*Desert Strike: Return to the Gulf, is a great isometric action shoot 'em up that received a favorable response with several gaming magazines granting scores of over 90%. A unique scenario and gameplay, great visuals and sound make this game a hit! It was released in 1992 for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive and later ported on Commodore Amiga, PC (MS-DOS), Nintendo SNES, Master System, Atari Lynx, Sega Game Gear, Nintendo Game Boy/Super Game Boy.*
Mega Drive version is superior, great sound, graphics, EA put more effort into this port. SNES version It's not bad, but it doesn't beat the Mega. The same can be said for the sequels, Jungle Strike and Urban Strike, both better on the Sega console, merit to EA.

The boxart reminds me of this other game I used to play on the PS1 as a kid called Gunship. Love these old flight combat games!
Had a lot of fun with this game. While sequels are better, Desert Strike is still very good on its own. And its ports is also great as well.
