    Steps 10 and 11 describe how to interface the neckline. Interfacing is a type of fabric used to give structure and stability to a garment. In this case, it is used for the neckline. The pattern pieces need to be sewn on right sides together and then the small part that is interfaced (the facing) needs to get folded inside the shirt and the top needs to be sewn in place to hold it down. The end result should be a nice, clean finished look after you iron it.

    What a cute fabric choice! You are delightful! I truly did find it entertaining watching your struggles! You're a brave young lady to tackle this project and make the adjustments you made. You'll find that the next time you make a top like this, it will be easier. I suggest using the pattern and instructions for the back neck facing.

      Wow thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes definitely I agree! I got someone to help me figure out the back neck facing and have made some other scrub tops since then with MORE success 😊

    Awesome job!!!!! The struggle is real and when you have to buy scrubs their pricey. The more pockets the more pricey. Love them, I think I'm going to take up sewing now.

      Good luck! Sewing is awesone and you can use scrubs you already have as a pattern. But making scrubs can be just as expensive as buying them.

    How did you do the back neck line? I got so confused by the directions but urs looks so much better than mine. Did u stitch it on, then stitch the hem line? And what did you do with the excess material?

    Those cut on body sleeves do work for a professional setting, though it may certainly be a preference to have sleeves sewn on.

    I wish we could still buy New Look patterns in Canada. Easy to follow patterns written in plain English.
    Thanks for the video.
    Im a baker and need to make more shirts.

    i'm about to start sewing from a different pattern (probs skip the sleeves) but ill iron the seams to make them easier - the sewing lesson i took insisted we iron.

    • @TheMinot60
      @TheMinot60 4 роки тому

      Ironing is pretty much as important as stitching. Essential if you don’t want that cheesy homemade look. Novelty print scrubs might just squeak by without, but barely.

      @mariannefoo9784  6 років тому +1

      Hey yes! Well I'm from Melbourne Australia, so I've gotten my materials from Spotlight which I have found has a range of so many different types of fabric (compared to lincraft).

      I bought them from uniform advantage (a US store) but got it shipped to Australia about 2 years ago. I don't think they sell them anymore though unfortunately.

    U probably should have folded the Hem twice. They might still fray you n the wash. Nice pattern. I'm gonna try to make one for my daughter. I wish I could have gotten your fabric cuz she LOVES unicorns and she's got pink pants.

    • @mariannefoo9784

      Hey yeah I definitely agree. Since then Ive changed how I make scrubs and I've definitely put more care into making them then I did this first time. Oh yeah I got them from a local Australian fabric store.
