@@Fruitcake58 awesome! If you ever post it to instagram please tag me so I can see it! And yeah I never got the hang of the pointer finger tensioning for crochet (or for knitting) so I hold the yarn a bit different- glad I’m not the only one! For knitting I actually purl with my thumb tensioning the yarn, I have yet to see anyone else do it like that 😆
@@donnaterryhalleran2367 thank you so much! I have yet to learn to make socks but I do both knit and crochet and will probably try them eventually, and if I feel I have some good insights to share I will make a video.
@@lotte5173 the join as you go technique is included, I show it right after the first square and before the second. The border is 1 round of all white double crochet all around the blanket, then 1 round of the skip stitch technique (same as used in the squares) with the white done first and the tan done second, then 2 rounds of all tan double crochet. Lastly there is a decorative edge stitch which I will show in an upcoming video, I already filmed it actually just still in editing, but I show the edge stitch I used plus 3 other options. Stay tuned 😁
@@lotte5173 I’ll add this info to my video description, sorry I should have mentioned I’ll be doing a follow up video, it was just getting way too long for just 1 video.
This is sooo beautiful!! Thank you!!!
Beautiful!

@@GardeniaMagnolia5 yay! Glad you liked it. Works with any yarn really but I do especially love this yarn- it’s so soft for cotton right?!!
Beautiful blanket and I love your technique. Never seen that way but I love it 🥳💕

You are an excellent teacher. Do you ever do a sock tutorial either crochet or knit? I am sure I could learn from you. Thanks so much.
