  • At Catholic Mass, August 11, 2024, 1Kings 19:4-8 and John 6,41-51 is read.
Studying Aramaic I get a broader and more understandable Jesus. With the Greek translation "I am the bread...". I ended up in a strange Pantheistic view of God.
I bought Neil Douglas Klotz' (NDK) two books “The Cosmic prayer” and “The revelation of the Aramaic Jesus”.
NDK helps me to betters understand what Jesus said according to John 6,41 "I am the bread that came down from heaven,"
Bread is a Greek translation of Jesus Aramaic "Lahma". The root "hma" means according to NDK "growing vigor, passion, varmth".
So "Lahma" means according to NDK "understanding, food for all kind of growth and for elementary life in general" Jesus also tells where this "food" comes from.
Heaven is a limited translation of the Aramaic "shmaya" that means "the vibration from God" that could be felt with your inner ears.
Jesus said once metaphorically "Listen if you have ears" but he meant your inner ears of thought.
So Jesus said that he was sharing the understanding given to him by God. As the Greek writers could not understand the Aramaic language, they chosed the western translation bread and heaven.
Pope Francis warns us from falling into archetypes and preconceptions. But the problem is that the Gospel authors themselves fell into preconceptions as they did not understand Jesus' Aramaic messages.
