time ago and we sat near the Demolition Man frozen Stallone. It legit had public hair and grossed me and my sister out. Stallone actually came in while we were there and he was like 4 ft tall and shattered my impression I had of him from watching movies

Interesting .... In USA its Taco Bell, but in europe, since there was no taco bell around, it was dubbed by the actors as "Pizza Hut", everytime Taco Bell word was coming.
I actually think this has aged better compared to Speed, but this movie is a perfect example of what Hollywood use to be, it's not really taking a conservative or liberal side, it's more of a warning about giving up your freedom and allowing the government to run your life. It actually did make a case for why people should own guns which would never happen in a movie today.
"you can't take away people's right to be assholes" ...that's exactly what many of us say, to all the MOFOS that want to censor social media....

Your extended sound effect and fight choreography recreation segments are one of my favorite parts.
This movie passes my creatiria. I can watch it at least three in my life and it holds after three years of being made.

Adam writers back in the day knew how to write a screenplay with social commentary without being preachy and still making the movie fun. That’s what movies are supposed to be fun escapism.
But writers today have forgotten that. I mean really did all the great screenwriters just retire after the year 2010?
