Add a styler cream with heat protection before, after style, add hair oil mixed with a blow dry serum, then add hair spray. Your hair will last for days (don’t wash). It’s never about the tool, it’s about your hair type, products and the environment and whatever activities you’re doing (your hair will not survive if you go biking outside when its windy and humid). I think a lot of people are super lazy when it comes to wanting their hair to remain a certain style while using the least amount of effort (hoping a tool will do all of it). I get it but it takes a bit of effort. Use a dry hair spray that’s light. Avoid drug store brands unless it’s Joico or something.

im still trying to figure this tool out but lately it's only been holding for 5 hours max :( will let you know if i find a way to maintain the look!
This is often not about the tool even tho it may vary. Use a blow drying cream or a Mousse for curly hair to make it last. My curls last for 2 days and I switched my tools many times, sometimes I even only use socks
