Lemmo's in a class by himself!
Rock on!
These look fantastic, and Lemmo just kills all these demos.
lemmo is the man dude
The pickups sound good and Lemmo playing is just soulful. Lemmo should get his own Fender Signature.
I 2nd this! I will buy a Godzilla any day!!
@@kendallcovell9386for real
Man, Lemmo’s playing is out of this world. Taking each diff model, paired with the genius of Tim Shaw cunife pickups, you just kinda melt away with each strum and note plucked. I love every pickup you’ve done, but these are in another stratosphere. Imagine if Jimi was still alive with these pups?!?! You guys have KNOCKED these out of the park.
When I realised how much Seth and Tim did for this industry I was amazed
When I realised how much persistence Tim has to improve works of Seth I almost cried
Thank you mister Shaw for improving sound and story of electric guitar every day. I hope to meet you one day. It would be an honour.
I’m really glad they started making the wide range pickups with the magnetic screws again. I hated that period where companies were offering all these pickups that “looked like” old originals, but were just normal modern designs underneath - normal humbuckers in Wide Range covers, normal single coils in gold foil covers… that whole era of fake vintage stuff really bugged me.
Man, Lemmo’s playing was insanely satisfying. Everything sounded great.
Modern day Fender outshines modern day Gibson in every way, shape, and form. God bless.
Good responsive sound on the Strat. I can hear the compression, and increased mids. Congratulations upon your achievement.
Oh, Fender never ceases to amaze - great pickups and demo!
I hate to say it but I think these cunife single coils would sound great in a D’Angelico.
Thanks for continuing to put out parts, Fender. I think it’s great that you (in some ways) contribute to the building community.
Lemmo NEEDs a Signature Jazzmaster. PLEASE Fender!
Okay, I don't comment on UA-cam (or anywhere... ever), but I'm commenting. The musicality of this collection is nuts. Tim Shaw is the mutha-f'n pickup fairy. I mean... d00d! The Jazzmaster tones alone (both sets) in this video are bananas! I need them all. Amazing.....
Well done Fender, a lot of information in this video! Very nice pickups too, I'm always glad to see innovation and love the R&D stuff!
Two things that I wish Fender would make someday: CuNife Jaguar pickups and single coil-sized Humbuckers. I love buying single coil sized humbuckers from Seymour Duncan, but I'd love to buy some straight from Fender. I'd especially love it if they designed a single coil-sized humbucker specifically for Jaguars. That would be a dream come true. Seymour Duncan doesn't even make single coil-sized humbuckers for Jaguars. You can use the Strat versions, but I just feel like Jaguars don't get enough love. They're perfect guitars for modding.
I imagine it's the short scale that puts a lot of people off. It's a beautiful instrument, it has that classic-yet-forward-looking early '60's Fender look, and they're well built. I sat down with an equal value Jazzmaster and Jaguar in a music store, and spent a little time with both and the Jazzmaster with the regular Fender 25 & 1/2 scale just felt more comfortable, and I prefer the Jazzmaster pickup's tone also, but tone is subjective. The Jaguar just felt to cramped for my big hands. But a beautiful guitar, nonetheless.
@@hollymartins6913 yea I get that. I find my strat to be extremely comfortable. It's my favorite guitar, but I also love my Jaguar. I'm also only 5'7'' so maybe that's why I like them.
Incredible work Fender and team! 🙌🏼♥️
A Lemmo Demo is ALWAYS superb!!
Wonderful to see Michael Lemmo "Test Driving" his beloved Jazzmasters (as well as others)
Great Video Mr. Tim "Shawbucker" Shaw
I have a shawbucker strat that play every day. I will listen to this man
Best guy to show what a guitar/pick up/amp can do, He's playing is very tasteful, pretty cool guy!
I’d love to try these in my strat and jazzboi really cool new pickups . Impressive seeing new ideas like this come out today. And they sound great ! Fender hit me up 😂 I don’t have money but I have love
Great sounding pickups! and Lemmo's Performance... so good!
Very tasteful playing, especially @5:00. Reminiscent of Black Sabbaths ‘sleeping village’.
Love the clarity of the pickups.
I’d love to hear them on an Acoustasonic.
How Lemmo is not playing stages worldwide is a mystery. Someday soon hopefully.
What a demo and what an interesting piece 🙌🏻
Tim talks about pickups like they are alive with such passion..
Lemmo killin’ it again and again!
I recognized him by his famous rings.
Thanks for bringing back the real cunife magnets!
At first, I wasn't sure how much of a difference these would make but I'm very impressed by the changes I hear. They're definitely noticeable and they sound great. They won't necessarily replace the originals but they never needed to. These are a great alternative with a lot of character you don't get from the traditional pickups. I can easily see people having another guitar just for these pickups.
The similar parallels of Seth Lover & Tim Shaw from Gibson to Fender is interesting.
Oh and Lemmo at his best! Playing & not talking!
This guy knows what he's doing, I've got a Shawbucker humbucker in a project guitar I assembled last year and it's got everything.

Okay, I'm sold on the tone of the Cobalt Chrome pickups. 👏👏👏
I had this on in the background, and wasn't actually watching the video. I thought it had ended and a Guitar of the Day video was now playing. Lemmo has such a unique style you can immediately tell it's him.
Fender always trying their best to just make something different and cool while accidentally staying ahead of the competition! Best guitars in the world!! 🤘🤘🎸🎸
Love me some Lemmo - and great to learn about these pickups, thank you Mr Shaw
They sound clear, wow!❤
Lemmo working for Fender now? Dude needs his own signature JM.
Glad to see Fender has put their hat in the Cobalt usage fun!! You know how much money they can make?! My family in the Congo are celebrating!
God, all of these sound stellar!
Dear Fender, you have chosen wisely having Lemmo demo your products. He's the Demolemmo!
Great job Michael 🎸
I can't believe those pickups in the jazzmaster in the intro are humbuckers, they sound so clear!
Thanks for Lemmo. Pickups sound amazing, too.
Cool pickups, fantastic playing and Tim Shaw. What’s not to love? And great to hear someone pronounce alnico correctly.😜
Awesome introduction and explanation!
LEMMO'S PLAYING ALWAYS SURPRISES, IN A GOOD WAY
just look at that stunning surf green jazzmaster. oh my gawd.
Expanding on the cunife pickups is a great idea
Give Lemmo his own signature guitar, amirite?? 🤘🎸
Michael Lemmo with the yellow Tortex flow. Best pick ever made.
MICHAEL LEMMO!!! I thought , that sounds like Mike...then I heard the signature droning low E with the tap-ons and saw the rings and said It's LEMMO!. Why not, he's one of the most recognized guitarists on the net. Why wouldn't Fender want some of that crossover action. You go boy! Oh and tell Tim the pickups sounds fabulous too, by the way...
The progress in today's modern pickups is amazing. Tim Shaw is the man !! btw - Sounds like WAND @8:29 > Flying Golem
Fab to see Lemmo in these demos. Loving my CuNiFe Tele.
i saw Lemmo and i know its going to be tasty and soulful playing.
Turn up the love 🤙🎸
Sounds very good with Lemmo, all Fender disciples are content
I have the cunife telecaster widerange in the neck.
It sounds incredible.
Cobalt could be called Fey-cur-co btw.
As someone who's job involves metal chemistry on a daily basis, this suggestion disturbs me greatly 😂
Oh these look VERY cool
Michael Lemmo… King of the Fender JAZZMASTER ✌️😎
Tim is the best!
WORLD CLASS PLAYING FROM LEMMO
An uncredited Michael Lemmo ripped some hot licks out there...nice job Fender and Mr. Lemmo!
bravo Mike!!
Very informative as to why Seth Lover invented these in the first place and why they subsequently disappeared from Fender's lineup.
I find the new single coil cunife/cobalt chrome strat pickups fascinating.
My suggestion for an acronym for cobalt chrome would be CrFeCo (pronounced Cro _Fee_ Co).
They didn't disappear from Fender's line-up as far as I understand, considering they're in some of Fender's Custom Shop pickups and have been for decades.
Take it up with Fender. They themselves say authentic CuNiFe Wide Range pickups disappeared from their lineup in 1979.
@@CerealDust-nStuff
He’s right Fender just reintroduced the authentic Wide Range Humbuckers a couple of years ago. That being said, they have had guitars at every price range with pickups they called Wide Range Humbuckers since the 90s, but they weren’t the real thing.
@@charlesbolton8471 The reason I'm confused is because the CuNife pickups have been available on the Fender Custom Shop Guitars sold at Sweetwater for decades.
Nice sounds ! Very interested with the strat set ❤
We like the sound of that! 🎤
These pickups sound great! Very cool idea from Fender.
Rock on! Appreciate the kind words
@@fender send me all your guitars
This is amazing! Can we get custom LEMMO pick ups!? Or a pedal to try and get this tone!!? Amazing!
Go! Go!! Micheal!!!
If I want to put CuNiFe WRHB pickups on ultra jazzmaster, would I need to upgrade potentiometers and pickguards?
Insanely talented player
You should check out evan boller from Pdx 🤯🤯
Bravo 👏 Lemmo
I was thinking at the beginning of this video 'Why don't they use it in other pickups', then they did! 😂
Cant think of a better person to demo these pickups than the mighty Lemmo
Haven't liked one Shaw pickup and I've tried almost all of em. Well 40th time is the charm I guess...
F-----ing amazing intro, sounds awesome
What piece is it???
I’d like to change the Tom shaw humbucker in my acoustasonic jazz master with something more powerful. Any suggestions 😊
fantastic for tele and strat. sound more 50s and 60s than the old ones... very classy looking, great sound and even humbucking all at once.. and from fender itself.. omg.. i will order immediately.. hope there will be demos comparing regular strat pickups to these ones.... the jazzmaster style don't look as good unfortunatley but not worse than the original jazzmasters
Lemmo is the perfect choice to demo these new pickups.
Nice
Lemmo doing what he does!
Yes plz🎸《☆》I like the plastic cover WRHB style on The Jazzmaster with Cobalt Chrome Pole pieces. A set of those may find themselves on my Thinline Vintera Telecaster eh👍🏾😎☮
8:46 Home Depot theme song is that you?? 🤩
Question class ... I want to put a cunife humbucker in the bridge of a squier offset telecaster (love this guitar), what do I put in the bridge. I was thinking about a Seymour Duncan mini 59. Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks.
Nice, when do you release them in single units. I for one does not need a whole set.
CoFeCro (CoffeeCrow) would sound like a combination of metals for a Pickup with attitude to me. 🤷♀
Give your sound the jolt it needs. 😆
i think they sound great . seems its spatial in the mids and trebs without trying . vs. the sweetness of a alnico 2 that still has enough loose bass... idk...
lemmo!!! 🙌🏽
Lemmo killed it. Can we please just get the playing in full please?
I can't the specs on the Fender web site for the WRHB pickups: what is the pole spacing on those? E to E? is it 52/53/54mm?
Thanks you, Fender team! I was waiting for this pickups
LEMMO!! 😁👍
The new pickups sound great, and Lemmo’s playing his a$$ off!
I want to hear that whole piece at 5:12 ❤❤
would I be able to fit those widerange jazzmaster pickups in a jaguar or a strat?
nice
I’ve had a fender MiM strat that’s been sitting in an hss config with a fender atomic in the bridge after I ripped out the invader that was in there (bought the guitar for the pickup) and I’ve been wondering what to do with it ever since. I think I know exactly what going in!
Took me years to find a set of old tele deluxe cunife pickups. I wondered why they never rereleased these things
Lemmo is one of my favorite guitar players, so emotional and passionate in his playing. Thank you
Turn up the love 🤙🎸
Which model os the first jazzmaster? So beautiful
Lemmo!! Demo master!!
