Just to clear things up: Watch Me Burn is a single (not an upcoming album), and Disobey is the b-side. Japan is still a CD driven market, so singles normally have a b-side. That's why Disobey has the same artwork as Watch Me Burn.
They are, however, going to release an album on August 5th, titled "The Voyages". It's made up of re-recorded early songs, from albums released before Ryo became their vocalist.
Both of these songs are really good. They are both really different. One relies on a good chorus and the other is just one huge breakdown. Fucking insane. And ye, aeon is an amzing song aswell.
"This reminds of the release of Apollo and Machina. A more accessible single with a video and a heavier, more experimental song without a video".
Their vocalist named Ryo, joined the band in 2012 i believed. in 2014, they released their album called Cubes. That album literally shows how dirty Ryo's screams and growling is but my favourite album by them are probably The Sign and True North. And yeah, Devilcry was also my favourite song on Helix album.
Disobey goes from metalcore, to deathcore, to sludge metal and then almost a downtempo deathcore style again

Crystal lake new album "the voyagers" out this august. A remake album from the 2002-2010 era. Featuring "veron" the original vocalist.
I listened to Watch Me Burn last night and i really loved it. The pop grooves threw me off for a spell but i got into it because it still had the Crystal Lake charm to it. THEN THEY DROP THIS THE NEXT DAY. This band is so smart.
watch me burn is actually the first song from them that REALLY stuck out to me among the music i listen to; i have some of their songs saved, but this one actually caught me off guard
my first thought was, "wait holy shit this sounds like an anime opening"
imagine my surprise when i found out that they were a japanese band after looking into them
it makes sense that a lot of metalheads wouldn't really be into it, that song was definitely meant for a wider audience lol
Crystal Lake continues to prove they're one of the best bands in the game easily. So hyped for their new stuff.

The melody of the chorus in Watch Me Burn reminds me of the chorus of MC Thunder by Eskimo Callboy

Would you check out Misery Signals? Maybe their two new singles The Tempest and/or River King. They're an older metalcore band that like to mix a lot of progressive elements with metalcore. I think they're great, but underrated unfortunately in the grand scheme of the "scene". But I definately recommend you check them out. They have a lot of weird odd-time breakdown/riff/pattern stuff, but also nice somber, ambient clean tone stuff which is a really cool/interesting combination. I guess they might be considered one of the pioneers of progressive metalcore too, so I think they should be more well known.
Sounds almost like Ghost Inside or August Burns Red then you get hit with the sounds of hell on disobey. My neck is toast from the brutality. Mortal Kombat makes this even better 👌

@@dcannon121 yeah it was Gideon's feature part a lil after 2 mins in. Don't get me wrong I love a good 2-step breakdown but it didn't live up to the absolutely MONSTROUS build-up imo.

Don’t listen to much crystal lake but disobey sounds a lot like The Ghost Inside
The Ghost Inside are a huge influence for Crystal Lake. Back when the crash happened Crystal Lake released a cover version of Wide Eyed with all the profits going towards the medical expenses.

I'm not sure how watch me burn is considered slower, like yeah it's more melodic in the chorus and more catchy but it's definitely not slow. They are going wild in the song it's just not as hard as usual
