    Well done! You managed to avoid the bits of his music history that he didn't particularly like...
    Like so many others, I loved him and his music from beginning to end. He touched us very deeply, and he is remembered with love. His filmed music legacy is an enduring masterpiece.

    You did a great job on this. I have to add my 2 cents with titles like this. Tragic, tragedy etc. Yes, he went through some crazy issues but seriously we all do! We've had some crazies in our family, people with addiction issues, divorce. Mommy & Daddy abuse. In the end David Bowie lived an abundant life and was extremely happy. Drugs certainly added a lot of paranoia & problems but He overcame that in a big way. I'm a massive fan so I got to go on that Bowie journey! I got to meet him in 2000 & he had a massive presence for sure. You did an excellent job on your research. Best of luck!

      P.S Many of Bowie friends said they never seen Bowie with another man & claimed it was a publicity stunt. Though he did support people being themselves. Also, that so called Nazi salute was a fabrication & pushed by the dishonest media. He was simply waving but media portrayed it as a salute of course media is so dishonest what would one expect? He did say Hitler was the first rock star music would play & he entered the stage lol. Bowie, was taking a lot of coke back then too.

    Bowie was a genius. His body of work is legend. Very few can equal. Certainly nothing today comes close. That whole era 70's thru 90's gave us a lot of amazing music.

    You failed to mention that he was an occultist of the highest degree, that Station To Station is actually the kaballistic Tree Of Life,that he was a disciple of Aleister Crowley (making it too clear a statement in the Hunky Dory album)... altogether, you forgot to mention that he was a very tortured soul, who'd given himself to demonic forces. As much as I appreciated not only Bowie but almost all of rock/pop music in the past, nowadays it's so clear to me how depraved the whole thing is. And,having immersed myself to classical music in the last two decades, I now find commercial music to be just simple, not to say comical,studio trickery in reality. I know I will be ridiculed and maybe hated by almost all people who will read this comment, but the truth is this I'm afraid. I still have more than 5000 vinyl records in my collection,half of them in original pressings. So I guess I have a right to comment a little bit different. So, there you go,hate me :-)

    Angioplasty is a treatment for blocked arteries, not an arterial condition.
    You skip over the '80s - most well known for the album Let's Dance. The UK scene was all about post-punk, New Romanticism and some rock. Bowie did them all and very few people, regardless of their musical "tribe", didn't like his stuff.

    Boy oh boy! Dating myself here, I was around 12. And my friend in the 80’s gave me a cassette tape “ Modern Love” and that marked my strongest and greatest love for Bowie. I was obsessed. I saw myself, an outsider who never fit in, in him and felt comforted by his presence. Beautiful soul, inside and out. Sadly, the most important, and inspiring artists, (my opinion )like Bowie, Cobain, and Michael Jackson are all gone. No more kind like them here on earth. I’m glad I got to grow up when the world was so vibrant because of thier contributions to humanity. ❤

    Nice, but somehow you missed the glaring fact that he had only one functioning eye since childhood. IIRC a kid at school stabbed him precisely in the pupil with a pencil and he was completely blind in that eye until his very passing. Did not lose the eyeball itself thus looking completely normal, just the pupil and unable to see with that eye. That certainly did have a whopping effect on his life and is also the reason his eyes looked different.

    • @SuperLisalis
      @SuperLisalis Місяць тому +3

      Actually he could see thru his eye, it was not poked with a pencil. His friend n he had a fight over a girl resulting in the damage, thou he could still see thru it.

    • @instantkarma8777
      @instantkarma8777 26 днів тому +3

      Please don't invent nonsense!
      David has spoken about it several times in interviews.
      His friend, George Underwood, 15, intended to give David a black eye because he lied about a girl. He punched him but his fingernail accidentally scratched David's eyeball.
      David ended up with anisocopia (a permanent dilated pupil) and his sight in that eye was never as clear as his right eye, but he could certainly see through his dilated left eye.
      They remained friends, going on to play in the same band the Konrads.
      George left the band scene to become a designer and illustrator and had a studio.
      He designed the album covers Hunky Dory and Ziggy Stardust.
      David later told George that he did David's career and image a great favour, having different looking eyes. His irises are exactly the same colour, just one has a very large pupil.
