Hey guys the Fire Brothers here and today we have some surprising news for the Transformers X G.I Joe movie, Lorenzo has spoken about what characters he is currently planning on adding for the movie alongside a few interesting details for what we could expect to see. So it looks like the Maximals might not be part of the upcoming Transformers movie, Mirage, Bumblebee and Optimus Prime are so far the only ones slatted to reappear for the Transformers X G.I Joe movie. We got confirmation that we are going to have a smaller roster this time around, alongside a smaller scale plot that will deal with more internal human issues. There are a lot of details going around as the movie is currently being made and we could potentially see production begin as early as next year, while I'm not particularly knowledgeable on a lot of G.I Joe characters and I still think the crossover is a bad idea... things are honestly looking up, the main idea behind the movie seems to be the ideal one. Tbh I feel like the Autobots from ROTB are bound to be featured as well as Ratchet, Ironhide and Brawn respectively. And for the Decepticons, Megatron, Starscream, Shockwave and Soundwave are a given as well as Thundercracker and Skywarp. As much as I love GI Joe as a standalone property, trying to cross it over with Transformers is turning a small scale story into a complete mess of which characters to keep and which chracters to scrap.

Even better, a prequel set centuries before BBM and ROTB, with the Maximals and hopefully Predacons as the mains. Then, a sequel later, before Unicron comes to Earth fully, once and for all.

Honestly the Beast Wars Characters were the only thing I was giving this the benefit of the doubt. But since that doesn’t look like the case, I’m not sure about this
I feel if the maximals aren’t mentioned it would be a bit weird and confusing.
It’s just a NEST replacement that might be better fleshed out.
I don't know about G.I. Joe either, but from what I understand, like Transformers, it came out in the 1980s (the cartoon anyway; think the toyline was around since 1964 ish). With ROTB being in '94, this crossover could have COBRA aim to restore the USSR, or infiltrate it, and then use them in an effort to help the Decepticons or something like that. Might make for an interesting film.

Honestly, I have hope. Smaller scale is closer to Bumblebee which is what we all want, so I'll take what I can get. I have a wishlist for characters I want to see in future movies though.

What I'm not happy about is that the Maximals aren't returning, and Unicron isn't in it.
Well, you remember in the old 1980s cartoon that they made a sort of G.I. Joe crossover in the third season with Romeus prime and all that fun stuff were all the transformers turned to humans well I say all but I mean RC ultra madness, Springer and Radamus prime I don’t know about it at the moment but they did a semi-good job with it that we might actually have a sort of good thing going on here. I just hope that they don’t mess this up.
It kinda makes since the maximal s aren’t there they stayed in their Peru so they could be on there mission idk

They did a G.I. Joe-ish crossover in the third season of the 1980s cartoon where they turned rodimus prime springer ultra Magnus and arcee into humans. it was an OK episode but like you said in order for transformers to succeed, this needs to be a outstanding movie not just an OK movie

So Megatron does exist in the universe, we just haven't seen him. Closest thing we have of him is his Studio Series Concept Art toy

I personally can't wait for the cross I wanted the bayverse to cross with gi Joe, so this happening is isnae to me keep it like the comics tho cuz this cross is not a new concept transformers has crossed with alot. More action and more depth to them rather than try to cram a bunch of characters into one and not have a proper scene
@@alecwebb288 I guess, but many other movies have been able to make interesting characters with more than 6 characters, it feels like they're playing it just a little to safe. Especially since they'll be reusing characters, they don't need as limited of a cast to flush them out, since they've already been partly characterized in the previous film.

So is this film going to be the second in the trilogy or will it be more of a spin off?
I ask because if its the second film in the trilogy it needs to be bigger and have characters like Megatron and the other Decepticons. Otherwise it will be pretty underwhelming and messy to go from a massive film, to a small scale film with barely any characters, to a massive film that ends off the universe.
Plus it would be a waste to have humans and lesser known villains in the next film and then go back to Unicron.
If Paramount want this Transformers universe to be big and as popular as others theyre going to have to have us spend more time in it rather than having a Bumblebee movie, a trilogy and then calling it a day.
I also think they need to address where the other Autobots are so that it makes sense for them to not help out.
And (finally) as much as a smaller cast sounds great, we do need to see new Autobots in the films to gain the hype. One of the best parts about the build up to these films is finding out which Autobots are going to be in it, seeing their vehicle modes, and eagerly awaiting any form of look into what they are going to look like in the film. So we need that again otherwise theres going to be next to zero hype for this next film.
(And they need to sort their marketing out but thats another story altogether)
All of Bay movies had military working with Autobots. Gi Joe with Transformers is literally that. I think it could work. Plus seeing Starscream with Cobra Commander would be cool.

I wasn’t against a G.I Joe Crossover film but I was against for how early they were gonna do it until what Lorenzo said. I don’t trust the writer tho.
So… I’m gonna say for now that I’m just going to focus on Transformers One before thinking about the G.I. Joe crossover with Transformers.
However, I will say that I feel like if Hasbro wants to make a cinematic universe based on their toys, I think they should’ve focused on these franchises individually. Like, the MCU focused on individual characters before they crossed over to become The Avengers.
If they gave Transformers and G.I. Joe individual movies first before crossing over, then I would be on board. Don’t get me wrong, I still want this to work, but I just feel like they missed out on doing individual movies before crossing over.

I honestly hope we're not getting only 6 main characters. I want at least 4 Autobots, some Decepticons (finally) who aren't dumb cannon-fodder like _some_ movieverses.....cough, and at least 3 Joes even tho Idc abt G.I. Joe. Oh, and Noah is 100% a main character alongside the Autobots! I like Noah alot. If there were 4 Autobots, then we can have Optimus, Mirage, Bee, and Arcee again. Arcee should be identical to her ROTB design, Bumblebee identical to his early-ROTB design (before getting off-road parts), Optimus would be identical (but without off-road parts, this time), and Mirage would be slightly, slightly more beefed out; not too far off from the design used on the thumbnail.
I just want the ABSOLUTE best for the sequel cuz BBM and ROTB were awesome and awesomely amazing and we deserve a good sequel! I do hope TF3, even if we _have_ to have a crossover is really good!
Edit: And, finally, Megatron's GRAND and GLORIOUS proper appearance!! He won't die, fyi. Starscream, Soundwave, Thundecracker, and Skywarp should be there too. None of them die.

Edit 2: Counting up all the characters I mentioned, that'll be 13 characters (in total)! Thats actually pretty doable, especially in comparison to something like the Bayverse that had like 20 main human characters, 5-7 Autobots, and 4-6 main Decepticons. Not to mention all the unnecessary human characters. So yea, its doable.
Even if theres some Cobra characters, that'll still be abt 20 characters, absolute max. My point still stands.

I hope they do the cobra and Decepticon alliance cuz if not the autobots and GI. Joe will be overpowered. And I want to see Jazz or an actual Wheeljack, and I want the Decepticons to be Starscream, Soundwave, and someone else.

At the very least, he speaks through movie quotes AND the radio, trying to form proper phrases/sentences, etc. He could use movie quotes for fun and for certain situations, but mostly he merges and splices movie quotes and radio clips.

Like (e.g.), from "I've come here to kick ass" and "Don't call it a comeback!" (which in ROTB, he definitely was the one who played it actually in-universe, lets be real. lol)
