    Great story, thank you Dr Steve. The superpowers dictate and plan many an outcome of conflicts. But as you rightfully mentioned, must have been a great eye opener as a young pilot at 21. You have had a great career and what an interesting current profession and diverse intrest! Keep it up and all the best!

    I believe that your mission contributed to the peaceful transition, albeit unintentionally. Even if it was to ensure goodwill. Must have been memorable for a 21 year old pilot. Cheers!

    I wish we had more human factor stuff when I was doing software engineering. It was only much later when I was doing post grad studies that I realized that when we design systems, the humans that we interact with are really part of the system. The human should be considered a system component and the properties of the human need to be considered as part of the design.
    It you design a bridge out of steel you need to understand the properties of steel (metal fatigue etc). If the system includes people then we need to understand the properties of people.
    I would love to hear your thoughts on the AF447 c4ash which was, IMHO, due to system designs that ignored the human factors.

    Would be good if u could plan a flight like that with the boys from Zalensky and Putin so they can draw plans in the sand on the Zambezi to stop this stupid war in the Ukraine. Enjoyed the talk Steve.

    Any idea where we can find a copy of the UN 435 schematic (diagram in the sand) referred to ?

    • @stevescott7375
      @stevescott7375 Рік тому +2

      Not from my side sir - in the sand was simply what will happen & when e.g. 6 weeks for this, then further 8 weeks for that etc. Perhaps the front page of the Sunday newspaper of that period is still around...Cheerio
