During the first two years of Pancrase, both Funaki and Suzuki could beat anyone at will. Once injuries and Technique from their opponents caught up, this was no longer the case. Funaki worked Ken, while Ken shot on Funaki. Bas Rutten shared a similar sentiment.

Funaki probably contemplating the fact that three years earlier in the UWF(reborn) dojo he ragdolled and easily submitted Shamrock during Shamrock's 2nd tryout multiple times (as did Suzuki) and now Shamrock's skill in Japanese Catch as Catch Can combined with his unmatched athleticism has surpassed his.

Pancrase is both a hybrid style of mixed martial arts and a set of rules under which you can fight any way you want.

solitarylonewolf Mixed martial arts are a sport, not a real martial art. They are not quite into all that stuff of respect and spiritual growing. The whole business tend to be two testosterone fueled young men in boxers who come to beat down each other to get the fame and the money. Some of them show classical respect and bow to their opponents, but it still not accurate to want them to behave like a bushido follower.

+AMK Actually I have experienced it, you ignorant jackass. Sportsmanship and humility is something you obviously know nothing about, and it is that to which I am referring. In martial arts, it's considered improper and inappropriate to celebrate after winning a point or a match. If you cannot even understand or acknowledge that, then don't bother commenting. You're just making a fool out of yourself.

Look at all these guys during the steroid era of sports... I grew up with these guys and the big movie stars thinking it was what men actually looked like. It's amazing how much sleeker athletes look today. Obviously they still use steroids but its lesser so.

Actually Kenny wasn't "juiced", anyone who knew him at that time(which I did) knows how naturally developed he was. He was a gym rat and workout fanatic. There were other times later in his career that he was huge. Most guys just don't have that physique, therefore some people have to complain to feel better about themselves. He was a stud and pioneer in the sport. He deserves that credit.
