Koczis has been very underrated. He was the best player in the 1954 World Cup (and top scorer) I saw him play for Barcelona, he had exceptional technique, he never protested and he was a true gentleman.
In 1950s, there was a fantastic footballer with handsome face, dangerous header and clinical finishing...I would call him the tap in merchant successor before cr7... Yeah that is Sandor Kocsis..
Kocsis or as we called him in Hungary"kocka" was and still is my favorite player. He's the reason I fell in love with football.I'm so lucky to have seen him live.Btw he was a lot more than a striker. As a young player Kocsis was the darling of Ferencvaros but was "conscripted" to Honved but his heart belonged to Ferencvaros for the rest of his life.Indeed he was the "golden head".
The legendary striker. Only very rare people in the world knows him. 1954 world cup golden boot winner and scored 2 hat tricks in world cup. 75 goals in 68 games. Goal average for national team is 1.10.better striker than Pele.but, how much he scored for club??? Please reply football viewer. No one knows how great and iconic player he was .he is still a mythical football player 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.sadly, died at 49😭😭😭😭😭by suicide. He had goal scoring average of more than 2 in world cup 1954 scoring 11 goals in only 5 matches.O.M.G
He scored 444 Goals in 463 Matches in his entire career, he scored 369 Goals in 395 Club Games & 75 Goals in 68 Intl. Games. He also provided 50 Assists for national team & 163 Assists at Club level, total 213 Assists along with those 444 career goals.
For me he is top 6 of all time, I recommend watching the available footage of the Uruguay game if you haven't already, not only did he score twice but he got an assist a pre assist 4 key passes and 6 through balls from my count🤯
He is in the debate for who comes after R9 with Nordahl, Nyers, Romario, Baggio, and Labruna (Suarez, Lewandowski, and Ibrahimovic are good shouts as well. I may have missed a few but he's up there. 1) Bican 2) Puskas 3) Müller 4) Eusébio (yes he was a striker) 5) Sindelar 6) Meazza 7) Leonidas 8) Van Basten 9) Ronaldo
I would put him in Top 5 (including second strikers) 1) Pelè 2) Puskàs 3) Eusèbio 4) Kocsic 5) R9 ADS is between Puskàs & Eusèbio, but wasn't a pure striker

The Puskas&Kocsis tandem was even better than the Puskas&DiStefano one.

Sandor is the most criminally neglected player ever... perhaps next to Garrincha.
