  • I recently traded in my GTX Limited 260is for a brand new Sea-Doo RXT-X 300 personal water craft from Mountain Motorsports. With 300 HP on tap from is Supercharged 1.6L 3 Cylinder engine along with Launch Control, this Sea-Doo is an absolute monster on the water. In this video I take the RXTX300 out for some performance testing, including 0-60 MPH, 1/8 mile and 1/4 Mile and race my dad in his 318cc Edgewater Center Console.

    Back when I was in my early teens. I'm 33 now, My father had a Yamaha Waverunner 1200R Millennium Edition.. and he was always modifying the engine and stuff and propellers to make it faster. It would run 73 MPH with 2 of us on it.. My father passed away 3 years ago to Leukemia and he would love to see these now. He would love it.. Congrats on that badass pwc
    also we went to a Jet Ski rally in St Augustine.. it was very fun

      If your dad's ski was genuine 73mph GPS I can guarantee it would be scarier than these now! The new skis are super quick and stable but there's nothing like a properly tuned 2 stroke! I rode a 74mph GP1300R and it scared me way more than my Ultra 310R which also runs 74mph. These seadoo 300's are weapons on smooth water but I smash them for fun in rough water on the kawi. Not many left like your dad now man!

    Your channel is the best of its kind, Brooks. I have a mildly modded '05 FGT identical to yours (worn rr. tires and all). It'll run 9.90's/132-134 mph with stock size Hoosier autocross tires. That's the key. These 05-06 FGT's were never designed for drag racing! However, being 72, my first love are the 1964-72 "Golden Age of Muscle Cars".
    I've been into "hot-rodding" PWC's since 1995. A long story … Re. your RXTX, S-D guys know that stock for stock, in all respects, they have the king of the water with the RXPX/RXTX. The best looking PWC, too. That's why they are my favorite prey with what I have now … a quiet, sedate-looking sleeper, even the colors, with any and all "scare stickers" removed, of course.

Before he could take me out on the water I had to get the skippers license here, got the license and next morning out on the water. I've driven plenty of fast cars but never motorbikes. Legs, arms and back ached the next day but a lot of fun, it's pretty quick. I designed the original jet ski. When I was 17 I bought a 7-foot craft that had a small air-cooled motor off of a lawnmower mounted between my knees. Steering was out of a spitfire plane. Propulsion was by a small brass propeller from a small outboard motor. It was mounted central to a ring of brass-plate. Its top speed was well under the no-wake speed. To me, I thought it too slow and could be better built, using a Hamilton jet to power it. While designing a garden weeding tool that had hull-shaped blades the idea of a fast jet-powered ski boat came to mind but not a full-sized boat. I also designed a trike I named the Can-Am Spyder. That is why the two vehicles appear similarly formed. Drawing my initials stylized was used to get the basic upper shape and both vehicles got made and marketed as I had designed and named them. I am not known for any of my technical designs of things I conceived but I have enjoyed seeing my work in many forms, including the jet-ski, being enjoyed by people. I would, however, have preferred to have been given the recognition and rewards for my inventions, including the stories I created using my design drawings to form the stories row. Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone is my primary story. That too was stolen from my home, along with many other stories and inventions I am not known for. My work has long been gone but the many products that have stemmed from my design drawings have been developed to the stage that they are finely made and tuned machines that need only a rider. You may freely use the name Jet-Ski and refer to my claim if you are ever told otherwise because I am the original designer of it and the name of the craft. I am also the designer of the Sea-Doo as well. It was simply a larger version of the Jet-Ski. In case anyone wonders why I have not made the theft of my inventions and stories more widely known over the years since the theft of my artwork and written material on their construction and use it is because there was no way to recover from the loss of my entire privately created work of hundreds of designs of things. If you enjoyed the Harry Potter stories you may be interested in reading how they were developed. Read it at HTTP://www.jkrawling.tumblr.com - The Liar Bird (poem) will reveal what was not made public by the promoters of my wizard story about an orphan boy. Greg Simcock, Author J. K. Rawling

    It’s a personal watercraft because... Jet Ski (owned by Kawasaki) is a brand and typically refers to a stand up PWC with a hinge mechanism (for the most part) where you can do backflips on waves although they do have seated options, Sea-Doo (owned by Bombardier) is also a brand and typically refers to a seated PWC. They are not only different in design and functionality, but they are both brand names not devices. It’s just like calling facial tissues Kleenex’s, everyone knows what you are talking about, but these brands have different functionalities and intended uses.

    Actually the reason why Sea-Doo change the fill up nozzle from the front left-hand side Two under the compartment is because people when filling up would have guessed drip down the side of the boat hole into the ocean or the bay or pond wherever they were filling up so I had to do with more of an EPA issue and by changing it to inside of the boat any dripping is going to be retained inside of the hole on whatever your personal property is not into the waterways where you’re traveling.

    here is a little insight on the launch control that i noticed you did wrong. almost 300 comments so im not sure if anyone else mentioned this.
    when you activate launch control your VTS Logo will start flashing when its ready. also when you are in forward you need to adjust your trim higher up. the LC starts in low and will go up to what you have it set at. so if its all the way up then it will climb to your preset. if you have launch on and your trim is all the way down it doesn't do anything. it starts and ends in low trim keeping nose down and causing drag.
    also drags on PWCs start in forward. not in neutral. you are giving up time on the electronic IBR to lift the bucket before it starts moving. pro drags start the skis in forward on a lift. so the pump is ready to push but not enough to move it off the stand. so the most correct way would be to be slightly moving in forward then punch the throttle. you will get closer to the advertised 0-60. its actually more like 5-60. as you cant really get 0 on the water. hope this makes sense. and great choice! the RXTX is a monster. wait until you get around to re-flashing ECM. and open up even more HP while taking out all the limiters.

    • @DragTimes
      @DragTimes  4 роки тому

      ah, gotcha, thanks for the info! what about tapping it into forward, then going WOT? would the will the trim still lower while in N with launch activated?

    • @fullypinnedmedia1162
      @fullypinnedmedia1162 4 роки тому

      @@DragTimes yes. it is active and ready when flashing. it will be active to about 10-13 mph before it starts to go up to your preset. i cant remember the exact speed it starts to go up. but as long as the VTS is flashing its in the lowest and ready to go up to your set preset. when it stops flashing its ether going up or at your preset. then when you slow down again to bellow 10-13mph it will lower it self back down until you hit it again.

      BBC Yup carbon seal ring gets worn when not so smart people rev them up for long periods of time out of the water like when flushing them on the hose . Carbon seal ring is DRY the water lubricates it when it’s in the water . Kind of like a packing nut on a boat with V drives or straight drives .
