Thank you Ryan. I love watching your 10 minute videos while having breakfast or lunch. It’s a perfect amount of time to learn a from you and finish my meal at the very same time-ish. I learn so much from you. I love your articulation of what you are doing and what you want us to get from these tutorials. You are a really good teacher.!

YOU are the KING of 10 minute paintings! I've seen some of the others that were painted as a results of your challenge. You beat them all hands down! I tried this one and it turned out fairly well except for one thing. I used a larger canvas than you did and I should have scaled everything down a bit. But I was pretty happy with it and want to say how much I learn by painting along with you!

Ryan thank you again for posting this 10 minute painting....please keep them coming, I truly enjoy them. I love how you have incorporated the three different styles of painting starting from the background, center and foreground. I am more of a realistic painter but painting it this way is much more interesting. Thanks again.

That sounds like a fantastic challenge. I'm sure that you'll find that you're a much stronger painter by the end of it. Consistency really is so beneficial with the medium :)

Thank you Ryan for another great tutorial! Awesome as always! Love the way you teach! Could you make a video like this on painting a house tiger cat? It would be nice if you could talk in that video about the things that are important and what to look for, when painting a house tiger cat? I am planning on doing a portrait painting of my lost furry best friends and was wondering if you could help me and give me some advice. This painting project means the world to me and I am sure you can understand that! Thanks Ryan and keep going! Love from Germany and me, Manuela to you 😍👍👌💐

    Master Ryan, congratulations.
I suppose you know your canvases are being seen all over the world, because they're appealingly beautiful.
Since I don't speak your language very well, I imagine other people don't speak your language so well either.
So if it's not too much to ask, could your comments slow down a bit while painting?
Thank you for the opportunity to see your blessed work.
    Luck!

Thank you Vladimir! I actually talk a little slower in my new lessons :) I only spoke quickly here because we had the 10 minute limit and I felt like I needed to give you as much information as I possibly could.. and 10 minutes rarely felt like enough time to do so haha

    • @Vlr870

Hello Master. First I want to thank you for your education and kindness in answering me.
I never drew or painted anything in my life because I had a "trauma" with a teacher early in my student life. I received very harsh criticism in the first drawing I made and never tried again.
Now, much older (smiles), watching you on youtube, I decided to try and got something, but enough to feel good and see that I might be able.
I'm following your videos, learning a lot and taking courage to try to give convincing brush strokes. haha ha...
You are at the genius level, congratulations on your competence and goodwill in passing this on.
      Greetings from Brazil.

Wow, saw one of your videos yesterday and was amazed by how good you are a painting, I myself sketch and have tried painting but can't find anything that works, do you happen to have your book on Amazon or google play for an eBook? But wow dude amazing and I can't wait to see more videos like this!!!!

Much appreciated, Jakob! I love the profile picture, Halo 3 will always be a classic. Painting can definitely take time to get comfortable with so don't get discouraged. It's also great that you already have a bit of a background in drawing. That really will assist you down the line. In regards to my ebook, it is exclusively sold through Etsy, sorry!

Is painting on canvas different from painting of drawing block?

    • @RyanORourkeArtist
      @RyanORourkeArtist  7 років тому

It's dependent upon how it's all primed/finished. I would suggest trying both and seeing which you innately prefer.
