This video is to share my journey through the placement process at NIFT after completing my Master’s in Fashion Management, graduating in 2024. In this video, I’ll walk you through every step from start to finish, giving you an insider's look at how everything happens.
I’ll share my real experiences-the highs, the lows, and everything in between. But this video is not to scary you, if you're determined to carve out a career in fashion, you can absolutely make it. Just take a few notes from my journey and learn from what I have to say.

Being an ex student of nift ...i can tell you that you are so brave ..but i have a doubt ..why online job...i mean you got better options when comes to design &textiles ,or apparel,Vm ..etc...🤨..

Yes, this information would have been helpful if i knew it before, so wanted to help students who are coming in. And anyways, denying the reality doesn’t help much.🙉
Also; I didn’t pursue design. I pursued fashion management, so my options were mostly in merchandising, buying and marketing. And wfh works great for me, since I can continue my content creation as well.

Hey Di thank you so much for this reality check. I'll take it as a disclamer and work hard. I got nift varanasi for bdes..please guid me if I should take it or go for any pvt college bcz I don't wanna take drop

My parents aren't allowing me to take drop this year i got textile design so can i study textile design and later be fashion designer can I divert my field in future... please reply

1st year for graduation is the Foundation Programme, where all the students are taught the basics of design. Then beginning of second year; you’ll be doing your picked course. After that you can go for SPT if you’ve good grades.
NIFT has a procedure called SPT (Student Permanent Transfer) which allows students to change centres and/or courses permanently after the end of the 2nd semester.
The formalities for this process will start once you enter into your 2nd semester and requires you to give your name and the centre or department you want to transfer too.
However, only a lucky few are transfered because it depends on your marks, which should be really good and secondly your chosen centre or course must have a vacancy for you to avail it.

Uh I am not sure for other courses. You can connect with the bachelors students on linkedin and ask them, they’d be happy to help. If i talk about MFM, any laptop would be great.
