Always impressed by how LED gives a fresh new breath to our old headlights, the next step is to upgrade them with a standlight function I have no idea how though
LEDs are not self limiting in the way a tungsten bulb is, The resistance goes up as the tungsten filament gets hotter so it helps keep from burning out when going fast. The LED is the reverse it offers less resistance as the voltage goes up so it may get fried. I would like to see the video where you give it a road test over a few days to see what happens. You made need some sort of voltage regulating circuit.
In the description of the bulb on the product page it states there's an "inductor" to prevent "excessive current." Probably bad translation but that's probably a voltage regulator of sorts. It's more than just a led, there's some circuitry inside also. They show it in a exploded diagram.

Same here. I may do a test at a night time.

Hi. I will try to do a video in dark as well.

your channel is so helpful especially for restorers like our channel who does restoration of old vintage bikes. thanks brother
Thanks! Cheers
thats alot brighter than i thought it would be
For 6V, I love it. I highly recommend it!
@@IvansBikesBmws i dont have a bike rn but when i get one ima look into that
@@beanteen
Hope you get one soon! Cheers!
@@IvansBikesBmws i do too

Having a bike is must. It is very rewarding for our health, transportation and so on.
That original bulb is just a regular tungsten filament bulb, it's not Halogen.
Thanks for correcting me. I knew I screwed up on that info.
@@IvansBikesBmws You're most welcome, we all learn everyday 🙂

I agree.
They discontinued making them lightbulbs and you can’t find them any more vintage ones .
Yup. I found this one so randomly. They are amazing.
Volt ,watt ???
volt it is.
Why don't they put that on a Tesla car why do you have to stop to charge your battery when it could be charged as you drive
Love the idea. I think I should do a video how the light perform at night.
Because the battery is what make the car move in the first place.
Lol
