I have several hundred rounds through my xten, it’s still has a malfunction roughly every 3 magazines fully loaded to 15. I don’t short load them but our last outting I was shooting AAC 180 gr flat nose round tip. Normal 10mm plinking rounds. I ran 3 mags through and on the last mag I had the slide lock back with 4 rounds left in the magazine. No idea why but I did. It ran like a champ otherwise. I would love to see what they clock in at since it felt to me like full power ammo. I’m in Zephyrhills if you want to meet somewhere, I’d happily give you a box or two to test out. I’m a bone marrow transplant nurse at moffitt. Kinda cool to see more medical professionals in the community

I picked up a box of 32 winchester special on sunday. You never see it at the gun store.
Basspro and Cabelas price match has to be apples to apples though.

I set up a g40 10mm with a red dot for hunting many many yrs ago, but I still haven't used it yet....
Box/2 every week at locals. Buy online when shipping free. That 556 for 9.99 is good.
Mostly buy online with free or reduced shipping (True Shot had $9.99 shipping). I did find some of that Blazer at local store for $12.99 and Winchester for $24.99/100 so I picked some up. Usually only buy now if it's a good deal.
I was considering building a 10mm AR, for deer hunting. Its a .40 caliber bullet, with similar knock down power of a .44 Magnum, round. Plus you could shoot .40 Cal rounds, as long as both rounds fit in the same magazines. Not sure about the mags though.???

Ammo prices seem to be pretty stable albeit high. Got a couple boxes of G9 10mm at a local shop and a few hundred rounds of 180 ball from Freedom Munitions online. The ammo thieves are all over the country right now and I'm sure adding to our costs in retail stores which is why online is cheaper, at least my guess as to why.
That's probably a big factor. But in my area, the property taxes seem to go up every third Tuesday, so really, nothing is going to get much cheaper around here, and they already cannot compete with online retailers as far as ammo, not by a long shot. The range nearest me sells .223 for a buck per. Nice people, but, no, thanks.
If you want to stock up on that cheap 22, dump it in a ziplock and put it in an ammo can. Thats how i keep a lot of my ammo that i keep as a reserve. Maximize space and take advantage of good pricing.

The only ammo for which I am currently searching is .45ACP ball (range ammo). $20/bx online is the least expensive I have found. If anyone knows of it for less, please give us the word.
In SoCal, on a loss leader sale, we are still looking at $4 for 50 rounds of .22LR. If it gets down to $3.90 I'll start buying. 9mm 115 ball ammo is still like $17 for 50 rounds. Pre-pandemic it was $15 for 50, on sale, but one of the big box stores had a sale almost every week.
