The field where the sheep lay and roam look so peaceful, even in the chill. Thank you so much for sharing a little glimpse of your farm. This is such a wonderful cheerful painting. Such a relaxing way to paint. I really need to do more of that. Take care and stay warm.
Diane, i simply love it when you share bits and pieces of your life in the country; dogs, cats, sheep, pastures....so lovely, even if it is cold. And i love today's painting. Thank you.
Right Diane, I think we don’t talk about the pandemic because we can’t bear to think about the misery that changed our lives so drastically…it’s still sort of a fresh wound…maybe in 20 years or so we will have healed enough to have a better perspective. At least that’s how I feel after Long Covid grabbed and hung on… It was a bit before that that I started watching your art channel and a couple of others and it has been a healing balm. I especially get excited about your landscapes! Last year I used a version of one you did for a birthday card for one of my Sisters. She gets one every birthday and she said that one was her most favorite one…I’m so humbled that she has kept in a box every card I’ve ever painted for her…what a warm place that created in my heart! Many of the later ones have been from your inspiration!
I think you show us how to begin and then we take it from there! I learn so much from just watching you and that encourages me to explore and experiment. Plus I like seeing your animals and your surroundings.
Hi Diane! Lottie and Liam are so beautiful and happy! Those sheep are so smart to enjoy the sunshine while they can. The different greens and the whole scene is so serene, as I know it must really be serene where you live!😊❤
Enjoyed your video today snuggled up with my baby boy, Bandit, after surviving the most rare snow storm! It NEVER (or hardly ever) snows here and we got over a foot of snow! The whole state shut down! 😂😅 Thank you for sharing and stay warm! ❤
Wow, such weird weather we’re all having! Didn’t it snow in the late 1960s in Texas? I remember watching an episode of Dallas where Bobby talked afterwards about them having trouble because of the snow, and having to delay shooting… I think that’s right… I’ll have to look it up! (Used to love that programme like crazy!)
I love this painting and video and I’d definitely call it whimsical. I enjoyed the opening and walking around with you outside on your farm. I hope you do more of this kind of painting in the future. PS: I also loved your “child like” as you put it, drawing!!
Love seeing your sheep. They looked very relaxed laying on the frosty grass in the sun. Brrr. They have such nice coats on to keep them warm!! Your property is so pretty. Do they say Paint like a child? That's great because that's what I do!! I love this little painting and I will try it. Thanks, Diane!
Such a beautiful sketch and painting, Diane. Those Kuretake paints that you introduced me to are still my favorites. Such beautiful colors! I love seeing your sweet animals too!
I think this is my very favorite work of yours, Diane. There’s a simplicity, an innocence, a joyfulness in whimsical landscapes - especially if they happen to include animals. And, thank you greatly for not being a person who puts music in your videos. 😊
Ty Diane, ty for being you and sharing with us here on UA-cam! 💜 Loved the peek 😮of your sheep and doggies! Would you mind sharing the breed of your sheep? I clean/dye/spin fleece, well I did before the pandemic…and was curious if I might have a cleaned fleece of the same breed in my stash. I need some inspiration to try and get back to working (more like adult playing heehee 👩🏼🎨🥳💜), w/fiber. I’ve been thinking a lot about it lately, but I’ve spent the last 12 months trying to learn to watercolor (after almost 2 yrs trying to recover from heart failure and stroke just after the first covid jabs), and here’s where I ty again 💜 “I could use washi tape…” I literally laughed out loud! I begin each day with you for so many reasons, one being your excellent sense of humor. You’ve taught me to paint and appreciate the infinite possibilities/good choices that one makes in the art. I’ve just thrown my first voluminous comment away, as I often do hahaha, so I’ll say ty for this playful painting 💜 I’m finishing a zentangle type piece today (w/o the doodles, just wc), and looking forward to beginning something similar as this tomorrow. (Maybe everyone has a dilapidated building nearby, ours was also on the way to town too! 😂) Bye for now and love you lots xx Jules 💜🎨🌛
Hi Jules, please don’t censor yourself, I’m always thrilled to read your long and entertaining messages! The sheep are Jacob’s sheep. The fleece spins really well - I spin it in the raw because it’s easier and it knits up into very nice clothing. Glad you find the videos fun, so happy that you are recovering from your serious illness and wishing you much better health in the coming year. Sending love, Diane xxx
@ ty dear friend…you’re a treasure!!! I forgot to say Ty for your sheep’s breed. I’m going to ask hubby to look through my clean and not clean fleeces for the Jacob, and take your advice about spinning it in the grease . It sounds familiar and think I have a fleece, or 2 in our cozy little home, Hahaha 💜🌻👩🏼🎨
I like the comments about buying a house in France. I have some friends who have been looking into that for awhile now. But I didn’t see The link to the woman who made the funny comment about “not believing things will be sorted. “ I wanted to share her name with my friend. Your sheep are gorgeous!!!
My new puppy, Gracie, watches your sheep very closely! Could you imagine a "sheep herding dog" with 2" long legs? (She's a miniature dachshund). Wonderful video. Thank you so much!
Hi Diane, I think what people are referencing is there are some channels doing their own watercolor that don’t talk they just paint in people like it when you talk versus just paint
Another pen and wash artist mentioned not joining up /matching lines on watercolour paper to get a more pleasing effect. I found that works well for me ….
Diane, i haven't been with you for very long so you may have already been asked this, but if we are to download a sketch, how do we copy that sketch onto our watercolour paper? Have you done a video on this?
@ Sorry Covid impacted that business, but so very happy are doing what you are doing. I love watching your videos, seeing you animals and farm, and learning watercolor. ❤️
Oh, thanks. I love the sheep! All WONDERFUL.
Love the whimsical landscapes you do! This is so cute. It makes me very happy to watch and see your result!
Thank you so much!
Just listening to you is so relaxing to me. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
Very sweet!!! It lightened my mood. Thank you! 🥰
You’re welcome 😊
I love your scenes and your sheep. I didn't realize you had so many. You inspire me with your paintings and your positive talks! ❤
Thank you so much!

LOVE YOUR CHANNEL DIANE! ❤🧑🎨💯
Thanks so much 😊
I love glimpses into your fields and yards plus watching the animals is cool. Thanks!
Thanks so much Kate!
I love the sheep, I had a friend that had approximately 300 ewes, I am a registered nurse and I helped her with lambing. I love lambs.
Such a colorful cute landscape. 🎨
And it’s so good to hear you laughing again. 😊
😊 thank you

I can’t wait 20 years to find out!!!!! You’re right though, it changed everything so suddenly. Glad you enjoy the landscapes - they are fun to do!
Thanks for the moments of zen we so desperately need!
You’re so welcome!
Wow the gate latch, made of wood is awesome!
Live your posts. I feel like I am listening to a good friend. I am also a watercolor artist since 1979!
Wonderful! So glad you enjoy it!
I think you show us how to begin and then we take it from there! I learn so much from just watching you and that encourages me to explore and experiment. Plus I like seeing your animals and your surroundings.
That’s the idea Teri, hope you find it interesting - I believe in art, not copying!!
I love your style. Lovely to hear you chuckling, too, and always love seeing your beautiful farm
Glad you enjoy it!
I love your whimsical landscapes! And Kuretake, yeah! ❤
Thank you! Cheers!
This is a wonderful project!! Beautiful and fun!!!!❤😊
Thank you so much!

This one is lovely with the sheep!

@DianeAntoneStudio Yes! You're exactly right! So did I! I do catch re-runs every now and then. 🥰
I so enjoyed the visit to the field with the sheep. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!

@ …. Great! I love your whimsical landscapes! Thank you!!
I love this scene! So whimsical and relaxing…..wonderful! I can’t wait to try this one. Thank you, Diane!
You are so welcome!
All that green is so nice. I’m tired of looking at snow.
Oh yes, you must be. It’s hard.
Nice introduction to your lovely animals, so fun. I like the landscape.
Thanks Pat, so glad you enjoyed it!

Yes they do sometimes, and it’s always a good way to start the day!
Love the soft background as well as the soft structures.
Thanks so much!
“Quick, open the gate Mum! Yup that’s it, the grass is greener……”. Loved seeing your sheep Diane!
Love the looseness of the painting - inspires me to loosen up! 🎉🎉🎉
I'm so glad!
Such a beautiful sketch and painting, Diane. Those Kuretake paints that you introduced me to are still my favorites. Such beautiful colors! I love seeing your sweet animals too!

Love the whimsy!
I am impressed you can talk and paint at the same time, I can’t, if someone starts talking to me I am lost
Very Beautiful and nice Video,
More Thanks.👍👍😍😍💚💚
Thank you! Cheers! More coming!
What a lovely cheerful painting. Also enjoyed your commentary and seeing your sheep ❤
Thanks so much 😊
Totally enjoyed doing this sketch with you and the sheep. Here’s my version.
This approach seems new. Wow!
I love your painting. Your farm is gorgeous. It looks so peaceful there.
It really is! Often total silence.
This was a delightful video! I plan to try this. Thank you for the tour. The sheep listen to you.
Glad you enjoyed it! Have fun!

Yes, no music in my videos any more!! Thanks so much for sharing and for your kind comment xxx

Lovely little landscape!
Loved this project, I have been working on realistic snowdrops and needed something fun.
So fun! Love that younust create from your heart!
Thanks so much!
Love the color choices. Fun painting!
Thanks so much 😊
I love your channel, it’s so inspiring, plus your words of wisdom are right on

I have a French friend and she says you are so right.
Great video!!!!
Thanks!! Glad you enjoyed it!!!
Fun creative video

Sorry Ann, I forgot to add her channel, here is it ua-cam.com/video/BkoIergAp0Y/v-deo.htmlsi=n09nlTbHq04opnJC and her name is Kathy’s Flog From France
@ thanks so much!

Oh that’s so sweet! Dachshunds are adorable dogs!
Your painting turned out great. I love it. Did I see that one of your sheep had 4 horns? Didn’t know that was a thing. Pretty magical. 👍🏻👍🏻
Yes, they all do, some bigger than others. There are also some Jacob’s who have SIX horns. Those I keep away from, too complicated!
Hi Diane, I think what people are referencing is there are some channels doing their own watercolor that don’t talk they just paint in people like it when you talk versus just paint
Diane! We had snow here in south Texas!!!!

❤
Diane, i haven't been with you for very long so you may have already been asked this, but if we are to download a sketch, how do we copy that sketch onto our watercolour paper? Have you done a video on this?
Hi and welcome to the channel. Yes, there’s a video here: ua-cam.com/video/21zedtxT8iA/v-deo.htmlsi=HPp6Wu30Md0tSEgd Hope this helps!
I would agree, talking while painting has to be extremely difficult! We can see what you’re doing so a little quiet time is perfectly acceptable.
Some days it’s harder than others!
Luv-ver-ly jub-ber-ly.
I do watch Kay’s UA-cam
What business did you have before the pandemic?
We had an afterschool tuition centre (similar to Oxford Tutors or Kip McGrath) - taught hundreds of children maths and English for years.
@ Sorry Covid impacted that business, but so very happy are doing what you are doing. I love watching your videos, seeing you animals and farm, and learning watercolor. ❤️
This is called primitive art
